This blog is dead.
Truly. It hasn't been updated in eons, there are no regular readers and people who chance upon this usually glance at the last dated post and move on. In other words, this blog is no longer current, and therefore holds little to no value in this speedy infomatic world, even in the quietest corner of the internet.
It's not that I have no content to blog about. Nonono. There's this unimaginably HUGE (and I mean, HUGE) amount of backlogged drafts that have accumulated in the "Edit Post" area, mostly due to my own chronic procrastination and this fear of deadlines. They say an essay/article/piece can never be finished, unless there's a fixed deadline. Because it can be edited and perfected, again and again and again..... So... I guess that's what happened. Mostly. And also because I've waited too long and the issue is no longer current or that it's not interesting anymore. Hah.
Anyhow, I've been thinking about migrating this blog to another platform to start anew, with a fresh focus and a deliberate attempt to seperate my personal trivialities from the more serious stuff I... rant about. Because you see, this blog has been here since my secondary school and high school days and God knows what the HELLZ I blogged about then. I can't even go back and read them because, ugh, they're disgustingly immature and "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING" will just keep echoing in my head, which is an entirely purposeless pursuit altogether so that's why I don't do it. *big breath* Right. Platform? I'm thinking wordpress, since it suits my intentions perfectly. (Livejournal is for communities, haha) I'm seriously considering tumblr as well. Hmmmm. We'll see. Crap, I've already mired into the webs of incoherency. Is there no limit to the maximum hours of sleep a person can function on?
Ok, the bottom line of this whole post is: my blog is dead because my life, something my blog reflects, is uninteresting, tepid, routine-ish, banal, mundane, and every other synonym for "BORING" you can find on dictionary.com. You can even extrapolate life to the person herself so... yippee? Ugh. So long, people. Next time you bravely venture into this blog's bleak terrain, either expect a new post or a new link to a new (and perhaps bleaker) domain. Adios!

This one goes out to China

Happy Birthday!!!
(In other news, my midterms just ended today (Yippee!). But I still have a shitload of papers to write and work to do etc (Booooo) Life's not bad though, as a college sophomore; I shouldn't complain)

The Road to Success

It's not easy: truly an uphill climb fraught with pitfalls, traps, roadblocks and detours. Yet, despite all that, the road to success remains a one-way street with no forks or junctions -- you just have to keep keep walking to get to your destination. And the sweet feeling of arriving at the top makes everything worthwhile again (and I mean EVERYTHING).
So folks, don't give up on the road of success. It's mid-semester (and the start for some) and I know it's getting dry/dreary/dull/dreadful/disgusting/drowning/dying/damnation but keep your focus on the target and keep trudging along. Don't worry, you will get there someday.

trolled by H1N1. BIG TIME.
Ok, so the World Choir Championships in Busan are abruptly cancelled today due to the Gyeongnam government's paranoia with the H1N1. That means the orchestra's gala concerts at the festival are cancelled as well. Which then gives me no real reason to go to Korea.
Craptastic.
So now I'm packing to board the plane going to a place with no fixed accomodation. with no plan. Which suits me fine (because I love free'n'easy and hate being sheep) except there's no time at all to do research of anything. Busan? Jeju? DMZ? Maps? Money? Forget about the best Korean backpacking experience, I'll be happy enough if we can pull this off properly.
Man, now I feel like just staying here and hanging out in my own terms.
Curse the Gyeongnam government. How many times must it be reiterated that the H1N1 flu virus is just another common flu that doesn't kill? People who allegedly died from the it actually suffered complications from other health problems that are inherent in their body before they contracted the flu. That it's labelled as a pandemic in the first place is sheer absurdity on the part of WHO, not helped of course by the over-extensive coverage and the subsequent big woohaa caused by the Western media. Seriously, its just puny influenza.
It's two in the morning and I HAVE to go pack. Not looking forward to this trip at all, but will try to make the best of it.
There will most likely be radio silence from me for the next eleven days, since I'm not sure where there'll be a stable internet connection. That also means I will not be blogging SYTYCD this season, since I haven't actually watched any episode so far because of my craptastically busy schedule. LoudTwitter is down, so there're be no twitter blog entries as well. And anything can happen in Korea. Lead good lives, people. Till we meet again.

Update! Where I finally babble in more than 140 characters!

Who knew that Twitter, of all social networks, would be such an ideal vehicle to express myself? The 14o characters limit saves me lots of time and prevents me from writing walls of text (that no one will EVER read). It also effectively bridges the gap between Facebook status updates and lengthy blog posts that need structure and cannot possibly accommodate the presence of multiple random topics in one post. Revolutionary indeed. So... HURRAY!
Plus, there's at least an active community of people who provide adequate feedback and interaction. Unlike this cold and lonely cell where no one ever visits. *sniff* Like, while my blog statistics is bursting with visits related to searches for "Quest Crew", "ABDC" and "hot naked Victor Kim" from all over the world, there exists only one or two odd visitors from IP addresses that actually belong to Singapore. I know it's kinda my fault but can you say "sheesh"?
Having said that, the supposed central topic of this blog, ie my life, needs no updating because essentially it's made up of the events that need little to no elaboration. I shot myself in the foot, spent about a month rotting in front of my laptop, marathoned through all 5 seasons of House (Huddy ftw!) and 10 seasons of Friends (Chandler ftw!), suffocated to death by censorship in China, spent a day as a sheep in Disneyland, wept real tears of sorrow for MJ, went over to the dark side, fell into a trap set by MCYS, successfully got my hair to look like Goldilocks, attempted to write a proper paper etc etc. See, no elaboration needed at all.
It's no surprise, therefore, that reading and hearing about internships and people working for an actual income has left me feeling slightly melancholic because of how unproductive my summer has been in comparison. Even though I know that's kind of inevitable because of my weird vacation schedule. Over the next 2 weeks, I'll be traveling to Korea, the land of the big-faces, to perform in the World Choir Championships with the orchestra. Good times. So right now, I'm basically sweating over a Mozart Violin Concerto on a daily basis. No joke. Dark side is DARK. ... And festering with cocoons of EEEEEEVIL.
The future of this blog remains uncertain though, unlike my schedule of DOOM. I have the biggest backlog of drafts in the world, waiting to be penned while my ink of intellectuality (wtf?) runs dejectedly dry (omg this is the pits). Travelogues of trips made aeons ago, concert reports dating back to last year's Da Capo, rants on every subject known to mankind, etc etc ETC. The list goes on and on, and frankly, I'm pretty ambivalent about giving a damn.
What's for certain, though, is that I'm MOST PROBABLY going to blog about the recent season of SYTYCD, since I've repeatedly promised myself to do so, and some other bits and pieces of my life. So do expect something new appearing in this space over the next few weeks and as Mayor Schwarzenegger always says,
"I'll be back."
As a reward to those kind readers who have made it allllll the way here, I give you an opportunity to droll over this.

If you're a member of the female species of course, with the mainstream sexual orientation. If you don't belong in either group, then, er, ... find your own sexy lady to drool over! Trust me, they're all over the internet.
