After numerous wars and terrorist attacks, Yokosuka had finally entered a state of peace; it would last only 10 short years. A deadly explosion rocked the continent, disrupting peace and causing a worldwide panic. Take on the roles of Kazuki and Ryogo as they try to clear their names after being linked to the explosion. Engage in 60 different missions as Kazuki and Ryogo recruit friends, surf the Internet for information, and customize their wanzers. Will Kazuki and Ryogo be able to save themselves?

Front Mission 3 is a turn-based strategy game with a unique Double Feature Scenario. It allows the player to choose one of two completely different viewpoints towards the same general plot of the game. Each scenario features eight characters with their own unique robots.
