Hoohoo! Papers just finished today. My condolences tothe H3 people (but secretly I'm laughing... MWHAHAH.) Got back home just... it's been a lifetime since I blogged. My shopping stamina has fallen to a real low - just two hours of trudging around Wisma and Tangs has made my feet ache. Damn I've got to improve it.
It feels weird to be sitting here. I feel like I want/need to study. That I should be mugging still. But actually it's kinda good cos I have SAT papers to take in two weeks. Hmmmm. Stupid post-exam Stockholm syndrome.. it was absolutely the same thing two years ago right after O levels. I remember feeling anxious and weird right in the middle of Harry Potter and GoF after Chem paper 1, thinking about what to study when I get home. Then walking aimlessly around Marina Bay wondering what exactly were we supposed to do... no objective in life anymore.
But I guess this time it's different... time to concentrate on Uni applications!! Lots to do lots to do... plus it's a whole new different phase of my life now so there are so many stuff to sort out. Get a job or attachement or internship... finance my fiscal deficiet... try to backpack some time... and much much more stuff! Guess I'll only start having real free time in January. But no matter, it's not going to be as tight as before so we'll see how.
Hoof. I think this is going to be my last post on this blog for a very long time ... not that anyone reads it anyway. I'm getting pretty tired of blogspot and I think it's time to move on to something else. But I'll be back though... I think.. so won't be seeing you for a while. Bye bye! Lead good lives!

I HAVE JUST FINISHED READING HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~
Haha yes yes, I shall be benign and not spoil anyone. I cried a lot during the book, and the plot twists and subplots are totally intriguing; you'll either be in trepidation or anticipation because anything could happen and anyone could just drop dead anytime. The book has definietly gotten darker... with some horrific scenes that will be really effective for horror movies, if anyone needs any inspiration. But the momentum not so smooth though. And the epilogue very cheesy ah. Nevertheless, the book is still v good (EVERYONE GO READ IT NOW!) and there are many parts with JK Rowling's trademark humour that makes you go ROFLMAO!
Gah I'm feeling really tired now so this may sound incoherent gah.
So now it's time to say goodbye to Harry. Thus ends the 10 year Harry Potter journey. I'm quite sad that there are no more chances ever again to speculate, think, ponder about what's going to happen in the next book, or just about what's going on in that strange head of JK rowling. However, book 7 does accomplish it's goal of offering closure to the million of fans and readers out there, and that it is with mixed feelings that I have when I think of the end of Harry Potter.
I can confidentally say that I've grown up with Harry - I started reading about him in P3 and was hooked ever since. He even had his O Levels while I had mine, though his is actually called OWLs. So it is very hard to let go of this strange magical companion when he's gone through so much with me. I don't want it to end. But I know it must end. It must end.
And I absolutely enjoyed my journey with Harry. And Ron. And Hermione. Totally. So memorable, all the adventures we went on, and all the heartbreaks and joy and accomplishments and not forgetting, snogging. But even though it's a franchise, it's just a book, I believe he will stay in many people's hearts for the many things he symbolises, especially for my generation, who grew up with and on Harry Potter.
It's sad to say goodbye to all the people in Harry Potter's world. I will certainly miss all of you. Very very much.

Yesterday they were bright gold; copper the day before. And today they turned a dark shade of red. (like liquid bromine)
I seriously wonder what colour they will turn into tmr. Blue? Green?! Purple?!? PINK?!?!?!?!
This is absurd. As if I wasn't weird enough.

Ah hem.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! ONLY 20 DAYS LEFT TO DEATHLY HALLOWS!!!!!!!! TWENTY!!!!! WAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!! *laughs like a maniac*
Sorry, couldn't help it. Got into the hype for it just now. So many prep activities going on! Countless Pottercasts, readings, quizzes, interviews, predictions etc; and each fansite has different stuff! And all the forums are posted on almost every minute now. But it's all worth it. Cause it's the buildup to the very last last last last Harry Potter mainstream book to be written! Who knows when another series as good as this one appears. It's gotta be a classic a hundred years down the road.
It's kind of sad that the seventh book is sort of shadowing the premiere of the fifth movie. Poor kids. They've been working their butts off the entire year, and it's not much of an impact. Not to say though, that the publicity wasn't good; I think it's brilliant!
Wooo pottermania pottermania pottermania!!!
I AM A MAD MUGGLE!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
< / pottergeek >
Gah, the weather sucks now. It's getting hotter and hotter everyday. Went for a ride with Mom to school today. And we got lost. I think I told her to stick to the wrong lane at Braddell and we ended up lost in Upper Serangoon Road. So embarrassing!!! And she's driving soooooooooooooo slowly that it took 1034981038472957602 years to get there. I think I'll just take a bus on Tuesday. Faster and safer. And not that much honking.
I'm kind of sick of my blogskin now, although it's reasonably practical and stuff, I just don't feel so chic. Looking for a new one.
Or maybe I just shouldn't bother. Doesn't matter one way or another.
Cts are over. Screwed, of course, like always. So now, life switches to MUGGER MODE. Not unlike the mugger mode activated two years ago one month before O levels. Blah I just hate exams. When I'm not doing well in them of course. It's a totally different matter if I start to do better. ...Yes, I know, so whatever.
Eeeeeeeeeeee I'm feeling so exhausted now I'm not typing any sense. Better stop before ah, I ramble on too much.
I wonder though, should I, or should I not play for NYCB concert? I think they're going to have a million horns coming back, so one less doesn't make much of a difference. It's an even smaller difference when that person is going to sound like da4 bian4. Ok. Still wondering. Shall wonder more first and see how it goes.
But me thinks me have a feeling that me ain't going back much cos not much free time these days. Hmmmmm.
Me just realised me missed the W.O.M.B.A.T... AGAIN!!! Gosh me keeps delaying it until it's over.
Me's not sound very sane now so me thinks me needs to stop now. STOP. ok. byes.

