Twitter is fast becoming the go-to way for developers and publisher to get news out fast. 3D Realms' George Broussard seems to agree with this sentiment and recently sent out a tweet which hinted at Duke Nukem Forever having finally hit some kind of meaningful milestone.
Closing out a milestone this week. 71 more tasks to do and we started with probably 800-900. Been a good push. Next one starts Monday.
Not a bad effort. For 24 years of development. However, if this coming Monday does represent another push with only 71 tasks remaining, surely gamers can expect to see some public information emerge about Duke Nukem Forever soon. In fact, E3 2009 is rapidly approaching so that would be the show to watch.

Additionally, worthplaying is reporting that the game's music will be composed by Jeremy and Julian Soule, and that long-time Duke voice actor Jon St. John is reprising his role for Duke Nukem Forever.

These chaps are only 71 tasks away. Charrright.

Bryn says: Now if I was being cynical, I'd say that how do we know George is even talking about Duke Nukem Forever on his Twitter feed? But that would be unkind. Seriously, E3 has got to be the time to show off the game. It's just gotta be.

Like a new legendary Pokemon, Duke Nukem Forever's allure has almost been and gone at this point. Will it ever emerge?
