Show your love and appreciation for your favorite guy by making a handmade gift that will make him look even cooler than he does now... cufflinks! Sure, you can buy a fancy gift too, but I've always felt that handmade gifts are the most thoughtful.

• Scissors

DIY: Draped Necklace Tank Top From A T-Shirt

With summer only a few weeks away, my tank tops are starting to make their way to the front of the closet. I have dozens of cotton tanks that I love to wear with a simple pear of jeans, but I decided they were in need of a little makeover. I was inspired by all the stylish and simple DIY projects I've been seeing made from t-shirts including this market tote bag, fringed scarf and these braided headbands

Since it was time to recycle a few t-shirts, I grabbed my scissors and started snipping. I love wearing draped necklaces and attempted to create a similar look for my tank. Get creative and use graphic tees or mix 'n match different colored shirts to create your own style. You probably have all of the necessary supplies at home, so follow the steps below and give your tank top a fresh look!

Materials:
• T-shirt (the larger the t-shirt, the longer your strands will be)
• Tank Top
• Sharp Scissors
• Needle & Thread

DIY: Wall Shelves From A Shoebox

  .

The days of creating dioramas from shoeboxes may be over, but there are still plenty of great DIY projects you can make by repurposing empty boxes. With a little bit of paint and paper, dress up your empty walls by turning shoeboxes into decorative shelves. Perfect for lightweight items, get creative and display some of your favorite pieces such as small vases, found objects, trinkets or frames. Use different sized boxes and a variety of colorful paper to create your own one-of-a-kind display, customized for your home. Display a single shelf or cover up an entire wall. The possibilities are endless when you DIY. Plus, you now have an excuse to buy more shoes.

Follow the steps below to make your very own.

Materials:
• Shoebox or Photo Box (pick one with thick walls. The thicker it is, the sturdier the shelf will be)
• Spray Paint (for the base color of the box. I used gold)
• Decorative Paper (for the inside wall of the box)
• Scissors
• Glue Stick
• Screwdriver and 2 Screws

DIY: Letter Gift Toppers From Sprinkles

When it comes to wrapping presents, presentation is key. I'm a fan of using simple wrapping paper and adding an embellishment to create the finishing touch, which is why I'm always on the lookout for stylish gift toppers. And what better way to say "Happy Birthday" than with lots and lots of sprinkles?! I was inspired to make these embellished gift toppers after spotting the most amazing cake I have ever seen. I immediately wanted to play with sprinkles, and I did.

Just grab a sponge, cut out your desired letter, cover it with sprinkles, and you've got a personalized monogram gift topper for that someone special. You only need a few simple materials for this DIY project, but keep in mind that sprinkles, like glitter, could be a little messy to work with. But, it's fun. Trust me.

Follow the steps below to make your very own.

Materials:
Dish Sponge
Sprinkles
Piece of Ribbon
Pair of Sharp Scissors
Hole Puncher
White Craft Glue
2 Toothpicks

DIY: No-Sew Tote Bag From A Pillowcase

I was inspired to make this DIY tote bag after I took a trip to the farmer's market and realized I needed a comfortable and lightweight bag to carry all my goodies. I love the way this DIY project turned out and, more importantly, there was no sewing involved!

A pillowcase already has all the stitching you need to create this easy and stylish tote bag. The cross-body shoulder strap also makes it super comfortable to carry around all day. Just grab a pillowcase from your dresser, stamp it, give it a couple snips and you've got a custom carry-all tote for your next trip to the market!

Follow the steps below to make your very own.

Materials:
• King Size Pillowcase (you could also use a standard size, but the bag will be smaller. I used this one which measures 41" x 21")
• Acrylic Paint and a Dish Sponge (if you wish to add a pattern to the bag)
• Long Fabric Strip (for the strap)
• Scissors
