WAXAHACHIE — "College is right at your fingertips." This is the message that the students at Waxahachie High School are receiving at the high school's newly opened Go-Center, a new and exciting partnership between Waxahachie High School and Navarro College.
"I want a place on campus where students can have complete and total access to college, a one stop shop kind of place." said Al Benskin, WHS principal.
The WHS Go Center will provide the WHS community an opportunity to have access college information right inside their high school. The center is staffed by members of the Navarro College Student Recruitment and Dual Credit departments and will offer such services as college awareness, college admissions assistance, financial aid and scholarship assistance and dual credit assistance while being housed inside Waxahachie High school.
"Waxahachie High School offered Navarro College a prime location on their campus to showcase Navarro College and we jumped on the opportunity. Navarro College is excited to be a part of such a great endeavor and we look forward to helping as many students as we can prepare for college." said Margaret Moreno, Director of Student Recruitment at Navarro College.
The center is located at the entrance to the registrar's office inside WHS. The center's hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00 am – 3:30 pm and on Fridays from 11:30- 3:00.
