Starship Troopers

The first major action game following Starship Troopers, this game was originally announced for PS2, Xbox and PC, then later was listed for only Xbox and PC, but the final game was released as a PC-exclusive title. This version of the game will not be released.

Rooted firmly in Paul Verhoeven's interpretation of Robert Heinlein's novel about an epic battle of humankind against a menacing planet of bugs (the previous game based on Starship Troopers -- an RTS from another publisher -- put more emphasis on the novel's elements), this first-person shooter has Roughnecks plowing through literally hundreds of bugs at a time in onslaught after onslaught of intense encounters. The game's advanced engine allows for well over a hundred alien creatures at a time in battle scenes to bring the hellacious bug fights to life.
