Short getaway with the cousins to Lexis Hibiscus in Port Dickson! The small coach we hired took us there in 3 hours, there was no queue at the custom's at all, even though we reached at around 9am. Such a comfortable ride, all 11 of us, so cozy.
The aerial view of the resort, from the company's website.
Only spent a total of S$180 on this 2D1N trip to spend some quality time with the cousins. So grateful that I've this bunch of cousins as friends for the rest of my life.
Received a fibit as a bday present from JH, so B and I decided to spend the entire day with her on her bday! Batting cage again, I feel that if one isn't a softballer/baseballer, one shouldn't waste money on it. It really was quite embarrassing to miss several balls in front of those who can play the sport well. But I'm a floorballer and swinging a bat in mid air is almost equivalent to swinging my stick, so the humiliation wasn't as bad.
Had quite nice Zi Char over at A-Poh Kitchen, in Clementi.

Met up with KFC after, for some Manhattan platter that I had a discount voucher for. Can't wait for Cindy's grad next year and we can all go for grad trip together!

Played in a charity football event for my company, and we got the second placing in our group. But only the top could advance to the next stage, damnnn.
Caught Les Miserables with the family! Very happy that we were one of the first few batches to watch it, got to catch the uncut version. The scene of one man pecking another man's lips was not in the least unusual.
Pink dot with B! I believe in the freedom to love, it's better that we legalise same sex marriage than to risk gay people marrying the opposite genders and then end up divorcing- The children are the ones to suffer ultimately, dudes. What if your own daughter/son marries a gay man/lesbian woman. Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, procreate my foot.
Cousins outing in the month of June- BBQ at sixth uncle's! Pity the remaining 7 couldn't make it, else it would have been full attendance. At least for the cousins in my generation.
Pretty amazing that I can still have so much fun despite having to OT almost every single day. Including Sundays. Can't wait for the Eastern Europe trip next week for a well deserved rest hehe.

April has just become my favourite month again! Especially since I get a whole month of celebration, a card a day, brightening up 30 of my mornings.
Thank you for always making my kind of meals!
Swam with the cousins at sixth uncle's, and I'm so surprised that swimming is actually so much less tiring than running. Swam 24 laps and could have gone for more, if not for the fact that it was a cousin's outing, not a designated exercise day.
Fooled around the pool, took many stupid pictures too.
Spent my birthday at Hotel V Bencoolen, thank you for going to such extents just to make it special for me, I'm really touched :')
And for the steaks for both lunch and dinner omggggg.
And also to all my friends for treating me to dinner! Sexy Bitches at 18 chefs, our favourite only-5-times-a-year hideout.
And since I brought the go pro that day, decided to take a picture with my table-mates-for-the-day-in-office. I still don't like the hot desk policy, but I know this is a more practical way given that auditors are seldom in office.
Yellow Birds at Chin Chin's, always love our HTHT sessions, so thankful for this bunch of friends.

January, February and March, passed by so quickly, there goes another peak period. And this time round, I've prioritised work life balance, and still managed to finish work ahead of time hehe.
Met up with some of the NYFB, spent the entire time catching up, totally forgot to organise another outing with the whole gang omg. It was also then that I realised my hair was getting out of shape and in need of a trim haha.
K session with my maternal grandparents in lieu of KX's sweet 16th. Coincidentally, we were all in blue, which called for a blue photooo.
Rushed back from Batam to Ah Ma's 93rd birthday celeb!
Lost track of time talking with the cuzzies, so I was 10 minutes late for the outing with Yellow Birds. Hiked from Labrador Park to Harbour Front, the route was so scenic and amazing!
Upper Seletar Reservoir, so lucky that we were seated in the shaded area, and there was nobody else there at all my god.
NTU floorball slash hall peeps meet up, miss this bunch of people so much, all the fun times in hall, sigh.
ECP! Long time since I've been there.

Cousins lunch at Red Stars's, thanks RQBJ for the treat!

After not exercising for 3 whole months, MY GOSH, finally had 2 hours of squash plus 3 hours of swimming plus 2 hours of floorball. My body is aching all over, but I feel so good!!! SO ACCOMPLISHED.

Short getaway with B over the weekends, felt so good to leave everything behind, especially work and societal pressure, and just disappear to a place where everything is reclusive and private.
Turi Beach Resort is wonderful. The staff were all super friendly, although we were stunned when the whole bunch of them came to greet us after we returned from Nagoya Mall, and how we didn't even have to provide our room number at breakfast. Guess we weren't as low profile as we thought.
The whole zen environment of the resort was really the epitome of a holiday. The only 2 drawbacks were the stained bedsheet covers and the murky sea. But I brought my own blanket plus we didn't plan to do water sports, so those didn't affect us much.
Even the lunch at the resort was quite cheap. Fish and chips was only S$10, and tandoori chicken was S$11.
Thanks B for the awesome room with such generous sea view.
Spent most of the day at the pool! The feeling of swimming beside the sea, with surrounding palm trees, and in an empty clean pool, just awesome. Initially wanted to get a nice tan, but ended up being sunburnt...
Headed out for seafood dinner, the trip there and back cost S$16, but dinner itself was only S$34 even though we had the expensive stuff like crabs, prawns, mussels.
The trip to Nagoya Mall however was a hefty S$36, but we ate both lunch and dinner there. Ayam Penyat for only S$1.60 each, and A&W for S$7. The curly fries was a disappointment, but the chicken wings were so awesome omg. So juicy and full of fats, I LOVED IT. Share Tea was super cheap too, think it was S$2.40 for Taro Milk Tea.
Hehehe, the resort is too kind.

And so it begins, I'm finally brave enough to take the next step, the next step out of familiar terrains. I guess a part of me knew that this was impossible, but I was simply holding on because of that small tinge of hope.
Maybe you're right, it's better this way. Maybe this is the only way I can get out of this. And maybe I would be able to live again.
Work has been really kind to me, it's actually really fulfilling to be so busy all the time. Can't seem to remember much of what happened during the festive seasons- Christmas, New Year's, CNY.
Pulau Ubin on New Year's Eve!
Stock take at MBS on New Year's Day... But I got to charge OT, plus Carol at night hehe.
BBQ with some of the EY floorballers
Gong gong's 80th :D
And even my favourite holiday passed by in just a wink of an eye...
But I'm glad that through it all, I have you by my side, don't think I could have survived everything without you :')
One step at a time.
