I don't think anyone can understand how I'm feeling now.

Maybe it's because I'm too free. Been 2 weeks since I got back from Korea and the days there still haunt me. Regret not knowing more people (be it Koreans or foreigners in hostel). Regret not going to Cabi Bay. Regret not going to Vivaldi. Regret not going to Gwacheon Science Museum. Regret not waking up earlier to explore more places. Regret being too weak during the trip. Regretting much with all these stupid regrets!

I sincerely miss Korea. Not just the cute boys (yeah maybe that's one of the factors...). I feel attached to Korea and Koreans after these 18 days. Met so many interesting people who I might just remember for years, most importantly warm-hearted people who are extremely friendly to you when you feel pretty hopeless in a place you're not familiar in. A pat on the shoulder, a genuine smile, a warm hug, encouraging words. Maybe it's my love for Korean culture that turns me into a Korea fangirl.

Crazy over Kpop since 2005, start to appreciated Korean culture after watching variety shows in 2007, learnt Korean in 2007, managed to visit Korea before I turn 21 in 2011, I'm a very lucky person. There seemed to be more reasons for me to go back Korea for a longer stay, not solely just for a vacation. I know I want to be back there to immerse myself into their culture.

Maybe I should head back there for Korean studies after Chapman. 2013, 23 years old. If I'm still thinking about the days in Korea after 6 months... Shall decide again.

*okay starts saving up now

13th June 2011

Cabbed to Gimpo Airport early in the morning and reached Jeju at 8.25am. Went to their Tourist Information Counter and spoke to this lady whose Chinese is rather limited. She's very helpful and friendly and there were some really funny conversations. I was trying to ask her where the Windmills are located at in Jeju, in Chinese it's known as 风车 (note the 'car' word in Chinese). She didn't really know what I was trying to say so I went to check out the Korean words for that in my dictionary app. She LOL-ed once she saw the words.

"I thought you were saying about a certain transport. OH I SEE!" Her reaction was hilarious, she found herself embarrassing hahaha.

And so she helped us out with the booking of the cab for the next day and it's around 120k for the whole day.

Cabbed to Yongduam Rock for our 1st sightseeing location.

That's the "Dragon Head" we are supposed to see.

Asked one of the kids here to take a polaroid photo for us, and that one kid asked another kid and the whole group of boys are LOOKING at us while we are taking photos. Guessed the kid didn't really know how to use a polaroid cause he looked flustered, and without saying 1,2,3 he snapped a photo immediately. Alan's first reaction; FUCK! LOL Omg the kid got damn shocked and looked at us, and his friends all started laughing. Could see that the boy was really stunned so I thought him "It's okay it's okay" but that didn't really help...

Before we left the kids saw us again and I could hear them speaking in Korean "Ahhh those ladies! The one who shouted "FUCK!" when we took a photo" HAHAHA OMG EMBARRASSING, TIME TO RUN.

Cabbed to Loveland next, talked a little with the taxi driver and he asked us if we are booking the cab for our next day. He offered us 80k and we agreed! Woohoo saved 40k yo meow meow.

Shall just post some photos on Loveland.. 19+ yo ahem

OOPS

Cabbed AGAIN to Hallasan for our mountain climbing. Taxi uncle sent us to Yeongsil Trail, the shortest trail. Takes around 1 and a half hour to reach the peak. Climbing starts!

My stamina SUCKS. Climbed for a while and I felt like I'm dying urgh. I think I have the stamina of a 30 years old lady :( Wore nyonya-liked sandals and it felt dangerous while I got higher. Everyone were in sportshoes EXCEPT FOR ME. Lots of people were commenting about my shoes like "Why did you wear this pair of shoes for climbing?" :( :( I didn't know it's that tough........

But anyway, a Ahjumma was making her way down and she saw me in my shoes. She came over to grab my hands and started saying "Haiyo it's okay for you to climb up now but it will be tough when you are coming down later.... How? Please take care" patted my hands and back and went back down again. Stood there and couldn't react LOL what a random encounter!

We got REALLY high but didn't go all the way up to the peak cause we were seriously dying already. Rested at the restpoint, the view is enough to kill us!

Our resting point.

This kid randomly walked in front of us and started sitting on the ropes. His family was behind so I asked him to sit beside me. "Look at the camera there, 1, 2, 3!" And again, I showed the peace sign and he raised up his hand after mine. Hahahhaha cute Byungchul!

