Spring 2013 Collections

I'm delighted to share with you some of my favorite Spring 2013 collections. These collections have all the elements I love about Spring fashion...from the bold colors an flattering silhouettes to the unique details and fun accessories, this Season definitely comes with much joy and sophistication. This time I decided to illustrate three of my favorite looks from those collections, hope you like them!

Quería compartir con ustedes algunas de mis colecciones favoritas para esta Primavera que se viene 2013. Estas colecciones tienen todos los elementos que me encantan de la moda para esta temporada...desde los colores vivos y siluetas clásicas hasta los detalles únicos y accesorios alegres, esta estación viene con mucha de hecho con mucha alegría y sofisticación. Esta vez decidí hacer unas ilustraciones de mis tres looks favoritos de estas colecciones, espero que les guste!

Tory Burch Spring 2013 / Ready to wear

Tory Burch's collection is definitely one of my favorites because it has all the elements I love: Ethnic details, bold colors, and beautiful accessories...not to mention the fabulous  long braids. The Tory Burch girl is definitely a world traveler, someone who appreciates details and loves to mix and match interesting textiles keeping her look cool and effortless chic. The outfit I drew above is one of my favorites because it's so easy to wear, I'd totally wear it for a Summer vacation, Sunday brunch or just to go to an artisan's market in Peru.

Una de mis colecciones favoritas de Primavera 2013 es la de Tory Burch porque tiene todos los elementos que adoro: Detalles étnicos, colores vivos y bellos accesorios... esto sin mencionar las trenzas largas y fabulosas. La chica Tory Burch es definitivamente una viajera, alguien que aprecia los detalles y le encanta mezclar telas interesantes pero manteniendo un look cool, chic pero sin mucho esfuerzo. El outfit que dibuje arriba es uno de mis favoritos porque es es super fácil de llevar, yo me lo pondría sin dudarlo para unas vacaciones de Verano, para un almuerzo informal o simplemente para ir a comprar al mercado de artesanos en Perú. 

Tracy Reese Spring 2013 / Ready to wear

Tracy Reese has been on the news recently due to the gorgeous dress she designed for the stylish First Lady Michelle Obama. Her collection was very expected and she didn't disappoint at all.  Flattering silhouettes, unexpected color combinations and sophisticated yet cool pieces were the main elements of this Spring collection full of bright colors and tribal accents. I particularly love the way she mixes loose silhouettes, like the bright colored pants, with more structured pieces like the blazers. The little dresses, which are her signature pieces, totally caught my eye due to the attention to detail and youthful vibe. On top of that, beautiful accessories! Fringe bags and shoes for the Boho girl...what else can I ask for? The outfit I drew above is one of my favorites, I love the casual yet stylish feel of it and of course the beautiful print on the shirt. 

Una de mis colecciones Tracy Reese ha estado en las noticias últimamente debido al hermoso vestido que diseño para la primera dama de Estados Unidos Michelle Obama. Su colección ha sido muy esperada por todos y no decepciono en lo mas mínimo. Siluetas favorecedoras, colores vivos combinados y piezas modernas sin dejar el lado sofisticado, fueron los principales elementos de esta colección llena de color y acentos tribales. A mi personalmente me encanta la manera como ella combina piezas sueltas y casuales como los pantalones de colores fuertes con otras piezas como blazers mas entallados y formales. Los vestidos también llamaron mi atención debido a los detalles y la onda juvenil que caracteriza esta colección. Y para completar, los accesorios super lindos como carteras y zapatos estilo fringe perfectos para la chica Boho...que mas se puede pedir? El outfit que dibuje arriba es uno de mis favoritos, me encanta la onda casual de la silueta y por supuesto el estampado bello de la camisa. 

Nanette Lepore Spring 2013 / Ready to wear

Nanette Lepore, another favorite designer of mine, has the ability to combine unique  whimsy prints with classic silhouettes to create a sophisticated-modern look. I particularly love the dresses and also the mix and match of prints on the separates. The Nanette Lepore girl is always a girl on-the-go and super stylish. This collection represents Spring Fashion in a young, joyful way and the best of all is that Nanette's clothing line is locally made which is definitely a plus for me.

Nanette Lepore, otra de mis diseñadoras favoritas, tiene la habilidad de combinar estampados únicos con siluetas clásicas para crear un look sofisticado y moderno. Me encantaron todos los vestidos, ademas de la combinación de estampados en las piezas separadas. La chica Nanette Lepore es una chica activa y que le encanta verse super fashion. Esta colección representa la moda de primavera de una manera joven, fresca y alegre y lo mejor de todo es que la ropa esta fabricada aquí mismo lo cual es un plus para mi.

