In the Business Times today, there was an article about these Singaporean entrepreneurs who invented a smart lock which addresses the problem of issuing your house keys to airbnb stayers.

In Singapore, airbnb is illegal as the regulation states that home/room lease periods have to be a minimum of 6 months. This is probably to do with taxation and traceability issues.

The article clearly stated and emphasised the entrepreneurs renting their rooms through airbnb and that their product stemmed from their need to have such locks. They use part of their house at Robin Close as their office, and rent out the rest of the rooms through airbnb.

The article, which included a photo of 2 cheery guys, took up a quarter of the page.

We hope not to see tomorrow's headlines that read "airbnb owners' homes confiscated", accompanied with a photo of 2 unsmiling guys. 

It's been some tough days at work lately. The stress is creeping up on me. I had headache at work a few days in a row. I felt so terrible yesterday - heavy head, low concentration level, started to see stars, felt a bit nauseated. Plain groggy and terribly in need of a break.

Considering to take some leave this week, but I'll first need to look for a place where i can have some quiet and undisturbed rest.

The tam jiaks found a great opportunity for good food and some fun - dinner to celebrate 2 girls' birthdays!

The place was awesome - cosy, authentic, great food, fun customers. In my opinion, it couldn't have been any better. Of course the crazy group made it all the more fun! Karaoke after the dinner as round 2 was the right choice although it was at the expense of those hours of sleep...