His family came and we asked his mum to take a photo of us.

I want to ride on the fluffy clouds.

We took like half of the time to reach the entrance and decided to take the cab down. The cab drivers all were out to cheat our money so we decided to walk down the roads to the bus stop or whatever. Sat at some toilet area to drink first and we saw some guys in a van. One particular guy was looking at us while we sat there and I seriously had the thought to ask them if they could give us a lift.

Me: "Hey.. do you think we should ask the guys to give us a lift?"
Alan: "Siao ah, they offer you dare to sit meh!!!"

Like what I said, Koreans do look unfriendly so I was thinking ah.. better not. So yeah we walked down the roads.

Walked for a while and saw a van passing by us. "PLEASE HELP USSSSSS" but the van just passed by. After a while we saw the van we saw earlier on driving down. The driver was looking at us and I think all four of us gave the same expression..

The driver looked at us, and signaled us to board his van. ZOO OH MY GOD YES HELL HOLY BOM BI BI YES WE ARE SAVED!!!

WE WERE DAMN BLOODY GLAD so we were bowing and thanking them before we boarded the van. It was messy but it was big enough to fit the 4 of us. There was another Gwangjoo guy in the van who was a tourist as well, only found out about that when we reached the bus stop.

Driver: "You girls didn't take the cab cause it was too expensive right?"
Me: "Yes!!!! Thank you so much seriously!"

Hahahah they knew it! Our pathetic looks helped ASSARABIYA. Started offering food and snacks cause we were really really glad to be in a van instead of walking down.

It took us around 30-40 minutes to reach the bus stop OH MY GOD. There were a lot of curves as well. Can you imagine what will happened to us if we really walked down....?? Omg we are a bunch of lucky girls, I love such fate.

The guy on the right was the one I saw before we walked down the roads.

Reached the bus stop and the uncle told us he had to let us alight here. Before he left he said..

"BEAUTIFUL JEJU!!"

YES BEAUTIFUL JEJU! THANK YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE!

Waited for bus to Seogwipo area with this old couple, nice people again. The uncle was helping us to communicate with 2 bus drivers and we managed to reach our hostel after shopping at E-mart (omg seaweed lolol).

Arrived at Jeju Hiking Inn. The owner obviously is a very impatient guy, nice overall but his tone sounds sarcastic at times. His attitude is really different when he's talking to us and the Americans. Damn.....

But anyway Jeju Hiking Inn is the worst hostel I've been to, flies on the bed and smelly toilet. People who read this blog, please don't visit this hostel. Do not recommend this hostel at all even though the hostel guy is quite nice *Ahem*

Dinner at this black pork BBQ restaurant, LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.

Tango-ed my mum and cried a little cause I missed my family + Jeju Hiking Inn's dirtiness made me miss my house even more. Now my brothers are making this the joke of the 2011 and they even spread it to all my relatives. Fuck it, shall avoid them as much as possible lol.

Day 2 of Jeju trip shall continue again! USS with Alan, her bf, Ei and Min later on. Shit I've not decided what I should wear zzzzz

10th June 2011

We all woke up at around 9am+ to get ready for our next hostel, Seoulwise Guesthouse at Hongdae!

Reached at around 12pm (?) and the hostel owner Young came down to help us out with the lugguages. Jingyi happened to stone outside the van without helping Alan with her stuffs and Alan shouted "Help me out lah fuck!" Young heard that and went to help Alan with her stuffs immediately LOL AWKWARD. Flustered Alan apologized and explained herself but the awkwardness didn't really disappear HAHAHA.

{Photo taken from Seoulwise Guesthouse FB page}
The room we stayed in! Comfy, a little small but it's clean and I love it!

We rested for a while and made our way to YG Entertainment. Young was being extremely nice and offered us a ride there cause it's not really easy to find the place. Seriously, such an awesome guy!

SAY BIGBANG!!!

Security guard was standing near the building and there were few other fangirls standing outside; 3-4 Americans and 2 Korean students. He asked us who we came to see and I told him G-dragon and TOP. "Oh they are not in now". :(

And then I came across this note outside GS25 which is Korea's most common convenient store. "If you vandalize, Bigbang is mine" LOL-ed when I saw this note. All entertainment companies looked really dirty cause fangirls are so used to vandalizing the walls nearby. Glad that YG is different!

