Easy Steps for Making a Small Hydrangea Centerpiece
If you need a pretty (but cheap) centerpiece for a shower, party, or wedding- this pretty arrangement is perfect for you! While the simple 1 stem hydrangea centerpiece or mason jar full of roses is cute and never disappoints- here is a way of putting those together to make hydrangea centerpieces that can really stand out on the table!
To make this small hydrangea centerpiece you need: 1 large white hydrangea, 3 roses, 3 carnations, 4 spray roses, 1 small-medium sized vase, floral scissors. That’s only 11 stems! AND it only costs about $20! You could make 4 of these with 4 hydrangea and one bunch of each flower for under $100. Now that is a steal.
Watch the quick video tutorial below to see our technique and how easy this centerpiece really is!

Hi!
I love this tutorial. What size bubble vase are you using?
Thanks, Chloe! This bubble vase has a 3.5″ diameter opening and it is 5″ tall.
I love this arrangement and it looks so easy. I have to make arrangements for a church banquet-low budget. Do you think this would look good on a 60 inch round table that seats 8 people. How about in the center of a 8 foot rectangular table that seats 4 on each side.
Hi Kathy! Thank you for the kind words! Yes, this arrangement would look great for any sized table. You might want to a find a vase that has a 6″-12″ opening depending upon how large of a table you are arranging for. Both would work out great for the 60 inch round table, and the 8 foot long rectangular table!
Hi, I really like this. I am looking to do a simple flower arrangement for a corporate event. My linens are ivory and the room decor has a lot of mahogony in it. I was hoping to do a combination of mostly white with some green accents. Could you offer a suggestion or two that would still use the large white hydrangea as you’ve done here but also incorporate either more white and/or green? Thanks!
Hi Dawn! Thank you for the kind words! As far as adding more white or green, you can add some green carnations or perhaps white carnations instead of the pink. You can also include some greenery which would add a nice hint of green. Perhaps a sprig of eucalyptus or Italian Ruscus! I hope this helps!!
This is lovely. What size bowl is this (opening and height)? Thank you!
Hi Ilana, The vase size is a 5×5 square glass vase.