And OMG, you'd never have guessed what it was about.
Candy Chen, with her friend in London, watched Equus, which is a play starring Daniel Radcliffe (aka Harry Potter) LIVE! And yes, I know, and BUCK NAKED! Haha! But that's not incredible enough. The most crazy thing was that when they were in the queue, Cho Chang was queueing in front of them!!! That's right! Katie Leung was standing right in front of them!
WHOLLY COW!
What are the odds of seeing two Harry Potter stars in a day?!?! Totally MAHD! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
*screams incoherently*
I shall copy the post here. Hope Candy and her friend don't sue me or something. ...But the elation! (Oh, the elation!)
____________________________________________________________________
Candy's friend (Michelle)'s post.
(and i can just imagine 4 out of 5 of you chiming in 'AND NAKED' but that wasn't the point, really.)
we had booked our tickets online quite awhile ago, and bought the cheapest tickets (matinee show, upper circle seats) which still worked out to be about 20pounds
and today was the day! woohoo! :] honestly i don't often go very mad but...... HARRY POTTER!
******************
there was a long queue of people waiting to collect their pre-paid tickets and Candy and I joined the queue, chattering very excitedly
'We're going to see Daniel Radcliffe! Omg! :D'
'YES! I canNOT believe it!!! Hey, so what's the show about anyway?'
'Eh. I don't know?'
We had to wait quite abit so we started observing people.
Candy gestured to the Chinese girl wearing a white sweater, red skirt, purple stockings and yellow shoes standing in front of us: 'Hey Michelle, do you think she is Cho Chang?'
I rolled my eyes. How absurd!: No?
Candy peered at her and whispered urgently to me: Yes I think she is! I'm going to ask her.
Me: No way! That's so embarassing!
Candy tapped her shoulder and I thought of going away to hide: 'Excuse me, are you Cho Chang?'
The Chinese girl turned around, paused and nodded.
And you know what's the first thing that came to my mind?
SHE'S LYING.
This is Cho Chang! You don't look like her!
And when she turned to face us properly and obliged to take a photograph with us at Candy's request, it finally sank in.
Oh.
My.
Gosh.
CHO CHANG.
i had never been more shocked in my life. i think that explains the odd facial expression. Candy calls it the SINCERE expression lol!
a split second later it changes to the 'OMG IT'S A MOVIE STAR I MUST LEAN IN AND TAKE A CHUMMY PICTURE' expression
arrrghhhhhhhhhhh my goodness we standing right behind Cho Chang! exactly how ZHUN4 is that!
IMAGINE if we had just met just minutes later at Picadilly Circus, or if we had sucuumed to temptation and grabbed a Deli-Of-The-Day from Macs (Macdonalds here recently launched £1.99 deli sandwiches. seems to be directly competing with Subway's £1.99 sub-of-the-day) we'd very likely have just missed her! amazing.
and it was only today that I really realized exactly how calm I can be.
i started having a perfectly ordinary conversation with her as though she was any new acquaintance i met at UCL
'Oh so are you studying now?'
'Oh yeah yeah, sounds great! And so you're living in London?'
whatever happened to all the questions like
'so what WAS it like filming Harry Potter?'
'what do YOU think is going to happen in the end of the 7th book?'
'How did it feel kissing Harry?'
I mean, of course it isn't as exciting as stumbling into Daniel Radcliffe himself, but Cho Chang! in the flesh!
even without seeing the show, Candy and I were elated already :D my gosh the luckiest of days
the reception area of Gielgud Theatre
some pictures inside the theatre taken by Candy's fab camera

i thought it was pretty cool having seats directly above the stage itself. not sure if those tickets would be cheaper/more expensive thoughafter the show
inspired by how Philibert had managed to meet the lead actress in Wicked after the show, we thought we'd go round the buiding and hang around outside the stage door, cos maybe harry, i mean, daniel, would come out :D

and we saw even more over-eager fans

i used to scoff at those girls who chased 5566 and A1 and Westlife.
but i felt like one of them as I stood there on my toes with the rest of the fans eagerly craning our necks to see who was exiting the building
(not just young females mind you! there was an old British man, a middle-aged British lady, and quite disturbingly, a large bunch of gays. But they probably weren't waiting for Daniel Radcliffe la. I think.)

but Harry never came out :( oh wells.

