Consumed conference

I got an email from Ms Tiffiny asking if I would be interested in helping out with the Consumed conference in October. Consumed is for our 6th-12th graders and is going to be held in Grapevine, Hilton DFW Lakes. I will have probably 8-12 students assigned to me for the weekend. There will be fun activities, awesome worship, relevant messages and a great time as all of our campuses come together. I have been praying for God to open up avenues to allow me to work with and spend time with the older youth, and I just had to smile when I saw the email asking if i wanted to volunteer. That is God at work :) Made it to my first Rangers game of the season this past Sunday and wow what some great seats. Was only maybe 20-25 feet from Nolan Ryan and seated right next to young Conner (did not ask his last name). Conner is maybe 5 and his family has owned season tickets for those exact seats from way back before the Ballpark in Arlington came into existence in 1994. He shared his cotton candy with me and then proceeded to tell me i looked like a pirate (do rag since I was on the bike that day). I told him next time I was at a game i would wear an eye patch as well haha.

I am so blessed and loving how God has continued to use me in more and more ways in my church. I love to serve Him through my service to them.

Getting closer

Each week I get just a bit closer to being out of debt and closer to making the move nearer my church family and starting a new career in healing through massage. I look forward to getting to be more involved with the older youth in the church as well as I feel God is aligning this very thing. God has shown me so much about myself in the past two years. There are still many days I miss people from my past but i know God has a bigger and better plan more thanwhat I can imagine. I guess we shall see who is the ones in that plan when that season brings itself around.
