All that matters in the final analysis is not what the world thinks, but the knowledge that those closest to me will always be around to support and speak up for me.
It became all worth it when the loving father stood up for the daughter he will always love the most...thanks for shielding me Daddy my hero, I love you more than anything!
I can be stronger than what they say because of the strength your love has given me.
That's family. The one I will never exchange for the world.

Woohoo...a day of wedding is finally over! What a day of banter and chatter and all! Everyone's so physically tired and speaking incoherently now...haha! It was certainly a day of excitment and buzz though indeed!
Some of the pics that my trusty digicam managed to capture:

Jiejie and my new bro-in-law (key word: 'official'! haha!)!
For the evening, we rushed to get our hair done last min @ Kimage. Almost fainted from how ex it is! $60 JUST to style my hair! But no choice coz we were already there and time was not on our side...
But I think this hairstyle makes Mummy has a certain air of ancient beauty, aka gu2 dian3 mei3. =) And these cupcakes were baked by Jie's jiemeis! One baked the cupcakes, the other did the car decor, the other sewed clothes for the teddies sitting in the car...hats off to a entourage of ladies perfect to be the ideal homemakers!

And...check out mine! My aunty has this to say: 'If you behave gently, people will associate the look with Avatar. But if you behave erm...quite the opposite, then the look can be associated with...Predator!' Gosh...

Mummy looks very good here!

Haha not bad, after removing the plaits this is what I get!
IT-IS-OVEEEERRRRR! *the bed beckons*

The essence of real gold is best revealed in a fiery furnace: that it contains no mixture, no impurities whatsoever.

I shall not lose the blogging business! It's getting busier and busier...and Jie's wedding is coming up tomorrow! It's gonna be a busy weekend, and how poignant to see my OWN real-life sister getting married...it's a dry run for mine too! =p Oops...
Had my Guo Da Li some time back & haha it sure was fun! Check out some of the interesting pics, courtesy of my most-trusted matchmaker cum photographer cum BFF cum etc...
He must have been laughing at what our matchmaker was saying...muhahaha....
Love this pic of Daddy! Love that smile! =))

The full loot. Our photographer seemingly loves the 'xi' word very much. She took pictures of all the 'xi' available...=p

This was not photoshopped! Phoebe and her photographer skill ought to really be applauded.
1 more month!

For day and night will not cease.Life is a package of seasonal variation. Enjoy the light of day, but when night comes, allow Daddy God to do His work. When night comes, it's time to rest and sleep.
Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due
season you shall reap if you do not lose heart.
Key to living successfully: trust where the Compass points.

I CAN'T wait to go to
New Zealand!!! Haha, guess what I just did? I went to google the following: "skydiving in New Zealand scary?". This is going to be a
honeymoon of heart-stopping moments indeed! How about 360deg turns at 'disorientating speeds' on a jetboat? Or black water rafting through a staglamite cave with giant grasshoppers, giant spiders, 2metre-long eels and nary a source of light except for the glow coming from erm...glow worms on the roof of the caves? And add on the one I may consider the ultimatum, skydiving. All these in winter temperatures! Lalalala!
Check this out as how skydiving was described on the web:
"It takes a certain kind of person to step out of an aircraft at 15,000 feet into thin air. It takes courage. The fact you are harnessed by space age materials to an experienced qualified Jumpmaster makes little difference. You step out that aircraft door and for some 60 seconds you plummet towards the ground at 200 kph. Terminal Velocity. The fact that your Jumpmaster will deploy the reinforced tandem canopy for you makes little difference. Nor the fact that it has been packed by a qualified parachute packer, nor the fact that you are equipped with a reserve chute, with a cybernetic activation system make any difference.
The first skydive is a scary thing. You can expect sensory overload as your mind/soul/body fight against every natural self preservatory urge.
The impact on your life that the act you are now contemplating will have cannot be overstated. The personal challenge is immense. Immense, because the only thing preventing you from enjoying this, one of the most primal life shaping experiences, is your own mind. You must choose. To go through life able to say 'yes, I did it', or to go through life knowing that you had the opportunity, but you turned it down and walked away from becoming the complete person you could have been."

*Woah hahaha...the description truly sounds like a sermon...*
I CAN"T WAIT!!!

It has been too long that we've been rebranding the bible that we're reading. Think about it: how many times have you, in times of trial, kept reciting a verse or 'slogan' from the WOG to yourself till it 'psychos' you into positivity? Or gone straight to the dictionary via Google to define certain terms in the WOG, instead of to God Himself to clarify the logos with rhema? Too conveniently, we have taken words from the bible at surface level and diluted God's Word with our own perspectives. It's time that we need to read the bible with Jesus-tinted glasses: What Jesus' definition with every term that was written?
Jesus-defined, not dictionary-defined.God's been speaking to me alot the past few days about growth. By this, I mean personal growth as a living creature. Alot of times when we go through certain challenges, we want out at the soonest possible time. And that's perfectly normal. Yet, think about it. Compare those times when you really was delivered from your circumstances versus those times where you were stuck in there for seemingly eons...was there a difference? Definitely, it must have felt good to be delivered and relieved of all the pain instantaneously, yet, did you take any lesson out of it? Was there a lesson deposited in your life, a mistake made that you know you'll never repeat?
Sometimes, the school of hard knocks works. Bitter medicine can really work better. As much as I hate the circumstances that seem to have taken an extended holiday in my life sometimes, I know these are the things that will teach me well. Staying in the valley and experiencing life there have taught me patience, and have helped me grow to have a bigger perspective on life.
As a leader, I need to remind myself that my role is not to be the mother hen that guards the chicks from the eagle and to shelter them from all storms. My role should be akin to that of a guardian angel, showing the way, yet giving the sheep free liberty to experience falling, then aiding them in getting back on track again.
It's another stage of life: we've all grown up, and it's time to experience and learn life's lessons on our own, and allow revelations to come our way through our personal study of God's Word. So c'mon, let's allow life's experiences to share some lessons with us. And let's be bold and courageous to be a student today.
Are you ready to walk through and experience for yourself?

You are way stronger than you think you really are. When you centre your thoughts on Christ, despite how circumstances try to pull your focus away.
It's so easy to go down that road, but it takes a warrior to fight on and not be distracted by the ocassional cuts, wounds and bruises that come along. The battle needs you. To win.
And it's going to require EVERY part of you to press on.