Stayed there for about an hour or so, then we took the train to Mapogu area to collect tickets for Super Idols Big 3 concert which we were supposed to go the next day.

Our lunch; Can't remember the noodles + Kalguksoo. Kalguksoo, my favourite! The other girls are not really fancy of it cause it's too seafood-ish, but I love the soup so much omggggg. The aunties working in it were really friendly btw. Ordered some Tuna Kimbab and omg my girls were so obsessed with it LOL. Requested the auntie to remove veggies from the kimbab, ordered another roll yumyum.

HELL YEAH WORLD CUP STADIUMMMMM. AND YAY 2002 FIFA WORLDCUP EXHIBITIONNNN.

The staffs inside explained to us that we have roughly 20 minutes to look around. Think they had to prepare for a match later on. We were allowed to enter for free (YAY).

ECSTATIC YOOOOO. Got up the stairs within seconds to snap photos of the stadium omg. I love visiting such places when it's empty, magnificenttttttttt.

An extremely touchy Security Oldman getting thrilled seeing us, started getting touchy and was saying stuffs like he would love to visit Singapore and he hopes someone can bring him around when he's there. Hi uncle I can understand you but I don't want to understand you. Sorry Sam for leaving you with the stupid uncle, I lost my mind once I saw the stadium :( We all pretended like we don't understand Korean well and just said bye to him very quickly. "You girls, all very beautiful!" Omg desperate uncle bye.

2002 FIFA, No Kisungyong boohoo.

Jumping shots again hhahaha.

Alan super pro in jumping shots now LOL.

Trained to Gasan Digital Complex with hope of finding IT malls but no Koreans knew what we were saying. As in.. they have never heard of IT malls in this area. Digital Complex my foot, it's actually more known for having fashionable malls instead of IT malls. In that case WHY THE HELL DO YOU NAME IT AS GASAN DIGITAL COMPLEX?

Can't remember what we did next, think we all just went back to hostel. Didn't do anything much :(

OH SHIT I REMEMBERED. We lost our ways while heading to our new hostel and asked directions from this Ahjumma. Sam went to talk to her while I was still a distance away, got closer and I was thinking "Oh shit please no no no..."

She's. Drunk. According to her she drank "a cup of soju". I believe sial, the smell of soju on her smells like a whole bottle of soju.

And so she was looking at the address I had in my phone and she helped us called Young to ask for directions. Somehow and somewhat, it ended up as a quarrel between her and Young on the phone WTH. Just like what you will see in drama;

Her: "How could you leave this 4 ladies here in the foreign country? I'm a mother and I've daughters and I can't bear seeing them roaming on the streets! You can't live like this, you seriously can't live like this! Humans can't behave like this!"

OMG I JUST WANT TO GET BACK TO HOSTEL WHY DID IT BECOME A DRAMA... But anyway I figured out that the Ahjumma thought we did not interact with Young before and she thought we were deceived by Young or something. The quarrel got worse and I quickly asked her if I could speak on the phone with Young.

Him: "Who the hell is that? Why are you girls with her?????"
Omg he sounded really pissed and I got so scared :( Obviously he wasn't too happy about it cause he got scolded for NO APPARENT REASON.

Young told us to get to Exit 2 NOW, and hanged the phone on Sam. This is bad. And the 3 stupid girls quickly tried to leave but the Ahjumma was still talking to me.

Her: "You know.. Not all Koreans are like that guy. That guy is a bad guy. I will recommend you not to head to his hostel. And please do not think that all Koreans are bad people." And then she gave me the really :( face like I'm going to get sold to foreign country, and she came to hug me while chanting "How how how?" OMG. STRONG SOJU SMELL URGH. I know she's sincere and really nice but.. please don't worry for me. I wonder if she still remembers this incident though lolol.

All thanks to this, we ran across Hongdae streets at like 8pm cause we didn't want Young to wait for long. My jeans were freaking loose and they almost dropped. Young said the lady was still calling him several times after we left. Oops :x

Young: "Please do not talk to drunk ladies again" LOL

11th June 2011
Wore the H&M dress I bought in Korea, preparing to see my boyfriends performing later in the night. We explored Hongdae shopping area, bought some shoes and rings. Oh mention on the rings... The salesperson brought us to the "main" shop cause they didn't have the stock for it. Talked to him a little bit and..... He said he was a 1994-er/1993-er. OMG SO SHOCKING CAUSE HE LOOKS MATURE. That's only 17/18 WHAT THE HELL I HARDLY SEE 17/18 BOYS HERE LOOKING LIKE THAT. He's not good looking okay, but ya just very shocking to see such mature boys in Korea.

