Ikon

One of the earliest announced PlayStation 2 titles to come out of Australia, Ikon (internally codenamed "Next") is a near-future first-person action/vehicular shooter game that assigns players to lead a small band of grassroots freedom fighters in a brutal assault against corporate entities. Assuming the role of Diesel Steele, players will fight the man on open roads, abandoned towns, and within corporate skyscrapers as they drive fast, shoot straight, and rely on their team to back them up. Heralded as the first title to use MathEngine's powerful Karma physics engine, IKON was set to be published by Rockstar Games for Christmas 2003 before mysteriously vanishing out of site not too long after its announcement. The reason why remains a mystery.
