I owe a colleague $10. After pulling 3D Realms' shooter back from the vaporware brink and confidently announcing a May launch date, Gearbox Software couldn't possibly delay Duke Nukem Forever again. At least that's what I thought. How silly of me. Studio head Randy Pitchford confirmed today that Duke Nukem Forever has been bumped. Again.

The Duke is unapologetic. Pitchford is not: "I'm very sorry for the added delay. We've all been working extremely hard and are very eager to deliver the game to you." See the apology for yourself in this "very special message" from Gearbox:

Duke Nukem Forever is being developed for Windows PCs, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The game is now set to ship on June 10 internationally and June 14 in North America.

Sharkey says: I should have known better. Given the game's development hell history, I honestly didn't think Gearbox would announce a launch date unless it was 100% confident it could meet it. Now then, anyone care to wager whether or not Duke Nukem Forever will meet its June ship date?