Reached our hostel area at 4pm to clear our hands of the bags we were carrying, went to Allkpop and WHAT.THE.HOLY.SHIT.

THE CONCERT WE ARE GOING LATER ON IS CANCELLED. GODDAMNNIT.

FUCKING PISSED WHEN I SAW THE NEWS. WANTED TO GO THE CONCERT BADLY CAUSE THERE'S BEAST AND JAEBEOM AND WTF IS THIS. Plan failed like mad, got so pissed I just want to rip the organizer apart.

What can I do right, shut up and move on loh boohoo. Okay Kangnam for Se7en's chicken shop gogogo!

Took us a while to find the shop, was looking for the correct person to ask for directions. Passed by this guy who reminds me of Ahnan (the Singapore Ahbeng actor, but this guy definitely looks better lah duh) and I was telling Alan omg no way we can't ask him. Then we asked this other tall and bulky dude but he didn't know the way. So the Ahnan guy walked towards us and goes "Why why why why where are you going?"

Gave him the shop name, he naver-ed it instantly, got a China lady who's working with him to talk to us and he even called the restaurant to ask for directions. What's best, he brought us to the shop himself!

WAH SHOCKING RIGHT, Koreans looked so unfriendly and unapproachable but most of them are kind!!!

He asked us why we wanted to visit that shop so badly and I told him it's Se7en's shop. "Se7en? Stars visit that shop? Our shop has stars as well!" "Who went to your shop?" "Erm... Gagman?" LOL wanted to ask more but we reached the shop shortly. I love comedians!!

But oh well, Se7en's shop!

Menu stated 2 chillies beside, (there were 3 chillies one) and this almost took Jingyi and Alan's lips away.

Jingyi ended up as Joker. I swear it looked even funnier in real life.

Lots of artistes' photos hanged around the place, we were sitting beside these.

Come say hi to my boyfriend.

And my other boyfriend. (Alan and Sam can't read this)

Proceeded to the counter to pay for our bill, Alan was squatting down beside this couple who's eating and she almost fell. A little chaos and I saw the guy's mouth turning to :o when Alan almost fell LOL. "OHHHHH" hahahah omg how embarrassing it is to fall beside a couple who's eating their dinner. Just, directly, beside. Sorry Alan I don't mean to laugh at you, the couple's reactions were just too epic.

Tree full of artistes' polaroid photos, I want to steal them!!

Cabbed to COEX to find Alan's Toms shoes. Hostel last.

12th June 2011
Yongsan for IT stuffs, Jjimjilbang (OHMYGOD).

Collected the keys for our lockers for our 1st ever Jjimjilbang experience, took off our shoes, went into the lift to Sauna, stepped out of Sauna, BUMPED INTO NAKED LADIES WTF.

WHEN I SAY NAKED I MEAN LIKE YOU KNOW... FULLY NAKED.

They can be totally naked and they don't mind sitting in front of mirror while drying their hair.

CULTURE SHOCK TO MAX. We couldn't handle this AT ALL and changed our clothes in the toilet and went to the unisex areas. Koreans are not too pleased to see us changing in toilets when you are actually supposed to be changing at their changing rooms (WHICH IS IN THE PUBLIC). Sorry lah too shocking for us please.

So in the end we didn't dare to step into the Sauna (the public bathhouse) and went back to our hostel for an early night. Jeju-do the next day yo!

YEAHHH HARDCORE SHOPPINGGG IN MYEONGDONGGG

My girls were all eggcited about H&M in Myeongdong, but oops we stayed at Everysing and SPAO for 2-3 hours cause I was reacting slowly with my headache and fever.

My husband Yunho <3

Oops paisehfying, but heheehhe WHY NOT RIGHT. Kind of sucky that there's no TVXQ (WHEN I SAY TVXQ I MEAN 5 MEMBERS).

WOOHOO chiong to H&M straight after buying my SPAO stuffs. Spent around 1 hour+ looking at clothes there, got really giddy after paying for my stuffs. Blacked out for roughly 15 minutes and I really have no idea why. Guess it was the weather in Korea and I couldn't really adapt to it; hot in the day and cold at night. I was wearing a cardigan in the day and I think it got really stuffy for me. Alan decided to shop for a while more so Sam, Jingyi and I went to 안동찜닭 (Sam's boss's recommendation) for our lunch.

