Update on prayer requests

Here is an update on Roger Wilson......if I understand correctly. He and his wife jenny have flown to LA and he is supposed to have surgery on Thursday. I'm not sure of all the details, but pray for them esp. on Thursday!

Fall festival was a success!

Grateful for the relationship we have in this class. God has really blessed us.

Kelly's dad's surgery went well and he is on a fast recovery.

Luke--my grandfather has not had any more problems with his skin cancer surgery.

Prayer Requests

Hey guys! I just got an email from a friend at work with 2 prayer requests that she asked me to put on our prayer list. Please pray for these people!!

Jenny Wilson's husband, Roger Wilson: About a month ago he was diagnosed with Acoustic Neuroma. He has a cancerous tumor behind his ear and the only place familiar with this rare cancer is in California. They are trying to raise money for treatment & expenses.

I don't personally know Roger, but I used to work with Jenny. They are good Christian people. She was Jenny Gilbert I think before they married. I think they live in Cordova with boys in high school there.

Also, this is from Leigh Evans:
My aunt, Jan Price was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer yesterday. Her scheduled lumpectomy revealed involved lymph nodes and they removed 2 out of 3 of the lymph panels yesterday afternoon. She is my only aunt. My mother has one living relative - her brother Terry & this is his wife of almost 40 years. She and my mom were best friends in junior high and my mom "set up" her brother & friend. :) They have been together since. Aunt Jan's 60th birthday is next month. She is a warrior & a firm believer. Her attitude is one of "either He heals me here, or heals me when He takes me home... either way I win!" (her words!!) I am blown away by her faith and confidence in the Lord. But I am also a selfish neice and want her around for many years to come! I am asking for those who believe to PRAY!

Again, I don't personally know Jan, but Leigh is a good friend. I know that they all covet our prayers. Thanks so much!!

Any women willing to make a visit?

There is a young family with 4 children that live not far from our church. The wife is a stay at home mother and should be pretty easy to catch at home. If any of you ladies would be willing to make a visit to invite them to Sunday School let me know and I'll give you names and directions. Probably take 30 minutes or less.

Buddy Walk Sunday the 17th

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to several that read this blog and contributed to Kenzlee's team .....cuz......our team is the WINNER in the Buddy Walk tomorrow! Tabitha raised over $14,000 and was the winner this year with our team "Krazee for Kenzlee". I know many of you love her very much and I am so proud of Tabitha, Greg, Jessica (she's got a club from her school coming) and the fam for all their hard work. A friend of Brandi's mom, Johnny had a mini-stroke, testing to find out cause.

Justin Caldwell's parents for their health problems. Mother having shoulder surgery soon.

Natalie Edgil's mother has breast cancer. Had surgery and is starting treatments.

PRAISE REPORTS

Jodi Harrison who has been on our prayer requests found out that he did have a mass attached to the muscle in his back. It was cancer. The cancer will be able to be removed and NO radiation treatments will be required and also the cancer hasn't spread to any other part of his body.

Sophie Corley is doing much better. The doctors have given an 85 to 90% chance of bringing her home in December.

Xander Gunter is doing fine after falling and hitting head.

Kati's untrasound was all good. It's a girl!

Katy's friend Julie Greenhaw had a miscarrage at 12 weeks. Will have to begin fertility treatments again.
Katy's uncle Bill Powell still in hospital.
Katy has ultrasound on Tuesday! Pray for baby's health and an overall good report.
Jamie's mother is having 2nd knee surgery tomorrow morning. Please pray everything goes okay.
Jamie, Doree, and kids will be travelling to the mountains this weekend. Please pray we will have a safe trip.

Amy Pace-a 10 month old baby in my room at daycare fell out of his carseat and hit pavement. He woke up just to throw up and was unconcious. Still in hospital.
Student has been adopted in Heidi's class. Mother having a hard time. Ready to give child back to the system.

Upward Evaluation Saturday

Upward evaluations will be Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 10 am to 1 pm. All that can, please come out and help. We could use help in taking up money, sizing, and the evaluation itself. If you can help, please try to be there by 9:20 am. I know many are busy....just come if you can.

Thinking of You All

Hey guys!!! I have been missing you all very much!! Things are getting much better! The babies and I have an apartment now in Oakman near my dad, so he can still help with afterschool care. The kiddos are doing much better in school. Brodie is working well through his anger and Hailey had all As and Bs last Friday!!! Yay!!! Mule Day

Lacey's Dad is planning on bringing his mule and wagon to our house after the parade today. He should be here around 1:00. Thanks for working that out Lacey!

Directions to Goforth's

If you are coming from Jasper and going straight to our house:
1.Corridor X from Jasper (toward Tupelo, Mississippi).
2.When you cross the Marion County line take the next exit. Exit number is 34 and the sign will say Glen Allen and Natural Bridge. This is Highway 233.
3.Turn left on Highway 233 and go 2.6 miles to stop sign.
4.Turn right on Highway 118. Go 3.9 miles and turn left on county highway 31.
5.Our driveway is 7/10 of a mile on the right. Drive is paved.


If you go to Mule Day first and come to our house from Winfield.
1. Go on highway 118 toward Jasper.
2. After going about 3 miles look for B & D Quick stop on the right and Highway 129 on the left.
3. Continue on Highway 118 for about another 1/2 mile and county road 31 will be on the right. After turning right on highway 31 our driveway is 7/10 of a mile on the right. Paved driveway.

I have another prayer request for Nate and Mallory Corley, the couple I put on the prayer list a couple of weeks ago. Mallory is delivered the babies this week, and they are all still in South Carolina. One baby is doing okay, the other one is in really bad shape. She is on the ventilator 100%, heart issues, all levels are off, circulation problems may lead to amputation. Nate is in SC with his family so he's had to take off work without pay. Please lift up this family in prayer especially these twins.