Tuition overtimed and when I passed by HC, the concert was over and everyone was gone already. Much earlier than RJ band. But whatever. Felt stupid.
Plus throughout the night, I had the sudden urge to drink. I don't know why. Just felt like it. Especially when I passed by sixth avenue.
Funny, it made me think of that time after SYF results was released. All of us were loitering along Orchard, and most of us were pretty depressed. Then some of us just came in accord to the conclusion that we wanted to drink alcohol that night. Just drink, one night only. We were passing by the Bailey's (sp?) counter in Cold Storage and almost bought one bottle and some ice to share among the batch, when we realised that we were quite broke. Thank goodness though, who knows what could have happened. Haha, now I still feel like laughing at Melmel's remark about Bacardi when we mentioned alcohol that night. Such black humour.
Drinking alone is the first sign of alcoholism, apparently. So don't worry, I will take it seriously.

La Mer, trois equisses symphoniques pour orchestre: Dialogue du vent et de la mer -- anime et tulmultuex (do diese mineur).
The Sea, three symphonic sketches for orchestra: Dialogue between the wind and the sea -- animated and tulmultous (C sharp minor).
By Claude Debussy. French Impressionistic music, which is between the romantic and contemparary periods. Emphasises not on emotion, but imagery -- the colour, subtlety, and sophistication of the piece, with tonical chords. Definitely not usual band fare.
Four years ago, RIMB made history by playing the Merry Widow, a classical band peice, during SYF when no other bands had tapped on that kind of music before. And they got Gold. Now, there are much much more bands playing classical music during SYF now. Tomorrow, RJCSB would likewise be trying the same thing by playing Impressionistic music, which had never been tried before by a JC band during SYF.
Mr. Oura has put a huge amount of faith in us by choosing this song. Now it's up to us to realise his dream, and successfully make history (thinker leader pioneer!). To play like we're "possessed" tomorrow and "pour our soul into the sea". Not only for La Mer, but safari as well. There are much more I would like to write down but I realise it's too late and frankly, dosen't really do anything. Let's just play our hearts out tomorrow, and we shall have the world.
Go RJCSB, GWH.

I know I'm a day late but...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNAR!
Yeah. I do hope your 18th birthday went better than mine. :)
Ah. My PC is degenerating. It takes 5 minutes to open a Windows Explorer. Plus it's infested with Trojan Horses! And some Greeks have infiltrated my city already! RAWR.
I think passing down notes to the class is one big headache. Everytime there would be either huge, astounding amounts of extras, or there would a spare number of people asking for extras. I have never given out something Chemistry and not meet either of the two situations above.
I'm sick and fed up with it. Even I could see through your reasons and actions and find one single big fat excuse behind it all. Ok, fine. Supposing that it's not that one single big fat excuse engining everything, it's still so unfair that we have to get the brunt of the mistakes of other people. It's even more infuriating that those people are not realising what's going on.
But to put it in the words of Chian Yeh, "Oh well, life sucks... Get over it." Hmmm. Shall.
HC exchange next Saturday! I'm really looking forwards to that one. Can see all my nycbians again! And to hear HC band again would be great. Plus it would be really good exposure, what's with some people having the we're better than some schools so don need to prac at all let's go play soccer attitude. It keeps pissing me off that we, conscientiously or unconscientiously, are underestimating things. I really really hope that the exchange would be a glaring wake up call that slaps us awake. I'd rather that than us perpetually being on the clouds with eyes at the top of our heads.
Ok fine. I'm exaggerating a whole damn lot. Nervous! Please forgive me. Was reading the results of secondary school band. Only about 2o out of 150 secondary school bands got Gold or GWH. 3 of them got GWH (confirm down for presentation already.. since there are 3 spots only ). That would be a 13.3% (3sf) of the bands getting GOLD or GWH. ONLY!! And a 2% getting GWH.
Now tranfer that stat to JC bands. Lets do some math.
Total number of JC bands taking part= 20.
Assuming that this percentage will stay unchanged for JC bands,
if the judges are consistent with such high standards once again,
number of JC bands getting GWH = 2/100 * 20
= 0.4 band(s)
...
Wait. That's wrong. Er.
AIYA stupid numbers. I tell you, Maths hate me (and I assure you it's mutual). Can moderate by multiplying results with 2.5 I think but since my maths sucks-a-lot, please do the the refinement yourself. :)
But I'm seriously VERY VERY VERY PROUD of NYCB!!! YEAH!! We're finally proven ourselves be a top notch band! Hah! Good job! Finally, after 15 years, 3 consecutive golds! THE PASSION LIVES ON. And dig this: we're in the same league (ok la counted lah) as top bands like RI, RG, RV, Yuhua, SAS... WHoppee!
Haha sorry I'm really feeling so haolian now but I JUST ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU GUYS NOW. :) I'm so sorry I sounded doubtful over the phone last Wednesday, cos I was having assembly and this teacher kept staring at me. Plus I didn't know the situation well enough to gauge the stuff. And I'm so sorry for not poning school to support you guys when all the others did. :(
But I must emphasize that I LOVE THE HORNIES VERYVERYVERY MUCH! Espiecially Nut, Cinders, and Rap! And Cheryl and Ziyan as well. :) Don't worry, I would still love you guys as much even if you got silver or bronze, cos you guys did the best. And GAOPAPA TOO!! Oh how I miss him.
Ek! Aren't you proud too? Heeeeeeeeeeee.
Gah I'm feeling so sleepy now still haven't complete proposal I hate admin work and not looking forward to tomorrow at all cos haven't handed in ANY maths and she will scold plus ionic equilibra is a horrible bomb and quantum physics is completely GG and GP just adds the XX to it. Hence i shall end here and think of more games that have RATIONALE. Exciting.

