Christmas Isn’t Christmas 'till it happens in your heart

Christmas Isn’t Christmas
'till it happens in your heart,
Somewhere deep inside you
Is where Christmas really starts;

So give your heart to Jesus,
you'll discover when you do
That it’s Christmas
Really Christmas for you.

Jesus brings warmth like a winter fire,
A light like a candle's glow;
He's waiting now to come inside
As He did so long ago.

Jesus brings gifts of truth and life
And makes them bloom and grow.
So welcome Him with a song of joy
And when He comes you'll know ..... that ...

Christmas Isn’t Christmas
'till it happens in your heart,
Somewhere deep inside you
Is where Christmas really starts;

So give your heart to Jesus,
you'll discover when you do
That it’s Christmas
Really Christmas for you.

my food for thought...

“They will be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them”
- Jeremiah 32:38, 39

from an article i saw today...

singleness of heart and action

"I often look back on my university days with fond memories. Although the workload was heavy, I didn’t mind final exams. No more classes or assignments, no expectations placed on me but one alone – to study. I reveled in the singular focus.

As a mom, I sometimes wish for simpler days when I had one thing to do. The multiple duties of motherhood constantly fragment my attention. There is the need to teach, to discipline and encourage my children; to organize schedules, to drive and volunteer; to cook and clean; to study, to write and lead. In the midst of the urgent, it is easy to lose sight of what is important.

It isn’t just my problem. We all get distracted; we all forget what matters most."

23rd psalm for the workplace

The Lord is my real boss, and I shall not want.

He gives me peace, when chaos is all around me.

He gently reminders me to pray and do all things without murmuring and complaining.

He reminds me that he is my source and not my job.

He restores my sanity every day and guides my decisions that I might honor him in all that I do.

Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mail, system crashes, unrealistic deadlines, budget cutbacks, gossiping co-workers, discriminating supervisors, and an aging body that doesn't cooperate every morning, I still will not stop -- for He is with me!

His presence, His peace, and His power will see me through.

He claims me as His own, even the company threatens to let me go.

His faithfulness and love is better than any bonus check.

His retirement plan beats every 401K there is!

When it's all said and done, I'll be working for Him a whole lot longer and for that

I BLESS HIS NAME!

Lord, help me to remember Your goodness and Your plans, especially at those moments when I wish working is easier and more fun.

i will boast

let not the wise man boast in his wisdom
or let the strong man boast in his strength
let not the rich man boast in his riches
but let the hum-ble come and give thanks
to the One who made us, the One who saved us

i will boast in the Lord my God
i will boast in the One who's worthy
i will boast in the Lord my God
i will boast in the One who's worthy, He's worthy

i will make my boast in Christ alone
i will make my boast in Christ alone
_______

a nice song i came along today!

the love of my life

a glimpse of Your glory, Lord
is enough to change this weary life

a touch of Your healing hands
is enough to bring back life again

glory, glory
hallelujah to Jesus

a timely reminder:
the greatest commandment is to love God, not serve God
serving flows out of loving

interesting verse

"This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you're not on my side, you're the enemy; if you're not helping, you're making things worse."

- Matthew 12:30 (The Message)
Whose side are you on?
