One Heart's Golden Rule

Humanity does not need proof of God the divine, Christ the crucified and resurrected, Holy Spirit the comforting presence.

The heart longs for an experience with God the divine, Christ the crucified and resurrected, Holy Spirit the comforting presence.

In reaching out to others I want to be careful to offer my experience, not my proof.

And then my heart treats your heart as my heart wishes to be treated. (One Heart's Golden Rule)

tiny flowers

It was a first meet up.
A warm sunny afternoon.
We were walking looking at the lake.
There in the grass stood two wee flowers, not over an inch tall and no bigger around than a shirt button each.
They were proud and vibrant in spite of their small stature.

We noticed at the same time.
It was a moment of wonder, awe, mystery.
Beauty revealed by tiny flowers
Two hearts encouraged to share.
Admonished by these two small flowers to grow gracefully together.

God Poem

High in Heaven, near to the earth
Sweep Spirit over the land
In my free thought and deepest emotion
Sweep Spirit into me.
Blow wind of Spirit free your child again
Fill wind of Spirit, Fill this space with love
Between brothers and sister, of all nations
Blow into your children Spirit, all that you have formed.
Blow your praise upon us, that we in turn may sing
Blow Spirit over us this offering we bring.

Love Letter No 91 - Protecting Love

Dear C,
Thinking over the last few days,
Your sweetness complete, special ways,
heart like mine spills over, each word,
attempting explanation, love is assured.
My soul is bursting with internal connecting,
Together love's largesse lavish protecting.

When it's bigger than only you and me,
for any observer most plain to see.
The awesome result of blissful affection,
Bold the gifts, generous the protection.

With deep and tender affection,

LarryG

Love Letter No 90 - Unavoidable Love

Dear J,
So you thought I wrote for you and told me so, it should have been, I avoided writing it. Our common friend probably warned us both, she is so sweet and smart. Something to take to heart sweet one. Who would have thought there would be an unavoidable party to attend. Words so unavoidable to share. Like she wore red and I wore out the words "you're ravishing." And even the avoidable part seems unavoidable now. I keep thinking it must be getting late, something unavoidable headed this way, but the only thing unavoidable is the big smile in my heart.

With deep and tender affection,

LarryG

to bless unlocking

Dawn's light presents a precious gift,
may the gift's unlocking aid its own receiving.

Morning coffee unlocks an aroma of alertness,
may the fragrance of release awaken intuition.

Midday friends share conversation and meals,
may this unlock gifts of life.

Afternoon work has wonderful fruit,
may labor unlock creativity's best results.

Family arrival unlocks hopes for a new generation,
may your blessing unlock dreams and talents.

Evenings of sharing yield laughter and connection,
may relaxation or activity unlock new strengths.

May the depth of evening gather the beloved of the heart,
the unlocking of gentle sharing kindness begets.

Moonlight's depth and stardust reign o'er restful night,
may rest unlock the inner desires of the heart.

As the ear hears each unique tone of the wind chime,
and within the summer hum of a thousand insects the one insect
can be heard, may the deft unlocking of the moments around
the clock be received.

Is there a place (Day 66) - journal 1

Is there a place in my heart,
opposite the place in yours,
can we interlock our lives,
complete each other?

Complete a lost feeling within,
am I finally going to realize,
can things ultimately crystallize,
no weight inside gushing forth.

Turning about what I was thinking,
Someone will lock away a heart,
Someone does share the elements,
Completeness and someone, yet no.

What if... "Danny's Song"

Danny's Song
by Kenny Loggins

People smile tell me I'm the lucky one.
And we've just begun,
I think I'm gonna have a son.
He will be like him and me.
Free as a dove concieved in love.
The sun is gonna shine above.

And even though we ain't got money,
I'm so in love with ya honey
Everything will bring a chain of love.
And in the mornin' when I rise,
It brings a tear of joy to my eyes,
an tell me evry-thing is gonna be alright

Love the girl who holds the world in a paper cup, drink it up.
Love her she'll bring you luck.
And if you find she helps your mind buddy take her home.
Don't you live alone.
Try to earn what lovers own.

And even though we ain't got money,
I'm so in love with ya honey
Everything will bring a chain of love.
And in the mornin' when I rise,
brings a tear of joy to my eyes,
an tell me evry-thing is gonna be alright

-------------------------
I heard this the other day
as I was eating a bagel and thought,
what if..., what if...  What if this was me...
Remember those times when
nothing much else mattered,
except holding on to one another.
Nothing but "I'm so in love with ya honey"
mattered at all.
Is that possible? Can it still be found?

What if I believe that it's all true...

"And even though we ain't got money,
I'm so in love with ya honey
Everything will bring a chain of love.
And in the mornin' when I rise,
brings a tear of joy to my eyes,
an tell me evry-thing is gonna be alright
"
And just maybe....
What if?

Love Letter No 89 - Synonomous Love

Dear J,
Devotion to this fondness guides this infatuation. How affectionate the affliction of deep warmth and it is resorting to an attraction of extravagant degree. Such tender regard becomes earnest in love's measure of dedication. This breadth of admiration exceeded only by the beauty of the blossoming of your heart's flower in this garden of mutual repose.

With deep and tender affection,
LarryG

to bless knowing

Like a red bird's thicket of cover,
may the knowing of place harmonize
song with freedom's dance.
And like bees that explode thickly from hive
to find sources for honey production,
may gregarious behavior embed soulful
connections to awaken the yearning
heart for friendship's endowment.

Like the color of butterfly reflecting
fondly the light of presence,
may your imagination's knowing
shine on creativity for it's own sake.

As clouds that float on a comforting breeze,
may your spirit be borne into angelic presence
with the knowing of greater love.

What if... "Hello, it's me"

Hello, it's me
I've thought about us for a long, long time
Maybe I think too much but something's wrong
There's something here that doesn't last too long
Maybe I shouldn't think of you as mine

Seeing you
Or seeing anything as much as I do you
I take for granted that you're always there
I take for granted that you just don't care
Sometimes I can't help seeing all the way through

It's important to me
That you know you are free
'Cause I never want to make you change for me

Think of me
You know that I'd be with you if I could
I'll come around to see you once in a while
Or if I ever need a reason to smile
And spend the night if you think I should

It's important to me
That you know you are free
'Cause I never want to make you change for me

Think of me
You know that I'd be with you if I could
I'll come around to see you once in a while
Or if I ever need a reason to smile
And spend the night if you think I should

Think of me...
Think of me...
Think of me
-------------------------
I heard this the other day
as I was eating a bagel and thought,
what if..., what if...  I heard God saying this
to me. A simple hello, and kind word,
Does the God of all the universe want to speak to me?
To talk to me like this... to say "I've
thought about our relationship" to me.
"It's important to know you are free."
What if I believe that it's true...
What if God is imploring me with these words...
"Think of me... Think of me... Think of me..."
And just maybe....
What if?

Love Letter No 88 - Forever Love

Dear D,
Now that I know this is forever,
I spill over with divine fervor!
Together - yes!
your flips, my flops,
your socks, my shoes,
your buckle, my belt,
your sugar, my tea,
your water, my fall,
your sun, my rise,
your moon, my shine,
your touch, my stone,
your soul, my mate,
your heart, my beat,
your for, my ever.

Did you know it would
be this easy.

With deep and tender affection,

LarryG