First all, I would like to announce (with much pomp) that I've finally got my sexy K-3 MP3 player! WHEEE!!!!! It's 30 bucks cheaper than the nano 2G, but so much nicer looking (because it's chrome black) and just as thin. Plus it sounds better, with radio and supports wma. Though the organizational feature lacks somewhat, and can see fingerprints everywhere on it. But all in all, I'm pleased with my purchase.
I've found a new and very cool Kate Winslet fan site! It has millions of videos and pictures! Coolio. :) More objects to procrastinate on. AH. Ok, that didn't sound too right but I know what I mean.
Meeting Queen and YX on Monday to go listen to NYCB having audi prac. Looking forward to it, although cannot stay long. I realised Jericho is a very very suitable piece for NYCB playing style so I hope they please don't waste this opportunity.
GO MY HORNIES!!! HORNY HORNS!
Had band today, and there's improvement in La Mer! I'm quite happy about it, although I have deproved by a great deal since last week. Embrochure changed a bit I think... Hmmm. Rehearsal tomorrow. Just hope we're efficient enough and complete all that Mr. Oura wants us to complete within that one hour. Gosh. ONE HOUR ONLY. That's all we have for rehearsal, for the best environment we could get for preparation for SYF. That's it. That's all that there is. Shit, now I'm starting to get nervous.
And I'm anxiously awaiting the review for the proposal. Running out of time! I think I should go into proactive mode next week now to push.
Gah, this is going to be random but I shall say it anyways. I realised when Ruth and Jerrine hit people it's actually quite deceptive. Ruth's hits no sound, but got pain and lots of sting. Jerrine hits with lots of sound, but little pain and no sting. Hmmm. And it sounds more painful than Ruth's.
AH I still haven't watched 300 yet (so sorry Benny!) and Music and Lyrics as well! GAH. Can't find big enough slots of time. Speaking of which, I think I must once again make a list (which would, again, be for show only) of the movies I most certainly, absolutely, MUST watch this May and June.
SHREK 3!!!
Coming out in May. Here are 2 VERY FUNNY trailers!! Please watch. It's quite convenient, really, for you...and me.
Spiderman 3. Actually I'm not VERY enthusiastic about this one now but we'll see how it goes. Still, must watch it!!
And Pirates of the Carribean -- At World's End!!
Oh definitely this one. I wanna see what happens to the love triangle in the end. Heard rumours that the ending scene would show Will as the new captain of the Flying Dutchman, with a big scar across his left chest...
Anyway, here's the trailer. It's a good one.
HARRY POTTY AND ORDER OF THE PHEONIX!!!
Gah! Isn't it DUH? Found more pictures on Leaky! Here they are! I couldn't resist.
US cover of Book 7! Apparently the publisher cried after reading the book... go figure.
Sirius Black.
Cho Chang!
Ginny! I think she looks like what I envisioned Harry's Mom should look like.
Lol, and here's Luna Lovegood! Check out those earrings!
Umbridge!! Perfect image for her I think. And casting too.
Hermione!!! Looking more and more angsty with each movie.
Here's Harry! :) (Fresh from Equus... stark naked). Couldn't find the Ron's half of EW...WAH so late already must sleep now.

Anyways, band prac on Wednesday was ok I guess. Finally decided on the set peice, though I must say that I find our choice to be very limiting for our capabilities, or actually what we're really good at. But whatever.
I think the band still sounds the same as last time... or is it just me? And my section as well. I think we need to stop taking the pieces when we've got all the notes and stuff already and focus on some section technique building.
Though I'm now feeling quite happy with myself because I breaked my C on Wednesday and now I can reach D when I'm not tired. Yippee! But I think I should stop going up now because my notes below low F sounds like shit. Actually it sounds like a ship.... that sound that they make when smoke comes out of the chimney and the ship sets off. Gah.
I should stop playing poker too because I keep losing money! Gambling is really really bad I realised. Should stop it. Or play with moderation. :)
Getting my Samsung K-3 this Saturday. Yeah! It's a DAP and the sound quality is much better than iPod Nano (or at least what I heard the other day) and it's 30 bucks cheaper! It actually makes Nano sound flat... and I think it's so much sexier than Nano.
And I'm going for ACJC concert on Sunday! I hope it's good. Missed SYO's yesterday though so feel quite bad. And I discovered that ROUHUI is in SYTO for quite a while and she didn't tell me! RAWR! Lousy junior!
Ok. I better start doing some work now if not it won't be long before I'm going to feel optimistic about anything.

