PlayStation 3 owners wandering Fallout 3's wastelands have been left out of the "level 30 club" for months, but that changes today as Bethesda has announced that the Broken Steel DLC is now available for download on the PSN store. Broken Steel, for the uninitiated, fixes the ending of Fallout 3 so you can continue to wonder after the credits roll, adds extra missions, weapons and perks, increases the level cap to 30 and tweaks the enemy balancing.

This first batch of DLC runs for $9.99, and the release of the rest of the Fallout 3 DLC will continue next week with both Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt. It will conclude with Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta the following week.

Tyler says: If you're a Fallout-playing PS3 owner and have the cash, these next two weeks could be expensive ones. And while I loved playing through the pieces of DLC, I have to wonder if they've lost that "new game smell." With so many new titles on the way, will games like Uncharted 2 or Brutal Legend hog the attention of the potential DLC buyers? Any PS3 owners out there planning on picking up all the DLC?
