Spoiler Alert: GameSpy's game of the show for this year's E3 was none other than the highly promising Nintendo DS title, Scribblenauts. We've been following the game's progression religiously, waiting for tomorrow's release date to arrive. Just days before the game hits shelves, a report from CrunchGear brings in news that the game's extensive in-game dictionary of over 22,000 words and phrases has been leaked onto the net.
Some hackerish type took apart the ROM and ripped the full dictionary. It comes off as a mix of… well, everything. Internet memes, deities, objects, scientific names of creatures, chemicals, and pretty much everything in between. Warning, it's over 20,000 items long.
A few notable (and amusing) entries include:

  • Air Horn
  • Ear Drum
  • Greater Swiss Mountain Dog
  • Hairy Fish
  • Jazz Shoes
  • Large Spiked Crusher
  • Shrubbery
  • Look out for GameSpy's full review of Scribblenauts very soon.

Bryn says: Man, that's a lot of bizarre words to have crammed into a tiny DS game. The list (avert your eyes unless you want some spoilers) is pretty epic, and it must have taken the developer an absolute age to have thought of and implemented this stuff.

I'll be playing the game. Will you?