A Tempo XVIII ended yesterday. Frankly, I dunno what to say about it. Just like what Mr. Oura said, it was not good enough, and not lousy enough. Somewhere in between I guess. Every factor chipped in to our, hmmm, how to say, failure to reach excellence last night? I couldn't really use de___e. I find myself frequently going back to the purpose and roots of the whole thing and finding nothing much there. And I feel really apologetic to the seniors who came back last night just to listen to La Mer.
Though I must thank people who came all the way to watch with gifts and flowers and hearty words of encouragement! Thank you very very much! :) I really really appreciate your support and I'm sorry we didn't play at a better standard.
I would have blogged more if not for the lack of time and my reluctance to write some stuff down. Anyhow, I shall mug the whole week for CTs and try to achieve decent results. And also go back and practice so horn for it is my habit to deprove by a great deal after a very intense concert.

It is so weird that after being around Suang the past few days, I am looking at literature in a new light. Particularly after his recitations of excerpts from "Anthony and Cleopatra". (something about Anthony riding the horse and Cleopatra wanting to be the horse) He reminded me that literature is, after all, alive and supposed to be spoken and read out to appreciate it's full effect. I guess I have been reading too much non-fiction and lecture notes for me to forget that important aspect of reading itself. Goodness.
GP common test is officially screwed for, and by, yours truly. Spent ages picking a question, and picked a tricky one still. Comprehension was no better. I have absolutely no idea how to write the AQ; it's weird! Ah well, the whole thing was a fiasco, not unlike other GP common tests.
A Tempo is nearing. Reached home at ten thirty today because of ticketing matters. And I have concluded from the experience that no f**cking way am I ever ever going to go into accountancy. My god, all the serial numbers and money and tickets to be accounted for. Gave me such a headache. I can't even get my own tickets straight. Just not made for this kind of stuff. I'm scared for concert. I really am.
Got so many things to blog about but I sincerely forgot what. Sin cera.
I feel exposed suddenly to a number of latin phrases. Quid pro quo. Status quo. Per capita. Per se. Veni, Vidi, Vici. Aurum protestas est. Felix culpa. Magnum opus. Et tu, Brute? Et cetera. Ad nauseum. Carpe diem. Dues ex machina. Ad hominem. Ceteris paribus. Cognito ergo sum. Non sequitur. And of course, not forgetting our dear Auspicium melioris aevi. Ok. I'm blabbering again.
Pride and prejudice!

Induction camp just ended today!! Yeaa, we had lots of fun doing the whole thing! WAhaha, although here and there a bit screw ups and some piss offs, the whole thing was generally good. :) It would have been better if I wasn't sick but oh well. Shall blog about details another day lah hah.
Omg just came back from tuition. There's so much stuff to do for tmr, and the whole of next week's school!! (Even though it's Take 5 on Friday) Ah~ but frankly when have I ever finished my to-do lists ah?
Wtheck just whack lah.
Valentine's is coming! Can't believe I forgot about it until late last week. Lol... changes~! Hmmmm this year don't know whether Queenie is can make it to Sg in time or not.... so not sure yet. Argh. Stupid day.
Taking Clarinese now... did you know one clarinese tablet costs $2.00 ++? I'm sure so expensive lah! It dosen't work very well too. Should try panadol cold relief. Then the hair can "AAACHOOO!!!" and fly all over the place. And then "I know how you feel." "No you don" "Yes I do" "Bud you dond hav a cole" And then the bus will come along with the ad there.

The week is over. BIG sigh of relief.
But not a very good week though. Screwed up Physics and Maths test. And wahahha SCREWED CHEM SPA AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! And I'm horribly lagged behind many tutorials~ ARGH.
AHRHSDghSKGH and my week is still not over yet... cos there's INDUCTION CAMP TMR!!! And my nose is still blocked... HAI. The week gets longer and longer. :(
Horribly traumatized on Thursday morning. Was scared out of my life by an unconscious maid at the bottom of the stairway. I think she was carrying a large pail of water when she slipped from the top of the stairs and crashed all the way down. The poor thing... couldn't tell whether she was alive or dead. Totally freaked out and went looking for someone to alert, while simultaneous thinking whether I'll be charged for murder/manslaughter if I didn't have an alibi. Lol, the things that occur to people under stress. Anyway, finally found a door with a doorbell to ring, and the guy who came out checked on her (looked like a doctor). She started making incomprehensible sounds so at least she's alive but still unconscious. And then the ambulance is called and I rushed off for school.
But the poor maid! I have a feeling she'll get a scolding or something when she gets back home... sigh. Poor things.
Anyway, I'd better go and tidy up my week before the next one starts right after camp. Band's quite busy tmr as well so I'll have to pop by wheee to help. :) VF celebratory dinner next Friday at Soul Garden!! This is the last year J2s can enjoy the student priced buffet meal! So must take full advantage of it before we become adults.
I'm ageing!! Shall blog about this the next time. AGEING!!!

