Dust 514 is a free-to-play first-person shooter that's being incorporated into the EVE universe, acting essentially an action MMO for consoles. The game offers a mix of first-person shooting and real-time strategy gameplay where you play as a marine with a rifle running around on the ground. It's not only set in the EVE universe, it's actually connected to EVE. The Dust battlefields will determine who controls territory within EVE's world. The EVE Online players will have to contract players of Dust to go in and destabilize territory.
The universe of EVE Online persists without your input, and so will the planets and infrastructure of the first-person shooter Dust 514, which are the same planets and installations in the same universe as CCP's infamous and acclaimed massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Last week we reported on CCP's new shooter Dust 514, delivering some new details about the game from a recent fanfest, and also a slew of new in-game screenshots. The first details surrounding CCP's new large-scale console sci-fi shooter, Dust 514, have arrived via a fanfest convention in Reykjavik, Iceland (h/t Eurogamer).
