Chelsea might have to consider the future of Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke after their recent transfer activity, while Christian Eriksen has decided to remain at Manchester United. Elsewhere, Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu could be set to leave the club in the January transfer window, and Flamengo missed out on Anthony Martial for one crucial reason.

Madueke and Palmer face tough future

The Express believes that the arrival of Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez could limit the involvement of Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke at Stamford Bridge.
The paper writes that the youngsters, coupled with Chelsea’s extended squad, could cause problems.
The report explains: “The wealth of attacking talent in Chelsea's squad is set to become even more abundant next summer when Enzo Maresca welcomes two full-blooded wonderkids to Stamford Bridge.
“An expensively-assembled group of established senior players are already in a tough fight for minutes out wide and in attacking midfield. That scrap will become harder still when Brazilian starlet Estevao Willian and Ecuadorian prodigy Kendry Paez join up with the Blues' squad at the end of this season.
“Estevao excels at cutting onto his favoured left foot from the right flank, which will put him in direct competition with incumbent right-winger Noni Madueke once he lands at Chelsea.
“Jadon Sancho, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Pedro Neto can also play on either flank, forcing Maresca to wrestle with a tricky balancing act even before Estevao has entered the equation.
“In a similar vein, Chelsea talisman Cole Palmer will be to Paez what Madueke is to Estevao. Paez has been a well-known figure since breaking into Independiente del Valle's senior side at the age of 15.”

Eriksen set for United stay

After an uncertain summer for many players at Old Trafford, Christian Eriksen remained despite late interest from Real Betis.
The Danish midfielder scored twice against Barnsley on Tuesday night, and he said that he does not want to leave the club.
The Mail writes: “Christian Eriksen says he never considered leaving Manchester United this summer after helping Erik ten Hag's side overcome a faltering start to the new season.
“The Denmark international had a bit-part role last term as he only made 14 starts, and United turned down an offer from Real Betis to take him on loan on transfer deadline day.
“But Eriksen returned to the starting line-up in Saturday's win at Southampton as United recovered from back-to-back defeats to Liverpool and Brighton, and then scored twice in the 7-0 mauling of Barnsley in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
“The 32-year-old former Tottenham player insists he is settled at United and would only have left if the club had wanted him to go.
“'I feel very good being at United,' said Eriksen. 'If they told me to leave I would leave, but I didn't hear that.’”

Arsenal set to lose Tomiyasu

Takehiro Tomiyasu could be set for a £25 million move to a Serie A side in the upcoming January transfer window.
The 25-year-old defender is wanted by Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus, and he is willing to consider the switch.
The Sun writes: "Arsenal could be set to lose Takehiro Tomiyasu in January, Sun Online can reveal.
"Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus are all tracking the Japanese ace, who is thought to be open-minded to the idea of a move.
"SunSport understands the Gunners are expected to demand at least £25m for the utility man, who is a favourite among supporters at the Emirates.
"But he has slipped down the pecking order and Mikel Arteta is understood to have accepted he might lose the player in the New Year.
"Inter are thought to be in the driving seat for the player and have identified him as their number-one target for January."

Flamengo fell short in Martial deal

The Mirror relays information on the failure of Brazilian outfit Flamengo to land former Manchester United striker Anthony Martial.
The Frenchman has instead joined AEK Athens in Greece, and reports from his new home suggest Flamengo could not match his wage demands.
The Mirror writes: “Anthony Martial will make £7.5million including bonuses over three years at new club AEK Athens, it has been claimed.
“French forward Martial, 28, left United when his contract expired in June. He had played more than 300 times for the Premier League club since joining in 2015, scoring 90 goals in total.
“Flamengo were also interested but were unable to meet Martial's wage demands. The same publication indicates he was after more than £3m per year from the Brazilian side, but AEK have been able to provide him with a three-year deal as he looks to revive his career.”
