I have neglected my blog for awhile now and I miss it. I have been trying to learn a lot of things about etsy and not only is it confusing but it does take a lot of time.LOL I have learned a few things but there is so much more to learn.
I have also opened a facebook and I really do not understand this!!! Some tricks I don't think you can teach an old dog and this is one of them.LOL Maybe in time but I don't know.
And then there is my garden. Wowzers!! It takes a lot of time. And right now it is sooooo hot that I feel as if I am having a heat stroke everytime I go gather the veggies.LOl
But I am trying to get everything on some sort of schedule so that my blog doesn't suffer. Hang in there with me. I love my followers and I love getting comments on my posts. Until next time...

Tribute to George Jones
I love George Jones!! I have always loved his music and the feeling that he puts into each song he sings
Most of you know my niece, Brittany. She is my sidekick! She helps me with housework that I can't do, cuts my hair and has stayed with me since a very little girl.
When she was about 3, she loved Rascal Flatts. She told me that he was much better than that old George Jones and made so much more money. Well I told her George Jones drank up more money than Rascal Flatts would ever make. Don't get me wrong, I like Rascal Flatts but he is not George Jones.
Then came Randy Travis and I also like Randy Travis but we went through the same discussion with me telling her once more there would never be another George Jones!!
Next came New Kids on the Block. Well she swore they would be around long after George kicked the bucket.LOL Once again I reminded her that George Jones would be around forever, long after New Kids on the Block.
And finally it was Garth Brooks. He was the best. Better than George would ever be. Well Garth did make his fortune and his name in music, but he is not George Jones.
So finally she admitted OK!! so George Jones is a legend and I am right.
Then her younger brother came up and said that Hank Williams Jr. was the best. George would never be as good as him. Well Britt just told him not to argue with me because I am always right.LOLOLOL
We went to see George Jones last night in Pigeon Forge. My brother, Terry, bought tickets for us. And he is getting older and his voice is fading a little but he is still the most loved country music singer of all time. He had trouble with some of the faster songs but he still rocks!!
The place was packed with another sell out and after he finished with He Stopped Loving Her today and I Don't Need No Rocking Chair, he was given a standing ovation which he so well deserved.
I know all the country music singers have left their mark in history and there are a lot that I love to hear sing but there is and always will be only ONE George Jones!! Here's to you George!!! Until next time...

My Kitchen Swap
I belong to a great group on etsy called the Old Farmhouse Gathering. This is a group of artisans on etsy that join forces to promote everyone's etsy shop. There is a lot to learn but it is so much fun and the girls really are very good at helping newbies learn all the tricks.

Is It Just Me?
For the last two weeks I have felt like crawling in bed and staying there. I have had no energy and my muscles ache. I even went to the doctor because it wouldn't go away and he couldn't find anything wrong. And today I woke up and feel fine.
Yesterday I talked to another girl who has asthma and she said she felt like a fish out of its bowl. And basiically that is how I have felt. It cooled off yesterday and that's the reason I think that was what was wrong with me but I never dreamed heat could do that kind of damage.
My doctor tells me to stay in but my gosh I can't hibernate just because it's too hot. I had to take care of the veggies in the garden. Green beans don't understand breathing problems.LOL And I got up early so that I would be finished before it reached the nineties. So has anyone else suffered from this? Until next time...
