After 6 days of fever and ?s, finally i get a non-fever day! Got a blood test at NUH yesterday and oh well, it's just some stupid virus having fun in my stomach. But it's so irritating to be at home. Didn't sleep well last night; no one sleeps well if there're constantly people intruding your privacy and disturbing u the entire night. My day wasn't spared too. Might consider going out to study tomorrow.

1 and a half potatoes for lunch isn't too appetizing but i guess it's good for dieting purposes on top of getting rid of diarrhoea.

Olympics is over. Didn't manage to catch the closing ceremony early this morning but i hope there'll be a repeat broadcast. Really enjoy watching the Olympics. It's so amazing how people can push themselves to the limits and perform so wonderfully. Was watching some artistic gymnastics just now. The moves are all so beautiful and swift. Deadly accurate.

Better get back to studying. Not much done today. Gotta buck up lots more...

Still had a 38. something deg fever this morning and oh well, wasted 25 bucks to revisit the doc who merely changed my medication and said it's nothing serious. Think i'm feeling better now. But can't really get myself to sit down and concentrate on the studies. Got that dull feeling hung over me. Very much itching to know my CA results though. Wonder when the results will be out.

Feel like going out. Wasted almost my entire week lying in bed. Need more fresh air. Since Wednesday i've been wondering if i'll be able to ride on Sunday. Guess i've got the answer now. Even if the fever's gone, the pile of revision work is still on the table. Lots and lots to catch up. Feeling all alone and sad right now. Can't get anything done.

This is the worst time to get sick sick and sick. SICK!!!!! Fever... If it's the time to break records in the Olympics, then it's quite the time to break my own record for highest temperature ever achieved. Having fever for 3 days in a row during your study break is no joke. I need to study!!!! Anyway the record temperature was like 39.8 deg C. Got a jab for it yesterday and ouch, the site of the jab still hurts a little. Feeling better today and i should be able to get down to work this afternoon.

My computer's dying on me. So many stupid programs installed from goodness-knows-where slowed the entire system. Might consider getting a new PC but the present one seems to be working now...

Baby Funny Guy died. Been acting a little weird since yesterday... Guess it's the water...

BoiBoi did a haircut for me on Sat and after seeing my friends' responses today, i guess it's a like-it-or-hate-it kinda hairstyle. It's good with me!

Been wanting to get a new hp but can't bear to spend the few hundred bucks for one. Can't bring myself to buy such an expensive item. Think a monophonic phone when my plan ends should do. At least the older phones seem more lasting.

Ah ha! Finally this thingy is working again. Just now i couldn't type anything in.

Went riding today... weather was HOT. Must lose weight. Last night i was like so damn upset about gaining one kilo. Determined to lose it, or even better if more. But pretty much dehydrated coz i was, as usual, carrying only a 500ml bottle.

PLAYING BADMINTON TOMORROW!!!! Muhahahaa... i'm gonna make sure my weight-loss program is successful. Hate to be the heaviest among people around me. Although it's a healthy, average, fit kind of heavy, i hate it. Hahaha... and how am i supposed to respond when the super-underweightees say that they gotta lose weight? What's this whole weight thingy about anyway?! Why can't we all be fat and happy? Try convincing myself first...

Imagine a waistline of... 24"? (If i can ever attain that, i still want my short + fat legs for cycling. i need my old arms too.) Oops... not too proportionate but anyway, who cares.

But i love to see my fishes well-fed and fat. ARGHHHH!!!!!! My funny guy just laid an egg (FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I SAW THE EGG!!!) and gourami conveniently came over and snapped it up before i could respond. =( The egg's pretty big! Much bigger than i thought. Around 1mm in diameter. Will keep a more alert lookout for more.

Got back the latest Macroecons test results. SUCKED BIG TIME! Pulled my overall CA results down by at least 2 grades. Demoralized. Not at all motivated to catch up with all the work anymore. It's the worst results i've gotten for this entire course. I HATE IT!!!! HATE MYSELF!!!!!! DUMBASS!!!!!!!!!

Got a presentation tomorrow. Should turn out fine...

Found the white angelfish looking at some white stuff that was on the filter pipe. Realized that the white stuffs are actually eggs! But since i took the other angelfish out yesterday to give BoiBoi, i don't think the eggs are fertilized. Anyway i harvested around 37 of them and put them into the hatchery. No harm seeing if they can hatch.

