A quick read, and laugh out loud funny in places. Wallace Wallace will NOT tell a lie, even a little white one to be tactful. It gets him in trouble all the time. Because he did not like "Old Shep, My Pal" and writes an unflattering book review, his teacher takes exception and places him on detention. He cannot play football, and finds himself attending rehearsals for the school play during his detention. The play is, of course, "Old Shep, My Pal" Situations arise.