RECHARGED AFTER THE LUNCH. TOTALLY. Probably one of the nicest lunch we had AWWWWWWWW <3

SALIVA DRIPPING WHILE BLOGGING.

Random much, my second favourite boy in TVXQ.

Alan joined us after 45 minutes-1 hour and we started our official shopping craze!

Not much photos of that, but we managed to bump into a lady who had bandage over her chin and head. Even Koreans were amazed at the sight when she walked past us. PLASTIC SURGERY WOOHOO! Pushed Sam and Jingyi to a shop she entered. "She's from China" Oh woah........

Beanpole, G-dragon yo!

Stupid Snoopy dancing in front of us when we were in front of BSX.

Passed by this Frisbee (Apple shop in Korea) and Alan wanted to take a look at Ipad prices. This salesman came to Alan and was trying to figure out what she asked. Tall, Japanese look, looks rather fierce initially but when we started speaking English he looked really puzzled. And so Alan was asking about some tax-refund thing and I realize speaking in Korean would be easier.

Me: Do you have.. tax refund? Tax-free...?
Him: OMMO YOU GAVE ME A SHOCK. Why didn't you speak Korean when you know how to?!
(ehhh cause I didn't really know what tax-free is in Korean..?" can't remember what I replied thought)
Him: I got so flustered when I heard English! Aish JINJJA *with the hand gesture* (and he went to the counter to calculate the tax-refund amount)

BLOODY CUTE. Should have snapped a picture of him cause I think his flustered face was so worth looking again ARGH. Went back to the store 2-3 times after that day (NOT TO FIND HIM OKAY) but he wasn't working there for those few days OH IM VERY SHHHAD.

No idea what it is called, shall name it Tornado Potato!

Only Korea has this Bulgogi Burger in Macdonalds! Stupid girls trying to bet about this certain drink we saw outside the Macdonalds.. yeah random much hahaha.

TA-DA, our stuffs all combined together for just a day of shopping!

7th June 2011
Fangirl-ing time! Took the train to Ttutseom area and went to find JYP and SM entertainment companies. Didn't manage to find SM though oh welllll...

Found JYP after walking for a certain distance + cab, went to the nearby restaurant for our brunch. Lots of signatures there, such as Yoojaesuk's, 2pm's (with Jaebeom), miss A, Kimjoongkook and some others who I can't really remember.

JYEAHHHHHHHHHH SAMGYEOPSALLLLL

We went to Dunkin' Donuts which is just opposite of JYP building and nuah for a while.

Crazy fangirls vandalizing the poster.

PARK SHIHOO'S AUTOGRAPH OMG I LOVE YOU BABY.

Found our way to CUBE...

Don't really understand why fangirls love to vandalize this much.

Happy birthday Dongwoon baby <3

Took a photo of that once we got out of the lift (it was at level 2/3), got stopped by a pretty cute guy who asked us why we were here, and we took the lift to level 4/5.

And ZOMG we heard music playing out loud and we could see sneakers outside the practice room! BUT SHIT I HAVE NO GUTS TO ENTER THE ROOM. It could be the trainees but omg WHO KNOWS RIGHT. But anyway after struggling with our minds, we decided to leave :(

Couldn't find SM entertainment so we went over to Harunohee Cafe which we have planned to visit cause of it's Strawberry Shortcake. The nice taxi uncle even called the cafe to ask for directions. But it was embarrassing cause we arrived, the ladyboss was prepared to see this 4 Singapore girls hahahaha.

The ladyboss was really friendly but SHIT. STRAWBERRY.SHORTCAKE.IS.NOT.AVAILABLE. She explained that it's not strawberry season now and strawberry shortcake will only be available next year. ZOMG NEXT YEAR? NO WAYYYYYY :'(

Since we have no other choices, she recommended us Patbingsoo and we decided on ordering another waffle with chocolate syrup. LESIGH MY SHORTCAKE BUT WHAT TO DO?!

We asked for more syrup, she agreed and came back with a whole plate of chocolate syrup for us. Yahoo LOL.

OH LESIGH.

The decorations in the shop are really pretty though. Would die for those walls.

She came to talk to us and read our itinerary briefly. I thought she looked pretty young in person but she was already 30/32. And once again she was impressed that almost all of us could speak and understand Korean. She could speak Japanese but not really English :( A very nice lady and her shop is awesome with those cute notebooks and stickers lol.

