lovin the finished projects

Ordered this stencil from here and Jordan and

I both LOVE the outcome.

Couple weeks ago we had some wonderful help from Jordan's mom, Susan. She came and didn't stop the entire time she was here. We used literally every last second working on projects. We stayed up until 3 am the night before she left finishing everything. While she was here we tackled painting the entire living room area which included all the trim that Jordan put up around the windows, (He did an awesome job) stenciling the entry hallway, making three roman shades and the drapes for the sliding glass door and we also started the drapes for the other windows. It was such a fabulous week filled with lots of hard work and also lots of good food. We still have projects ahead but are happy thus far with it all.

Before and After Kitchen

These are pictures of the kitchen when we first moved in. Linoleum floor, outdated appliances, and plain maple cabinets etc.

This is our mostly refinished kitchen. We have a few things left to complete such as paint, curtains and a few decorations. We removed the sub floor, painted the cabinets, new counter top, cabinet hardware, hardwood floor, lowered the bar, new appliances, trim around the window, glass back splash. We LOVE it!

This was a built in china cabinet that we refinished with new hardware but still missing a handle that needs to be added. We love the color and the hardware.

Our first broken bone!

Our first broken bone. Jet and Jordan were rough housing on the bed on Wednesday afternoon. We were just about to head to the pool and Jet starts crying.... usually he's our little tough guy but this time he wouldn't stop crying so we knew something was up. We headed down to the Urgent Care and got it x-rayed and he broke his wrist. He was so good at both Dr.'s. Infact the lady that cast his arm said he was the best 4 yr old she's ever done. He hasn't been in much pain, which is good, nothing alittle tylenol can't take care of. Now we'll just have to personalize his cast!

Birthday Boy

a

Jet's birthday was on Tuesday and we had such a great day. Our little man turned 4yrs old. Wow, how time flies. First he woke to breakfast and a birthday gift, which was a transformer that he played with all day. Then we had his B-day party. He invited his two best buds and we took them to Jump Street. They all had a blast bouncing around on the tramps and bouncy slides. Then home for cupcakes, ice cream and presents. He got one more transformer, a fishing pole, money from nan and alittle horse flashlight from gamma ZoBell. What a day!!

ice cream cones, YUM.

The boys enjoyed ice cream cones the other night in the back yard. Finn had it dripping down his arm onto his little belly. Never fail Finn is done with his in about 3 seconds and then trying to eat Jet's. Jet takes his time eating and enjoying every last bite. I thought these were some good pics of the kids, especially Jet's silly faces.

Finn's 2nd Birthday!

We celebrated Finn's 2nd Birthday yesterday and he had such a great day! We started his day off with "Birthday boy, Birthday boy, here comes the Birthday boy". Then opening presents, which he loved. He did get his "Car's" car that he has been wanting for weeks now. He's talked about it for days and had many melt downs in stores over it. He played with his presents all day and then yesterday afternoon it was off to go see Car's the movie (I was a little disappointed in it) and then home to have Car's cake. We love our little Finn!