This is definitely one of my favorite collections at NY Fashion Week.

I'd wear any of these outfits in a heartbeat! I love the silk blouses & dresses with

those fabulous prints paired with velvet leggings or tights.

I also adore the second look with the sequined top, simply gorgeous. I think this is what's happening on the streets and designers know that. The girl who wears this collection is confident, modern, flirty with a bohemian vibe.

I love the way Nicole Miller has interpreted the Bohemian look

adding her signature style, edgy and sophisticated.

Esta es una de mis colecciones favoritas de NY Fashion Week. Me pondría todos estas piezas sin pensarlo dos veces! Me encantan las blusas y vestidos de seda con esos estampados preciosos y con leggings de terciopelo o medias oscuras. También me encanto el segundo look con el top de lentejuelas, una belleza! Pienso que estos looks son actuales y son inspirados también en el street style, los diseñadores también ven lo que le gusta a la gente en las calles cuando elaboran una colección.

La chica que vestiría esta ropa definitivamente tiene confianza en si misma, es moderna, coqueta y con un aire bohemio. Me gusta como Nicole Miller ha sabido interpretar el look Bohemio con su toque moderno y sofisticado de siempre.

Valentino Spring Couture 2012

This Valentino's collection has a vintage flair that I love.

Pure beauty and nostalgia all in one collection...I think that the designers behind Valentino's label, Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, are doing a great job keeping Valentino's original aesthetic, beautiful details and always super feminine pieces. My favorite dresses are the first two on top.

Esta colección de Valentino tiene un toque vintage que adoro.

Belleza pura y nostalgia todo en una colección...pienso que los diseñadores detras de la linea de Valentino,

Pier Paolo Piccioli y Maria Grazia Chiuri, están haciendo un buen trabajo manteniendo la

estética de Valentino que incluyen: Detalles hermosos y el estilo super femenino en cada una de sus piezas.

Mis vestidos favoritos son los dos primeros de arriba.

Elie Saab Spring Couture 2012

Oh Elie Saab...his designs are every girl's dream.

He definitely knows how to embrace the woman's silhouette.

I adore the fabrics he uses for every collection, for me they're the definition

of ethereal & romantic.

I can totally see any of those pieces on the red carpet.

Oh Elie Saab...sus diseños son el sueno de todas creo. Definitivamente el sabe como

hacer lucir la silueta de la mujer todavía mas hermosa. Me encanta las telas que usa

en cada colección, para mi son la definición de lo etéreo y romántico.

De seguro estos trajes van a estar en la alfombra roja próximamente.

Vanessa Bruno Spring 2012

One of my favorite designers, Vanessa Bruno, showed her latest collection at Paris Fashion Week.

I adore the soft color palette and delicate fabrics she used for this collection.

Vanessa Bruno's signature is definitely the 'easy to wear' silhouettes

plus the earthy color palette, which I particularly love.

I also love the open toe boots, they look simply fabulous with mini dresses.

They totally remind me the 60's style.

Adore la paleta de colores suaves y telas delicadas que ha usado en esta colección. Algo que caracteriza a

Vanessa Bruno son las siluetas faciles de llevar y la paleta de colores tierra, la cual me encanta

También me gustan mucho las botas de punta abierta que se ven muy lindas con los mini vestidos.

Ese estilo me recuerda mucho a los 60's.

Tory Burch

This has to be my favorite Tory Burch collection. I adore the bright colors

and flattering silhouettes. I want to wear all the looks I posted below,

especially the aqua maxi dress, so pretty!

This collection is definitely smart, sophisticated, eclectic & beautiful.

Lela Rose

The soft color palette of this collection is really pretty and easy to wear.

I adore the faded floral prints! they almost look like a painting to me,

very unique indeed. The silhouettes again, very flattering & sophisticated.

Rebecca Taylor

Rebecca Taylor always designs beautiful, cool & sophisticated collections

every Season. I love the urban feel yet glamorous pieces of this collection.

I'd wear the blue maxi dress plus the little jacket in a heartbeat!

Street Style

Miroslava Duma wearing a neon outfit and looking sophisticated & fabulous.

I love the way she combined different textures. She's definitely a trend setter!