With Minjoo unnie ^_^

She told us that we could stroll to the Children's Park first if we're intending to go Lotte Shop area. "5-10 minutes walk, you can enjoy the scenery" Well actually we were pretty scared when Koreans told us it's a 5-10 minutes walk to our destination. It always end up being a 20-25 minutes walk LOL. But her words proved to be correct, and the scenery was pretty nice while we were on the way to Lotte Shop.

Passed by Children's Grand Park and Jingyi and I were freaking random, came out with the idea of taking photos with the kids who were sitting on the bench. "Jingyi gogogo you go first"

"1, 2, 3". The green shirt boy was being uncooperative! So it's my turn...

"Hey kids, look there. 1, 2, 3!"

HEHEH LOOK AT MY PHOTO, JINGYI LOSER.

Konkuk University, Dongwoon's school <3 And so we reached Lotte Shop, walked around, went to Rodeo Street, bought some shoes, and headed to Ttutseom Hangang Park for the night.

I LOVE FOUNTAINS. Flew to the fountains once I see it from far. <3

Went up some tunnel thing (?) to slack and Sam ended up dancing to Fiction. HAHAHAHAH WTH.

BYONG.

8th June 2011
Trained to KTO in noon to ask about Lotte Duty Free shop.

Reached Lotte Duty Free Shop in Euljiro, had our lunch at the food court, shopped around and went out to their Star Avenue corner.

This thing is freaking cool. It's dark initially but once you placed your hands inside the whole area would light up WOOHOO!

Fail jump shot lah stupid girls. Hahahah

And so we decided to watch Nanta at Myeongdong area, and according to the lady at KTO it's VERY near. "Around 5 minutes" (REMEMBER THE 5 MINUTES CURSE I MENTIONED EARLIER ON?) Didn't know which way to walk to so we asked around. A salesperson in a handphone shop led us to the wrong way, but luckily we decided to ask another working guy and we reached Myeongdong safely! AND YES IT'S A 5 MINUTES WALK <3 We were hungry few hours after the lunch at Lotte, roamed around and found this Naengmyun shop with lots of students = CHEAP.

Naengmyun, Jingyi's favourite.

Sam hated veggies but she managed to eat a lot of this cause it simply tasted amazing with the sesame oil+veggies+BBQ pork that came with the set. WULALA.

BBQ Pork, meat=our best friend.

Time for NANTA!

No photos were allowed when the show starts. Love the show! And towards the end they were having some competition between the blue and red team and the Nanta casts left the stage, walked over to the audience to look for teammates. Shit tried my best to avoid as much as possible but we were sitting at the side (easier to pull out). I could see the guy at the corner of my eyes standing near to us, and I was just thinking "Okay just a look". FUCK IT THAT ONE LOOK BROUGHT ME UP TO THE STAGE _|_

Awkward much, the female cast asked me where I'm from when I got up the stage. "I'm from Singapore." "Oh Singapore!! NI HAO NI HAO!" (FINALLY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS SINGAPOREAN CAN SPEAK CHINESE!!!!) I was asked to wrap some dumplings with cabbage. Grabbed one dumpling skin, scooped some cabbage onto it and pinched it shut. Got really nervous (hoped I didn't look like a loser on stage :( ) and the casts left the stage for a while, leaving 4 audiences on the stage. OMG AWKWARD MAX. My team lost (I THINK?), held hands with the other audiences, bowed and left the stage. Got a wet tissue from the female cast and continued to watch my show again. They gave me a coupon and I went out to collect my souvenier from the gift shop.

I'm in the purple dress. Hahahha

And awkward much again cause when I went toilet all could recognize me and they were all smiling at me. ZZZZZZZZZZZ Got pulled up stage by Sachoom in Singapore, and now Nanta. GREAT EXPERIENCES HUH

9th June 2011
Last night at Bong House before we fly to Seoulwise Guesthouse! Discussed a while and figured out that we should head to Dongdaemun for a second try. Told them we should head to Hello APM!, the prices of clothes there should suit us more.

Brunch at Hyehwa area, remembered the guy working there being rather cute (okay not the main point....), and Sam finally found her favourite food in Korea!

Kimchi fried rice!

And yeah Hello APM! after our food, went to the basement to look for clothes and came across this guys apparels shop.

