1. Penelope Cruz in a 60 year old vintage white Pierre Balmain
I can't believe it's vintage! It looks like it was made especially for her. Penelope has this unique style every time she is in a red carpet event. She loves details and glamour. This gown is a perfect reflection of her style. It's just fabulous!! I think the tailoring is perfect. I absolutely adore the embroidered lace on the bottom of the dress; It reminds me so much the beautiful Spanish costumes. The bangs couldn't be cutter. The jewelry and accessories are perfect as well.
2. Natalie Portman in Rodarte
Gorgeous color on her!! She looks like a princess. Everything goes perfect on this look. The nude makeup, the dramatic eye shadow and the elegant hairdo, the jewelry..the gown fits perfect, again wonderful tailoring. The intricate details on the bodice are connected with the skirt; it looks almost like a cascade. Beautiful piece.
3. Taraji P. in Roberto Cavalli
This gown is one of my favs! Everything looks very put together. the beautiful necklace goes with the style of the gown, the hairdo is modern, flirty yet elegant and appropriate for the occasion. I think she couldn't choose a better color for her beautiful skin tone. The layers on the gown are so delicate and feminine. It seems like she feels very happy, sexy and comfortable. I think that's what fashion is all about and I love it!
4. Alicia Keys in Armani Prive
Again I absolutely love the color on her. This gown is so delicate, feminine, sweet yet sexy. The hairdo is very natural and perfect for her personal style and age. The color of this gown is maybe not the color we use to see on the red carpet, but I think is very refreshing to see different shades and styles. The gown fits her like a glove. Perfect tailoring! Love it.
5. Evan Rachel in Elie Saab
Simply stunning!! The pleating and weaving effect on the bodice takes this gown to another level. Sometimes is not necessary to put too many details in every single inch of the gown. This gown is just about contrasting the architectural shape of the bodice with the flowy, dreamy style of the skirt. Her hairdo might be a little older for her age, but due to the elegance and sophistication of the gown, they all go together perfectly! Simple accessories because it's all about the gown.
6. Sarah Jessica Parker in Dior Haute Couture
I think the work on the bodice of this gown is a piece of art. The embellishment is wonderful!. This gown has this fairy tale feeling which every girl loves. The only thing I don't like so much is the fit on her bust area. When I saw it on T.V. it looked very tight. The belt is perfect and again not too much jewelry which is perfect in this case because of the beautiful embellishment on the gown.
7. Amy Adams in Carolina Herrera
I think the color of this gown plays a main role on the whole look. The color looks amazing on her skin tone. Very delicate and elegant gown. Perfect for her beautiful body shape. I'm not so sure about the necklace just because it takes a lot from the gown. It's a beautiful necklace, but I'd match it with a very simple gown to make the necklace the main focus. I think is all about balance.
8. Marisa Tomei in Versace
The workmanship on this gown is amazing. I'm a fan of pleating and I think this gown is a dream, but when I saw it on T.V. I thought the bodice needed to be steamed or something. It's probably the fabric that makes the seams on the bodice look a little bit unflattering. The make up and jewelry very appropriate for the gown.
9. Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive
She looks adorable! I love this gown on her. I think it shows off her beautiful body shape. It reminds me the old Hollywood glamour in a good way. The make up and jewelry very appropriate for the gown as well as the hairdo.
I think Kate Winslet looks stunning. The asymmetrical gown shows off her toned arms as well as the belt her narrow waist. Even though is not a very fitted gown in all areas, I think it enhances her body shape. Love the make up too.
11. Freida Pinto in John Galliano
She is very beautiful!. The color was a perfect choice. The bead embroidery on the gown is wonderful and I like the asymmetrical idea, but I'm not so sure about the sleeve..it's just my personal taste on this one, but I think without the sleeve, it'd be a much younger look. Anyway, I love her complete look and the simplicity of her accessories. It's all about the gown. Love that!
