The final missing chapter in Ezio's saga, The Bonfire of the Vanities, was added in February. But PS3 gamers interested in further exploring the Assassin's Creed universe will soon get their chance. Ubisoft announced today Assassin's Creed will soon have its own Game Space on PlayStation Home.

Developed by Outso LTD, Assassin's Creed on Home will feature what Ubisoft calls "a unique twist on the tower defense genre." Developer diaries, concept artwork, and an Abstergo Labs adventure are also planned for avatars to explore.

The full feature rundown from Ubisoft:
  • Explore locations from the Assassin's Creed universe. Working closely with Ubisoft Montreal, Outso LTD brings the world of Assassin's Creed to life in vivid detail for PlayStationHome.

  • Use Eagle Vision to escape Abstergo Labs: Prolonged Animus exposure has caused the Bleeding Effect to take hold of your Home avatar, allowing you to use Eagle Vision to try and crack the Abstergo Labs security systems.

  • Vendetta, a unique multiplayer tower defense game: The Templars are invading Masyaf! Using a Hero in conjunction with defense structures and buff buildings, lead your faction to victory against other Home players by defending your castle and weakening your opponent's resolve.

  • Animus 2.0 Database: Revisit all of the details about the locations and characters of Assassin's Creed II by using the Assassin's Animus.

  • Concept Artwork: View the illustrations and paintings that shaped the look and feel of the Assassin's Creed games.

  • Developer's Blog: Regular updates from the Assassin's Creed developers at Ubisoft Montreal.

  • Watch Assassin's Creed: Lineage and Developer Diaries. Watch the Lineage short film in its entirety, along with numerous Developer Diaries about the making of Assassin's Creed II.
  • Assassin's Creed on Home is slated for a late March / early April release.

Sharkey says: I'm all for a good tower defense game, and as a fan of the franchise, I'll definitely check out the Assassin's Creed Game Space. I'm curios to see just how much of the universe we'll be able to explore with our Home avatars.
