Subway Service Alerts: Brooklyn Heights and Nearby

This weekend, late night Friday, December 28 to early morning Monday, December 31, there will be no 3 train service at Clark Street or Borough Hall. 2 trains should be running normally and providing service to and from Manhattan and making all 3 stops between Borough Hall and  Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College. 4 trains should also be running normally and will make all 3 stops between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and New Lots Avenue. During the day Saturday and Sunday the only service at Court Street or at the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech will be Brooklyn bound R trains, as Manhattan bound R trains will be re-routed to the Q line between DeKalb Avenue and Canal Street. Late nights Friday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday, and Sunday to Monday the only service at these locations will be Brooklyn bound N trains, as there will be no R train service in either direction between Whitehall Street-South Ferry and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center, and Manhattan bound N trains will be re-routed to the Q line between DeKalb Avenue and Canal Street.

Late Monday night, December 30 to early Tuesday morning, December 31, R train service will be suspended in both directions between Whitehall Street-South Ferry and 59th Street Brooklyn, but N trains should be running normally. On New Year’s Eve, be aware that many entrances and exits to and from Midtown Manhattan stations may be closed. See MTA Info for details. On New Year’s Day all subway trains will run on a Sunday schedule, which means no 5 train service to or from Brooklyn. Late Thursday night, January 2 to early Friday morning, January 3 there will be no R train service in either direction at Court Street or at the N/R platforms at Jay Street-MetroTech, as R train service will be suspended between Whitehall Street-South Ferry and 59th Street Brooklyn. However, N train service should be running normally.
