In the futuristic world of Nano Breaker, nanomachines have transformed humans into horrific monster/contraptions. As an experimental cyborg solider, players can slash and rip their way through the machine onslaught with a shape-shifting Plasma Blade that destroys all in its wake. As humanity's last hope, users must prevent the world from falling into certain apocalypse! Gameplay features include a combo-based fighting system with simple and expert techniques, an intense hack and slash 3D action-oriented design, multiple play modes such as Story and Time Attack, adjustable blood colors, and a transformable weapon that offers various kinds of attacks. Available exclusively for the PlayStation 2.

Koji Igarashi will forever be known as the modern father of Castlevania. After steering the series in an entirely new direction with Symphony of the Night, IGA (as he's usually called) became an idol for fans of 2D action. But the market cried out for 3D games, and Lament of Innocence, IGA's first attempt at a 3D Castlevania, missed the mark. After that middling result, Konami revealed that IGA had another 3D project in the works. It would re-use the Lament of Innocence engine, and serve as a test bed for future 3D Castlevanias, letting the developers get to grips with this new (for them) technology and maybe make a fun game, besides. One of the all-new games announced at the recent Konami Gamers' Day isn't a sequel, although it bears the hallmark of a respected creator. Nanobreaker, in development by Koji "IGA" Igarashi, of Castlevania fame, is an original title set in a desperate future where nanomachines wreak havoc on humanity. As Castlevania: Lament of Innocence was IGA's first 3D game, he commented that all of the experience learned while making it will be brought to bear on Nanobreaker.
