During his tenure of over 13 years at Omantel, Sohail significantly elevated the company's global presence, achieving a tenfold increase in revenues. His efforts led to a transformative journey for Omantel Wholesale, marked by substantial investments in over 20 subsea cables, collaborations with global hyperscalers, direct interconnections with major international service providers, and extensive worldwide roaming coverage.

Under Sohail's leadership, ZOI was established as a joint venture between Zain and Omantel, aiming to revolutionize the international wholesale telecommunications sector. This partnership leverages Zain's extensive regional footprint and Omantel's exceptional wholesale capabilities and comprehensive international subsea and terrestrial networks.
