Mixed team judo at the Olympics: How does it work? What are the keys to success?

Chelsie Giles will join Great Britain’s judo squad for the 2024 Paris Olympics Games after winning bronze in 2021 at Tokyo.
The 27-year-old competed in the -52kg event in Tokyo, and has since gone on to win European gold and world silver the following year.
So far this season she has collected three medals and joins a five-strong squad.
Joining Giles will be Lucy Renhsall, the four-time British champion and a European bronze medallist. She will be taking part in her second Olympics in the -63kg weight class.
There are also three squad members making their Olympic bow in the weeks ahead. Lele Nairne, a British champion (-57kg), Commonwealth bronze medal winner Jemima Yeats-Brown (-70kg) and World Championship bronze holder Emma Reid (-78kg).
"We are confident that we have a team that can compete with the best in the world," stated Nigel Donohue,  British Judo performance director.
Speaking earlier this year, Giles told the BBC: "Judo is quite big in France and the Paris Grand Slam is - other than the World Championships and Europeans - the biggest one that you want to get medal at.
"The crowds are amazing and I think that's what makes it even more exciting to go back and compete there.
"I also picked up my first medal in Paris this year, so it kind of got the excitement going. I can't wait to be out there competing again."