Watched Cat Woman just now. Find the storyline quite bad. Watch only if u've got nothing else to watch.

Gotta get a new watch soon. Mine's collecting vapour inside everyday. Maybe i should just take out my other Swatch to use. But it's an Olympic series one and argh, it looks a little small to me. Used to the big Swatch irony on my wrist.

Screwed up my econs test today. FUCK!!!!! I STUDIED FOR IT!!!!!!! Just blanked out right before the test started... Didn't read the questions properly, had no idea what to write. There goes the A for this module... I'd better pass this test at least. So far in this entire course, this is the first time i did a test staring at the question paper and having no idea what to write. ARGH!!!

My maid's sister-in-law who's in Hong Kong called my mum this morning. Told her that Siti was involved in a vehicle accident on the way to the airport and the driver of the vehicle Siti was in was killed. Hopefully she's okay. We'll only have a peace of mind when she calls back. Everyone has no idea about what happened. My parents and i were just so shocked. Worried too. The feeling of being kept in suspense is no fun. My dad was suggesting that my mum and i can pop over to Surabaya to visit her if we know where she is at the moment.

Everything bad seems to be happening at the same time.

Let's just hope all these blow over soon.

(Think they jumped out a few days ago. Was talking on the phone in the dark when i thought i heard some fish jump out. Switched on the light and briefly surveyed the place. Everything looked fine. That was the day.)

Watched a little of Singapore Idol just now. The Shanghai fella should have been chosen maan... What are the judges thinking? I suspect they signed a contract promising to give the locals a chance. Sure enough his singing is more opera than pop but hey, this is an Idol selection program and who says idols must sing lame pop? And come on, pop's popular music and opera style can be popular too. Andrea Bocelli? Charlotte Church? Okay... La Mer... Anyway whatever happens on the show's purely just for entertainment. Singapore Idol's more of a comedy than anything else.

Went to Weiling's surprise birthday party yesterday. And the most hilarious thing happened... only a few hours before the party. Around a week ago Jishun sms-ed me to go for the party and to keep it from Weiling (coz it's a surprise, remember?) I got BoiBoi along and stressed to him that "Don't tell Weiling about it hor!" and he brushed it off, casually saying that he barely knows her, let alone meet or msg her. And yesterday, BoiBoi and i went riding with the rest and ended up eating at the prata shop opposite Beauty World. Slacked after makan. Weiling and Jishun (+ a couple of i-dunno-whos) walked past our table! Of course both parties were darn surprised to meet each other... we said hi and then BoiBoi went "Hey see u at the party later!" *help* I swore i saw Jishun's *help me* face. And Weiling looked totally shocked. (which of course meant that Jishun really kept the whole thing under wraps.) They left in a rush anyway.

After telling the rest (riders) what happened, we were laughing like mad maaan! Hahahahaa... BoiBoi was feeling rather bad but oh well, what's done's done. It's helluva episode! But BoiBoi made it up by calling J to apologize. Also got him some Merci chocs (to beg for mercy). Anyway the BBQ went good! The food wasn't fantastic but the cake was pretty shiok... ice cream cake from Swensen's.

Back to today...

My mum and i went to the airport to pick my maid up. We were a little delayed coz of lunch. Reached there and saw that the belt wasn't moving. Thought they hadn't come out of the immigration so we sat around and waited. And later on we somehow realized that hey, everyone from the flight from Surabaya was out already! *shit* Went to the customer service counter and row counter and tried calling the airlines to find out if Siti was on the flight. According to the airlines, there wasn't such a person on that flight. First it was panic. Then blurness. Still wondered if we missed her around the area. Gave ourselves some false hope and combed the area twice. Disappointment. (Especially my mum who has been looking forward to her return to help out with the house.) Then worry. My mum was like pissed and worried till she bought 2 curry puffs and 2 goreng pisangs (which she couldn't finish).

We wondered (and still wondering) what happened to Siti. So many possibilities of what could have happened. She could have been sotong and not confirm her flight before coming back. Could have been the journey from her home to the airport. (It's an 8-hour drive.) Something could have cropped up suddenly. But she should have called us if she'd missed the flight. No call so far. Hope she calls back. At least it's some assurance that she's fine. The worry's overbearing. She's part of our family already and we get anxious if we get no news of her. *help* Hope to get some good news soon...

