This platforming action game spins off from the epic console action game, Dark Void. In Dark Void Zero, you play Rusty, the first human born in the Void, who must take on the Watchers in a quest to stop their domination of Earth. With the aid of Nikola Tesla, and his state-of-the-art rocket pack, Rusty must take down the Watchers and their minions across three intense levels of action and intrigue.
Capcom's third-person shooter Dark Void is scheduled for release on January 19th, and with it Capcom has announced that it will also release Dark Void Zero as a DSiWare title (via Joystiq). Dark Void Zero takes the basics of the next-gen title and re-imagines it in 8-bit game design.
The developer pulled out all the stops in making the title retro, including a feature where gamers will have to blow into the DSi's microphone in the same way us old-timers would blow into our NES cartridges to make them work. The developer also wrote up a fictional history of the game's development, name-dropping Section Z and Mega Man as influences.
