Christmas Pictures

I saw this. Boolie had Joseph taking care of Jesus.

Us on Christmas after church.

This is us looking in our stockings.

Boolie got skates for Christmas. She had fun going around the house in them.

Dot got a bike. She was so excited and insisting on wearing her helmet.

Gingerbread Houses

This year, we did gingerbread houses. By the end of the season, Boolie had made a total of three houses, Dot one and I made one myself. Here are photos from the fun times:

My gingerbread house. It was the only one made out of gingerbread.

Boolie made this one at school.

Dot loved making her house. Can you tell?

Bad case

In church one day, the kids were given dot stickers for singing well and were told they were measles. Boolie thought they said beetles. We tried to correct, but she is still not there.

So, Boolie found dot stickers at home, and she and Dot put them all over and had a bad case of the Meatles.

Running

On November 12, I went and did a run. The actual distance is not known, as every time they measure it, they get a different number, but the distance is supposed to be between 15 and 16 miles. It was so rough. But I made it! Here are pictures from the day:

Before the race. I could smile then.

It was a very scenic run.

Me, finishing the race!

My stuff. I am more proud of the survivor medal than the 3rd place prize.

Halloween

Every year for Halloween, I make the girls' costumes. It has kind of become a tradition for me. So this year, I yet again made the costumes. The girls had fun at our church Trunk-or-treat and doing various things around town. They also had a blast doing pumpkins.

Boolie turns 6

Time seems to fly. And children seem t grow up a lot faster than I did. It is hard to keep up with. I feel like I just got used to calling Boolie my five-year old. Now I have to get used to calling her my six year. By the time I am used to that, she will be ten.
Boolie had a birthday and it was a good day. She is turning into quite the young lady.

I made these rice crispy treats to take to Boolie's class.

Boolie's big present was the big. She loves her big bike.

Boolie insisted we have these blowers for her birthday.

Boolie wanted a "Tiana" cake for her birthday. This is what I came up with.

Apple Picking

When we lived back east, one of the things I enjoyed was going to a farm and getting apples. There are not as many places where we live as there were where we lived back east, butwe found one that was not too far away. So for Columbus Day, we went apple picking.

The girls loved the place we found, since they had pumpkins.

It was fun watching Boolie try to find the best apples.

Dot just grabbed whatever apples she could. She loved it!

As much as they loved picking apples, they really loved the pumpkins.

To end our day, we went to a local park and let the girls play. They loved the racing slides.