"Why didn't I join soccer ah?" Zann asked today. Actually I also dunno. Was watching their training from the library the other day and found myself concentrating on their training instead of doing SATs practices. I so wanna play soccer now! Xiang3 dang1 nian2 in NY, I could just pop into the hall anytime with Yihan to play a super intense game of basketball and feel really good after that. Or I can join the junior gepers to play street soccer during recess. Hai. Now it's impossible to do so.
It's the CNY project tmr! Finally! Everybody JIAYOU!! Last leg!! Lets make it a successful one ya? :)
Had physics test on Mon. Totally screwed up lah! I'm sure you don't tell us what the start and end time are and you give a space smaller than my hand to write a 3 mark question (and my hand is really small leh!). Best part is when you announced that there was only ten minutes left, the whole LT went "SHIT!", cos most of us had 2/3 blank pages. I'M SURE!
I've decided to list the amount of movies I wanna watch when I'm free... which would probably be never. But just for the fun of it --
Babel
The Queen
The Last King Of Scotland
Little Children
Dreamgirls
The Fountain
Notes on a Scandal
The Good Shepperd
Letters from Iwo Jima
I think I noticed that most of them are either M18 or R21 but what the hell. If you don't crash now, then when? I'm starting to age already!!!
Yeah!! Kate Winslet!!! :) Hugh Jackman!!! :) ... Suddenly realized my favorite actors/actresses are seldom American. WHAHAHA.
Hehe I found this in Gen/Yiting/Ellen/Zann/Trish's blog. LOL!

Wahaha I think their class is fun! They even had a senior/junior class party where all the seniors wore their secondary school uniform! And they have miiiiiiiillions of photos of them in class. Was laughing so much at kiddy Zaan and Ellen. So cute!
Ok stop. Shall go and pack 480 hongbaos and study Maths. Whoopeee!

And to add to the whole bloody mess, I lost my wallet today!! :( Yes, again I know. One moment I had it safe and afterwards when I check, it's gone. :( Feel like crying all over again. Praying hard that it's found by someone nice and GO will get it. Weekends without wallets are torturous. And I'm not going to tell my parents first. Shall wait and hope. :(
On a happier note,
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS WILL BE OUT IN STORES ON 21ST JULY!!!!!!!!!!!
YEAH!! JK Rowling apparently finished writing the book in a hotel in Edinburgh, and wrote on a statue in the hotel this:

It says "J.K. Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this room (652) on 11th Jan 2007." Wahaha. Can't wait for it to come out though. I think next week I'm going to put up the Deathly Hallows countdown. Whopee!
As per the forums, I shall state my view about Deathly Hallows, created from reading essays and evidences on forums.
R.A.B is definitely a Black, but dunno which one.
The last item of the Four Founders would be a wand of Ravenclaws, supported by the central theory of Tarot cards. Ollivanders disappearing has definitely something to do with this.
Snape is NOT evil! Per se. He is on Dumbledore's side.
Hagrid will die, as per Harry's father figures.
I do hope very much that a Malfoy dies. (no more draco/hermione ship!!)
I hope that a Weasley DOES NOT die, no matter how probable it may seem.
There was something going on between Snape and Lily.
Ginny/Harry ship forever!
It's going to get very interesting.
Next (although this is considered old news already...):
KATE WINSLET is the youngest person ever to get FIVE Oscar nominations by the age of 31. YOU ROCK! :) *loves*
I got a new phone yesterday. Nokia something. Didn't like it much but after some propaganda from the back row, I have started getting used to it. Bye Sony-Ericsson! I will miss you! *tears*
Was sick on Tuesday due to air-con plus Cheryl plus Gen. But got better after a while cos of powerful medicine. Sooooooo many ppl in our class sick these days. Cheryl, Ruth, Sranj, Jiayan, Jannah, Michelle -- I think it's the air-con lah. Please get well soon cos yes, lots of work ahead and stuff.
Today, during Phy tut, Jiayan was giving Jap lang lessons to Cheryl. Then Jeff and Benny turns around to participate in the ruckus. Which resulted in funny things coming out of everybody.
Jeff: Shindekudasai!! (which means go and die)
Jiayan: It means go and die! That's so rude! (or something to that effect)
Jeff: That's why got the kudasai there what.
Apparently, Jiayan says shindekudasai can be translated literally to "PLEASE go and die." or something that's even politer. And "anata wah baka des" is a really really formal and polite way of telling someone he's stupid. Interesting! And Jeff pronounced Korean with hokkien accent. So babo becomes ba3bo2 or ba1bo2. They're killing languages left and right!!
Ooooh Audrey came to school today to celebrate Huiling's birthday! Miss her!

