Oh, hi there.

Went terribly sick today, thanks to that downpour.

It wasn't that serious this morning when I woke up with sorethroat and slight block nose. Then that heavy rain started right after my e-mktg test and when I reach my neighbourhood, someone was having a funeral at the multi-purpose court which serves as a sheltered link to my block. I had to walk in the rain across (with my bag on top of me) 203 to my block.

After I reach home, I started to feel very drowsy. Not even the internet can keep me up. Napped most of the time in the afternoon with minimal revision for tmr. By the time my mother reach home, I was having a high fever of 39 degrees.

That makes me the third one in the family to be (really) sick. My dad has been sick for a week and still coughing like mad, and my bro's voice remain sexy. My mother say must be the rain that make my condition worse.

Cant go to sentosa with the girls on Sat le. =( Or mahjong at ant's tmr (unconfirmed).

What a nice way to spend my start of holidays lah. =.=

Watched Madagascar with Anne and Joanne at Causeway yesterday.

I said it a few times alr but I'll still say it again. Ant made me wait in front of BreadTalk for 40 mins when she lives only one station away.

The show was funny. Liked the part when Alex the lion got reunited with his family. =D

Had to miss econs lecture since its too late to get back by the time the show ends. Most likely he'll say (cheekily), "It's ok, we are ending soon" but this time I think a lot of fire will be in it. Last day mah, sure a lot people pon.

So shopped around and Joanne mama bought quite a lot some things. In fact, all of us got something... =DD

There was something flying in my room just now, but I just let it fly...

Then without warning, it shooooot up at my face like a helicopter, took advantage of me, before zooming off.

The angel just now was history... Now the devil strikes back! And I was chasing the molestor all around my room with my pillow. Then, the stupid beetle land on my curtains so I promptly took out a rough paper and =x it, before burying its remains in my dustbin.

Went out with the girls to Ikea to have lunch during 3-hour break. Met my secondary school Chinese teacher Mao lao shi there! She still remember me after all these years. :DDD I suppose I was a good student eh. lols.

Today

Pon GEMS for the first time after WEC lesson cos really din feel like going... All the teacher do is talk and ... =x Went to Joaquim's house with the girls to bake cookies! Very crispy indeed. Scared of Joa's very hyper dog though... =\ Even BOLD ant! Haha. Got back just in time for econs lecture but it only lasted for 30 mins cos other lecturer coming in to promote concentration for the third year... zz.

If only the conc din involve boring selling of items at the SB foyer, I might have go for it. And I doubt I am the entrepreneurial sort who will come out with big business plans and work with external companies. Guess I will just stick with my option.

Next week's kinda hectic... Got to evaluate Amazon's website for EM and 4 more websites for WEC. All evaluating, SIANNS.

Especially with Pet Society. Joaquim and me managed to get Anne. Then Val was 0.0 at us for playing such a -.- game but later she started playing herself too. The process repeats for steady Joanne. And I suspect Val must have spreaded the virus to Joan.

I am. Absolutely pissed off by the CBS website.

Why, do they keep having the extra videos put up but seems to have 'expired' within one day after the show (Amazing Race) has aired.

Experience from the site tells me that this could be a way of blocking users from outside North America from viewing them. Otherwise, why continue to put them up when they frustrate all the users who view them?

And I don't see users from their forum complaining about not being able to see the vids.
So unfair. Dammit.

Today went out with mom to a couple o' places.

First, we paid a visit at Ronald's. Found out that he is going to shift house in a couple of days' time. So sad, cos I practically see him living at the current place for as long as I can remember... :( And had breakfast lunch brunch there.

Den took bus to Ikea. After a couple of stops this siao uncle suddenly keep singing hokkien songs at the top of his voice. Not sure who is it but din bother to turn back and see. Keep getting louder. And he starts and stops suddenly de, like someone pressing the play and stop button. Like to sing so much go compete in the Huang jin nian hua, dou ge jin yi or what lah. Come here disturb people.

He only stop when another uncle oi him cos he is on the phone.

Ikea renovating again, so different when I last visited it with lx. Mum was surprised by the cheap plates and mugs, but we din need them lol. Bought some carpets and pillows. And she got her cheap cheap chopping board that comes with a baby (smaller one, lol).

