I-Challenge

Introduction
Woke up 5.30 AM in the morning with the help of my mother. It's becoming a habit for me to shut off my alarm and go back to bed already. Darn it. Left for college at 6.30 AM, picking up Ivan and Kher Jie on the way. Reached there and were the first few student helpers to arrived. Of course the organisers were way earlier than us. One of them wanted to pump the Serena with petrol before leaving for Nilai and asked us to accompany her for safety purposes. Seven student helpers including my friends and I left for Nilai in the Serena before the two buses did. The other student helpers were destined to sit in the bus! Along with the contestants. Ha ha. Sorry Yi Haur!

Here We Are
The Serena reached the venue half an hour later with only a few of the contestants present at that time. With no time to lose, we headed straight for the swimming pool, carrying some items on the way. Bread, water, golf balls and others. We set up the "Wet Hunt" station before the rest of the student helpers arrived. The hand phone rang and bad news came in. Two buses have been hit with bad events. One of them got lost and the other had a tyre punctured. Guess what? the game was postponed for almost an hour because of this. Well, guess who sat in the bus that got a punctured tyre? No one other than Yi Haur! Woot! Such an unlucky day for him.

Let The Games Begin!
After the briefing by the organisers, the I-Challenge was officially launched. A total of 300 teams, with each school sending a maximum of 3 teams were divided into teams of four. Team white, yellow, red and green. Each team would then go to different stations to accomplish the task given. The task at my station? Each them has three participants, one would be throwing golf balls into a designated area, the other one would then swim/wade to the area, collecting the ball if it was on target. The last participant would then receive the ball from his/her teammate and make way to another stop, collect a letter and try and solve the mystery word. If the golf ball was not on target, participant one would be penalised by consuming a piece of bread and some water. A chance to draw another letter is then lost. The games kicked off only at 10.00 AM + and it ended around 2.00 PM. We were burning under the sun! However, Kher Jie brought sun block. Goodbye to sun burns!

Getting to Know People
B
esides being strict and watching the participants having a hard time consuming the bread and water, I talked to the contestants, getting to know them a ltitle better. At least to know which school are they from. Met people from schools nearby my home and even from Klang. Had to use the little knowledge of chinese I have to have a conversation with them. Shook hands with a few of them too.

Lunch Time
Everyone was given lunch after everything. We student helpers arrived there the latest as we had to clear up the area before proceeding to the canteen.

Dance Workshop
Done with lunch, everyone assembled at the Multi Purpose Hall for a dance workshop conducted by one of INTI Nilai's student. Style of dance? Hip hop I think. Ah well, the only thing I remembered was the finger movements. The person on stage later took the limelight with his dance moves. Alright, many participants went up on stage to join in the fun. They did some break dance moves and also shuffling. Break dancing was the crowd's favourite. Ha ha!

Crowd Photo
Photographers were invited up the stage to take a shot of the crowd. No wide lens. Sorry.

The Final Eight
It was the moment every team awaited for. Which team will be among the eight chosen for the finals? One of them was from my former school, SMK USJ 12. However, they did not achieve the top three scores. Congratulations to them anyway.