Finished SATS on Saturday, and I have to say that it was totally exhausting. I think I had butt aches after sitting there for 4 hours. Don't think I did very well though -- my essay was rubbish. And I'm not so confident with my math too cos I ran out of time for the grid-ins. Whatever. It made me think of N.E.W.Ts -- Harry Potter's Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests. Or in this case, it's N.E.S.Ts: Nastily Exhausting Stupid Test. If given the chance/luck/grace/miracle, I would never ever take another SAT 1 exam again. Horrible experience.
After that had lunch with Peijie and Sranj at JEC; we were all suffering from a primal ravenous hunger after the NEST. :)
And imagine my horror when I got home and my Mom DRAGGED me to Orchard since my father and brother were there. OMG I should have just fainted. I'm sure I want to go shopping after (the nastily exhausting) SATs! Stoned throughout the whole thing but felt slightly more energetic after having Ding Tai Fung for dinner. Well, at least energetic enough to buy a pair of heels, which satisfied my mother that she didn't waste her time bringing me out. Naturally, I dropped dead and declared myself a corpse when I got home.
UGH all these things are so burdening. I feel as stressful as just before I took SATS. Which evidently explains my pimple outbreak. And I forgot to get new contact lenses! Have to wear ugly specs for at least one more week.
Burn baby burn!
And in a new attempt to keep myself young at heart, I read the new Artemis Fowl book that my brother bought when I was trying to sleep just now. Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony. It's pretty cool actually. Delightful twists and sheer wittiness of Artemis kept me reading. There were times when you just have to burst out in LOLs cos Mulch/Holly/Doodah Day/Foaly are just too hilarious. ArtemisxMinerva! WAhaha.

Listen up brothers and sisters,
come hear my desperate tale.
I speak of our friends of nature,
trapped in the dirt like a jail.
Vegetables live in oppression,
served on our tables each night.
This killing of veggies is madness,
I say we take up the fight.
Salads are only for murderers,
coleslaw's a fascist regime.
Don't think that they don't have feelings,
just cause a radish can't scream.
Chorus:
I've heard the screams of the vegetables (scream, scream, scream)
Watching their skins being peeled (having their insides revealed)
Grated and steamed with no mercy (burning off calories)
How do you think that feels (that it hurts really bad)
Carrot juice constitutes murder (and that's a real crime)
Greenhouses prisons for slaves (let my vegetables go)
It's time to stop all this gardening (it's dirty as hell)
Let's call a spade a spade (is a spade is a spade is a spade)
I saw a man eating celery,
so I beat him black and blue.
If he ever touches a sprout again,
I'll BITE him clean in two.
I'm a political prisoner,
trapped in a windowless cage.
Cause I stopped the slaughter of turnips
by killing five men in a rage
I told the judge when he sentenced me,
This is my finest hour,
I'd kill those farmers again
just to save one more cauliflower
Chorus
How low as people do we dare to stoop,
Making young broccolis bleed in the soup?
Untie your beans, uncage your tomatoes
Let potted plants free, don't mash that potato!
(Shouts: Spare the asparagus (?) EAT A COW INSTEEEAAAD!)
I've heard the screams of the vegetables (scream, scream, scream)
Watching their skins being peeled (fats in the stirfry are sealed)
Grated and steamed with no mercy (you fat gormet scum)
How do you think that feels? (leave them out in the field)
Carrot juice constitutes murder (V8's genocide)
Greenhouses prisons for slaves (yes, your composts are graves)
It's time to stop all this gardening (take up macrame)
Let's call a spade a spade (is a spade is a spade is a spade)

OMG was reading Mr. Oura's blog and I didn't know Mr. Oura was Mr. Lee's student!!! Now I DEFINITELY have to go back to play for alumni. Too bad it's in June this year again and I really don't know whether going for IU trip or not. We'll see how. I love you, Mr. Lee!
And I've fallen in love with Hrithik Roshan (and Bollywood) again!!!! Can't believe his dance moves have gotten even better in Dhoom 2. And I thought he was at the pinnacle of dance already!! And that hair! Wahahaha go Hrithik! Eclipse Shah Rukh! Ehehehe. Inspiration you.
Btw, when's Shava outing now?!?
But I'm still disturbed, albeit much lesser than last week, about Abishek marrying Ashwayir Rai (sp?). Noooooooooo!! :( It's definitely a power marriage, I think, in the attempt of strenthening the Bachchan family ties. Hais.
BAH. SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT SAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think everyone in my house is ageing. My brother has self-proclaimed that he's matured -- by asking for an iphone. o_O Apparently, he's done a great amount of research on it, and knows that its going to be onsale in Singapore in December, which is just in time for his birthday. And that it's not that expensive if we purchase a new line. How bollocks can you get?!?! I think I really need to talk to him about the importance of MARNEEE, and about the sequence of the Apple hierachy. A few days ago, he made the same request, except with an iMac. Seriously. I definitely have to talk to him about the hierachy of the FAMILY above all things (where's my laptop?). And that if you can afford it, you should actually go UP the Apple hierachy, instead of down.
Ok, that just now was a bit mean. But seriously pissed off about it. Mood swinging the whole day. Angsting (ok not really la, just pissed) then laughing like an idiot about "bird brain" and "scoll (screw) up". Woohoo~~ If I carry on like this, I'll probably go straight to some psychatrist or something (no offence).
Myrika's revamping Reason & Romance. Gave me a big false alarm. I thought new story or something. Bleaugh. Seems like everyone's taking breaks -- Dark Raion, Sabam, Pasifikstar, Almeciene etc. But good actually -- now I can stop reading for a while and concentrate on school work.
SATS OMG~!!!! I'm going to just.. God help me.

