To all my stitching friends.

It had been 1 1/2 year since I last stitched.  I've decided that I won't have the time or the interest to continue with any stitching until I retire.  I still enjoy looking at all your beautiful stitching and just wish I have that tiniest spark in me to pick up a needle again.

I've been wanting to sell them for a while but kept on asking myself whether I will regret and just put the decision off.  However, this time I am very sure that I won't regret selling most of my stuff.  Hand-dyed fabrics, used charts, French and German cross stitch magazines and kits will be put on Ebay very soon.

It had been a great pleasure knowing so many talented stitchers from all over the world during my stitching years.

Not Stitching

I haven't been stitching since 31 Dec 2011.  I've been busy reading - really reading a lot.  Those early hours in the morning are spent on reading instead of stitching like before.

I really don't know when I will have the mood or urge to stitch.   Still, I love to see beautiful finishes by other stitchers - so keep on stitching to get me into the mood again :0)

I was rushing through this since yesterday as I don't want to bring it over to 2012.

I have no idea what I should stitch for next year.  I am thinking of continuing this HAED project until I finished Christmas Spirit..... OR

start on this new kit.

Since it is New Year's eve tomorrow, we are throwing a party, inviting some family members and friends over.  I hope I can last through the night as my bedtime is usually at 9.30pm.

I wish everyone a Happy New Year!

I hope I can finish this off by the end of this year.  Still thinking hard which project to start to continue after this.

Bought this from a news stand in Germany 2 days ago.  I might stitch this Eva Rosenstand Girl Skiing to go with my Girl with Light.

I had been baking quite a lot and thought I could smell my oven smoking.  It is amazing that we have 6-8 degree this winter.  I can't remember having such a warm winter throughout my years here in Denmark.
I wish everyone a wonderful Christmas.

Progress as of this morning.

It had been a while since I bought from HAED.  During this sale, I bought Katerina Koukiotis Ballet Shoes.

When I saw this new kit by Dimensions, I knew I simply have to buy this to add on to my ballerina stash.  It will goes well with my Dimensions Ballerina Beauty

The coloured symbols for this pattern are driving me crazy.  Still I am very happy with the progress.

Both my daughter and I had been busy making a lot of Hama Christmas ornaments.

I have 2 items for sale.  Prices include postage but only within the EU countries.  Payment via Paypal.

Bought this from sewandso.co.uk last week and it was too late to cancel my order.  Talk about fast service :0) The kit hasn't been opened.  Vervaco Cupcakes £27

Sassy's Fabbys Night Fall 28ct Jubilee - 18x27 - £10

Butterflies WIP

I haven't touched this project for a while.  I just started it again as I just want to finish it and move on.

My daughter and I had been busy making some Christmas ornaments for our house but she decided that Grandmum should have them instead.  So, I am making more of these Hama ornaments.

This is her own Christmas corner.

This is how it looks like during daytime.

I had been having so much pain in one of my teeth for more than a month.  I didn't thought much of it as the pain was on and off.  Until last week, the pain didn't stop for days and I decided to visit the dentist in Germany.  I have very good teeth according to her but my gums are not good, due and so she extracted that tooth 2 days later.  According to her, there are probably 3-4 which might have to go in the future unless I take really good care of them.

Completed as of 13 October 2011 and added God Jul above the door frame. Initial plan was to stitch Glædelig Jul but due to the limited area there, I had to shorten it.

What should my next project be? I am starting to get into kits these days as I am too lazy to find the floss and fabric.  It might be this butterflies pattern from Point De Croix Magazine as my next project.

Or this one since it is a kit but I hate Dimensions patterns due to the different strands of floss, 1/2 and 1/4 stitches.  Since I am using a hand dyed fabric (too lazy to stitch the background), I am still on the lookout for a dark blue/grey fabric.

I am quite pleased the progress of this WIP.  Love reds and pinks.

I received my copy of JCS Christmas Ornaments 2011 this morning.  I was one of the 15 lucky winners who won this lovely magazine.  Thank you to the 3 ladies from USA who generously gave away 15 copies of these magazines to non-USA stitchers.  I love the cute squirrel on the front cover but will change the buttons to something else.  There is a very lovely and easy recipe in this magazine - Oreo brownies and I am looking foward to try this recipe out.

We Did It!  The new State Minister of Denmark is Helle Thorning-Schmidt.  The new Social Democrat-led government and its allies are projected to have won control of 92 seats in the 179-member parliament. The Liberal-led alliance of now-former PM Lars Løkke Rasmussen is forecast to end with 87 seats.

Am I happy? Yes of course! That means easier immigration rules.  The bad side is that, they will be taking in all kinds of foreigners in and taxpayers will have to pay for those who can't provide for themselves.  Taxes will be raised as well....... well, let's see how this government goes.

I've lost my urge to stitch on my HAED for a while but would really love to stitch something.  So I started this kit Santa At The Door by Eva Rosenstand.  I am stitching for the sake of stitching as  Iwake up like 4.30 to 5am in the morning.  Stitching is the only thing  I can pass my time while waiting for the rest to get up.

This is how it will look like when finished.

Today is a big day here in Denmark as it is the Election Day.  I can't elect since I am not Dane but a foreigner.  I just hope if the new goverment comes in, they will be nicer to the foreigners or immigrants.  Nicer doesn't mean that they have to provide for us.   After living here for 10 years and working part-time for 9 years, I am still not qualified to be a permanent citizen.  Why? They came with this point system recently which I qualified almost all except for having a full time job for 2 years.  I simply don't understand - is a part-time job not a job at all?  I've been paying taxes like any others who are working.

I am really looking forward to know the results of the election today.  If this current government continues having this anti-foreigner Pia K as the puppetmaster, we really have to move out of this beautiful country.