BoiBoi (aka Godfather to Baby Funny Guy) bought his godson some nice baby food! (Okay i don't really know if it's nice but judging from Baby Funny Guy's response, the food shouldn't be too bad.) BFG's grown already! At first i thought i was just thinking too much but my dad re-comfirmed my suspicions. That's fast... Anyway i hope it grows fast! Don't like seeing the hatchery in my tank. It kinda spoils the view.

Got shrimps for the other Penchex too. This batch consisted of a couple of really huge guys. (Okay not Guys coz most of them were full of roe.) I took one huge one for my tank and the rest were taken by BoiBoi for rearing. And as usual, many shrimps were taken down even before they even had a chance to enjoy the tank scenery. But it's such a thrill and excitement to see everyone grabbing the shrimps like no tomorrow! I love such aggressive fishes!!! I'm gonna have a few more tanks in the future. 1 for Electra. 1 planted tank for puffers, plecos and others. 1 huge (>5ft) tank for a couple of gars and a RTC. Another tank for breeding feeder fishes. And perhaps another tank to breed shrimps. (Gotta be self-sufficient or else expenses on live foods for everyone is gonna blast my wallet.) Just want all the tank dwellers to have the best foods if not the best living space.

Speaking of wallet, i forgot to bring my wallet to school today. Sheesh...

Got a surprise call from a friend i met in OBS (when i was in sec 3). It's another WOW! The conversation went something like this:

Zhiwei: Hello, may i speak to juliana?
Me: Speaking. Who's that?
Zhiwei: Zhiwei...
Me (blur): Which one?
Zhiwei: OBS...?
Me (enlightened!): OH Zhiwei! Hey, long time no see! Wait lemme take a look at the photo...
(looks at the laminated OBS group photo stuck on the wall right infront of me)
Me: Wow... do u still look the same?
Zhiwei: Well, more handsome. And slightly plumper. (i think it was something like this)
Me: err...

hahahahaa... Really cool! They are having a little OBS Dhanabalan watch gathering and he's probably the organizer. He mentioned that they had annual gatherings and every year he called my home phone only to find my mum answering it and saying i wasn't at home. *Oops...*
But anyway now that i've got a handphone, things get alot easier. Anyway it'll be great to meet up with all of them! I remember that time during OBS, the bonding between our watch members was strong. Guess it was because of all the confidence games and obstacles which we had to overcome together. Although most of us started out as strangers, we were already all buddies by the fifth (which was also the last) day of the camp. 5 years have passed.

How interesting... an udderly and toadally pleasant surprise!

Gave BoiBoi a pair of 2nd hand Hutchinson Pythons. Hope he likes them and find them useful!

Baby Funny Guy (my fry) is doing really well! Put him in a hatchery in the main tank and we saw him eating flakes just now! That saves my money of buying baby food. Hope it grows fast! And hope it doesn't escape into the main tank...

Perhaps, for every death, there is birth. Just opened my external filter to wash the sponge and i found a baby penchex! WOW!! It's around 6mm long and floating at the top. Can recognize it from the little star patch on its head. Didn't expect it! The egg must have been really lucky to have been sucked into the filter. Had plans to breed the penchex but due to the lack of space for another tank, i aborted the mission. But now, because of sheer luck, i've got 1 fry!!!!!

Really sleepy. Did project before and after school. Think i'll go sleep now...

My mum just mentioned that my maid called back from Indonesia this afternoon. Her mum passed away from liver failure. Apparantly she died on the Saturday before my maid went back but my maid's family did not inform her of it for fear she might be afraid. Hai... Rest in Peace.

Accompanied BoiBoi and his terrapin to the vet today. Consultation and syringes + medication cost over 40 bucks. Plus we went to the supermarket to get v8 juice and campbell soup to whip up the recommended concoction for the terrapin. Get well soon, ABC. (Actually the terrapin isn't called ABC but i just wrote ABC as his name during registration.)

Looks like other than bad news, i've got nothing much to put up. *Yawnz...* Going to sleep soon. Will leave the editing of report to tomorrow morning.

AAAARRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M TEARING MY HAIR OFF OVER REVISION FOR THE STUPID LAW TEST TOMORROW!!!!

It's really stupid you know. I hope to at least pass for it (actually more of getting a better-than-pass kinda grade). I've been putting in so much effort into this one by studying and trying to memorize all that crap for the past 4-5 days and now i don't remember ANYTHING at all. If i fail, it's not that i'm a rebellious kid who insists on last minute work (or no work for that matters). It's just that my brain's capacity isn't quite there.

The test'd better work out...
