Overview
Based on the musical, two lovers recount their experiences with another through a musical dissection. It all begins when Jamie Wellerstein, a young and gifted novelist falls in love with Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress. They each recount their love affair, with Cathy singing about her relationship with Jamie starting at the end of their marriage and backpedaling to the beginning of their love affair, and Jamie doing the reverse. They meet in the middle when Jamie proposes. This is a torrid love story, filled with ups and downs, triumphs and tribulations, happiness and despair - all expressed through song.