She says if she decided to have flowers on her new tv console in her room (just ordered ystd), I shall go get her a nice cheap pot from there. -.-

Like she will (have flowers). I told her I bet she wont cos of the dust accumulating... But she said she wanted REAL flowers. Even more impossible lah... Everything she thinks/does is 3 mins re du de... Know her too well. zzz.

Made sushi for dinner today.

The taste was great (even my very picky and fussy dad says so) and the cocktail sausages are fantastic, but the only minus point is the cheapo seaweed my mother bought ($1.50/pack -.-).

SO HARD TO CHEW. :(

So here it is.

Multiple iexplore.exe symptoms back again. This time managed to get more info what might be going on. Definitely a malware, a trojan horse probably. But I think different people may got it differently so the solutions also differ, from what I see. Tried to register a couple of tech forums to seek for help but the sickening activation email(s) won't come.

My IE7 in my laptop is driving me crazy... It was ok at first but lately it is being extremely annoying. Shuts down (with error messages) frequently (think its because of facebook =x), slow/lag, and sometimes may need to open extra window in order for it to work (just like ant's).

The worst thing is I can't just uninstall it like last time, not after I upgraded it before updating my computer with Win XP SP3, which prevents it. (According to google, if I do the other way round then it won't matter... -.- But too late le.)

Bought router too! Get it quite cheap @ Harvey Norman. Qad and the salesperson made it sound like really hard to set up and configure... But I got it done in like, 3 hours? (Qad told me her cousin-in-law with IT background took one week...) =x

Finding how to lock my network is what took me rrrrreally long... Looking up in the help topics make it worse. What need to check whether your devide is WEP or WPA for encryption, this and that, all techy stuffs I dunno. In the end... I (anyhow) found out that all these rubbish can be done by clicking a few buttons in the internet. All in less than 1 minute.

Spending the day doing massive updates for my laptop.
Long and laggy process. zz.

Not to mention the network tracking software I installed yesterday went crazy [from reccomendation from installing my new router]. Keeps shutting itself down. Otherwise, I think it's a fabulous software. Lets you send files between computers wirelessly and keep track who is in your network.

Worst scenario: unistall everything and don't use it.

And dunno why this laptop of mine has damn lots of hardware problems (maybe others happen not to be aware that they have them too). I just realise it hasn't been able to do windows update since 27 June. Some BITS thingy not working. And I have no idea what to do (the best -worst to me- solution is to reinstall windows again -.-).

But all of the sudden, it's working again after I upgraded to IE7. And hey, it has got 25 new updates for me!

ARGHHHH.

My dear mother, thinking that I am not using the modem (which is connected to the router) in the computer room, switched it off when I am in the midst of downloading something in my own bedroom. And I can't get back to the internet even after switching it back. This is one irksome problem our my irritating modem. Got to restart the computer to do the trick.

Went to Comex IT show today with Li Xuan. Actually she was using me to help her check out which desktops are good. But my knowledge of a good desktop is as good as hers (and many others too) loh... Only know how to see processor, speed, RAM, storage etc. Number BIG BIG jiu hao. Video or graphic cards not too sure about them. =x

Bought my new external hard disk! Was the same one as LX bought at the last IT show, from Western Digital. Was torn between maxtor (slightly cheaper) and WD, but bought the latter instead cos of the vibrant colours. =x

But when I open it for the first time, got a lot files and folders inside (according to LX is like that). Damn annoying sight leh. My other one is clean de loh, nothing inside. Dunno can dump them into one folder a not...

Got a case too. Was suppose to be given free for those who purchase 320GB de. Dunno why the sales person gimme also. lol. Just take loh.

Yesterday watched the Super Matron show from Ch8, which offer help to damn untidy families to clean up their house. My mom always complain my room so messy not like a girl's room. But the show showed me (I hoped she saw too) otherwise. lols.

Yesterday, the "Bird Nest" was hit by the same lightning bolt for the second time. There is something special about this particular Bolt, though. It is yellowish-green.

August, 16 .
The last time he made his appearance, this yellow-green hit the stadium's 100m track. The rest who follows had no other options except wishing to be nearer to him by a bit...
But no, the only leeway he left was to slow down at the finishing line.
World record of 9 seconds 69. This is the only mark the lightning Bolt left at the stadium after he striked.

August, 20 .
The same yellow-green Bolt strikes the Bird Nest again. This time, at the 200m track.
He is finally satisfied. This time, he made everyone to remember only his world record of 19 seconds 30.