1) Happy 18th birthday to Ruth and Jiayan! And happy 20th to Weili! Woots.
2) My new favourite hobby: glaring at J1s in the library mugging. Great excuse to angst... but they motivate you to start mugging.
3) It has started to pour again. Got home drenched and sputtering like a fish. But if it's not for Ruth's shrinking umbrella, I would still be swimming somewhere. I think it's going to rain forever again this time.
4) CCAfest was all right. Got quite a lot of people. Though not sure whether ALL of them will stay/get to stay.
5) Thought about a large amount of "What ifs", relating to events from last year --the parallel/alternative timeline. Quite fun actually, planning my so called future.
6) Mario Vazquez has a nice voice.
7) My house shirt sucks. I washed it and now it's gray where it's supposed to be white. I'm sure the black must be so intense.
8) Going to sleep now. Can't remember what I wanted to blog... whatever.

Which stands true, if Mr. Hau's theory of the more knowledgeble people getting more girlfriends/boyfriends. Which is as usual, amusing.
After school I went to the library with Cheryl, Sranj and Anisha (yes, no life.). When I got into the lift, I felt someone touching my bag from behind. Purposely bumping into it. And so I turned around to face the perpetrator and to my surprise, it was a teacher (Mr. Jamie Reeves I think... not sure.), trying to zip my outer apartment close, while simultaneously teasing it with his outstretched fingers. I thought he had done me a favour and wanted to thank him for helping me zip it when he suddenly said something about already taking the money from it. It was all in a rush and the next thing I knew was frantically trying to check whether my mp3 player was still there (least he really took it). And I suddenly realising that that gang of teachers (Mr. Sowden and Co.) were all laughing at me. How embarrasing!! :( Hmph. I'll never forget to zip up my bag again.
I shall not bore people with my mundane day any more, which was peppered with tensions about SATs and overdue tutorials that I just can't seem to finish. So glad I'm in Hadley-Hullet, which had the best looking house t-shirt, to popular opinion. Of course, I was dissapointed that RJ had still not started making dri-fit shirts when other schools have made it their staple material. The material sucks! If you wash the shirt more than a few times, I bet you that the color will fade, just like the JJ house shirt, cos the material are identical.
Stressed beyong belief! Can't believe the amount of stuff piling onto me. Better get used to it before it gets worse.

I do hope it's just a temporary state of mind or phase I am going through. Otherwise, I'll just have to chop off something sooner or later.
To all angst fans, forgive me if I seem to be trivialising or in any way demeening the basic concept of angst itself; didn't mean to and not on purpose. It's just a different brand of angst from yours I think.
I'm so sick of the high society and everything that comes with it. Disgusted, actually. I still need to stay though, and no garanteens when it'll be over. Neither here nor there. And with nothing on either side. But I repeat what I've said last March. It's not my fault.

Check it out on Youtube here! http://youtube.com/watch?v=gPutYwiiE0o
I don't think you'll get it if you haven't played any Final Fantasy or RPG game in your life. But wth, there are hilarious spoofs of Dick Cheney and George Bush, so just watch it for fun.
The maker of the video is a guy called Mark Leung, who studies in Babson College.. and he's a Singaporean!! O_o!! Check out College Saga episode 4... the background/setting where he filmed the commercial is the Jurong East MRT Station!! LMAO! Couldn't believe at first but it's true!!!
Go click on it!! Espeicially funny for people who played FF or any RPG games before.

The party yesterday was pretty ok la. There were so much food though. And my brother was once again, really polite and did not break ANY glasses. Played bridge and UNO attack and looked at infinity number of photos of Brown University, Providence, Boston, DC, New York and some other places. At first the pictures were really pretty but they all looked the same after a while and we all got photo fever. Listened and listened about Brown and LSE. In all, it was ok, just that it was the same as every other gathering we used to have.
Went out with Sharon on Sat. Was quite sad that we didn't catch The Holiday, but still chated about quite a lot of stuff, mostly about Band actually. Found out things that I had no clue about before and totally changed my opinion about that person. Had nice icecream!! I should have gotten rum and raisins actually, what with my latest obsession with alcohol and such, but chocolate hazel nut proved in the end to be tooooo sweet for me. Once again, I love Orchard Road at night, albeit really really really crowded. The lights this year are really pretty, and after hearing what New York and DC do to their public streets during Christmas, I'll never ever take Orchard Road for granted, ever again. Thanks Sharon!!! :)
Going for the first class outing of the year later, and Han's house. Not sure of what to bring for Mr. Lai though. Hmmmm, shall just wait and see.
Saw Anaar's blog! Haha, that was a nice thing she did in that entry :) Thanks Anaar, loves all around too.
Balalallala rubbish. School's starting and I haven't touched any tutorials I was supposed to do yet! RAWR! So hung up about SAT and revision and projects and proposals that become like that. I'm quite happy now though that I didn't go for the interview for Raffles forum. Seems like a blessing in disguise actually. I don't think I can ever handle that much workload, plus next year is SYF year and I definitely have to do well. So yes, lets try to stay sanguine and yes, the abhoration is going to start again.
Happy 2007 everybody! Let's all stop being such arses and keep our peckers up shall we?