We were just looking at the shop which is located in the middle, and saw this guy with weird moustache sitting opposite the shop, using his laptop. Was thinking to myself "Definitely not a friendly guy, omg just LOOK at that moustache and the guailan face"

We were roaming in the shop and he came over to ask if we need any help. I was sitting at the coach and he was just standing there, looking at us with a rather puzzled look. Figured out that I should speak in Korean to amaze him...

Me: "Do you know how to speak in English?"
Him: "Oh no...." *stones for a while "OH your Korean is pretty good huh?"
Me: "Oh yeah we've learnt in Singapore.. I can only speak a little bit"
Him: "OH YOU SPEAK GOOD KOREAN!"

And yes all the conversation started LOL. He told us he thought we were from China cause he heard us speaking in Chinese, but we spoke in English as well so he was thinking which country we were from exactly.

Him: "Our clothes are all from Korea, Hongkong, Japan, no made in China." Lol zzzzz

He took some tops and started matching them with other pants, hell the salespeople are really fast when it comes to matching clothes, especially guys. He "modeled" for some clothes and Alan took photos of his outfits and showed her boyfriend. Got so freaked out cause he's really skinny and he was like "yeah I know I'm skinny..." STOMACH, SO, BLOODY, FLAT.

Standard, "So you can speak English, Chinese, and now Korean? What's about Japanese?" Don't really understand why they always add Japanese after mentioning that 3 languages, but I was thinking of picking up Japanese after mastering Korean.

He was really funny and I suggested to take a photo together with him before we left the shop.

Standard ah, I find it awkward to like stand there so I showed the peace sign, and he did the same after that. Same thing happened to the Insadong neoprint shop guy hahahah (the standard Korean pose yo). He asked to look at the photo we took and commented..

Him: "Wah... Don't I look like a model?"
(Without hesitation I replied)
Me: "No." SHORT.AND.SWEET. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.
Him: "YAAA (in the korean style) you said you don't speak Korean well but you understand this!"
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA and he got really excited omg his look was priceless HAHAHAHAH SHIT I WISHED I COULD VIDEO THAT DOWN.

And I'm still pretty disturbed by his moustache so..

Me: *pointing to Jingyi "My friend thinks your moustache is..."
(Jingyi muzzled me using her smelly hand)
Him: "Why why why? Why why why? Strange? Strange?" (No joke he seriously sounded excited when I mentioned his moustache HAHAHAH)
Me: "AHHH no.. she thinks your moustache is special."
Him: "OH REALLY? You feel that, you feel that?" *constantly touches his moustache*

He repeats his words for at least 2 times when he gets thrilled. Funny max.

Didn't want the same tragedy to happen again, so I asked his name and age.

(thinks for a while)
Him: "M.S.... Myungsoon. I'm a 1985-er"
OPPA YA! Okay I didn't say that out but it's obvious that he's older.

Oh Koreans have a lot of gestures as well. The love to do the "blah blah blah" hand gesture when they are complementing on my Korean speaking skill. Such as "Woah you speak good Korean" + the hand gesture. I only remembered my teachers doing that to me when I speak A LOT in class. Same gesture, different meaning _|_

Left his shop and he patted my shoulders before we left. Random but I felt the need to mention this cause I've never met salespeople in Singapore who do such things. Koreans are really comfortable with patting, hugging and holding stranger's hands. OF COURSE THEY DON'T DO IT RANDOMLY. Will talk about more of such incidents later on.

We went to higher levels to look for clothes and reached a level with ALL SALESMEN. Omg crazy shit it's freaking empty so they were just trying to talk to you (or I would say flirt) when you passed their shops. "Hi what's your name, how old are you, where are you from?" "80 years old." "80 years old?!?!" HAHAHAH

Stopped by this shop with a pretty boy and a pretty much average looking guy. It was located a certain distance away from ALL the salesmen (that corridor has just that 2 guys) so it was not that stressed to be looking around in that shop. Talked a little, both guys were tall and I asked the average guy for his age. "I'm a 1990-er" ...... HUH OUR AGE?! I gave him the HUH?! face and he was like "Yeah same age..." Then the pretty boy commented "I'm a 1987-er.. I'm your Oppa" ......... *AWKWARD SILENCE* We looked at him and said "Okay..." and he was like erhh....... okay and continued talking about the shirts. LOL we are definitely not comfortable with calling guys Oppa.. Wth if you are in Singapore and you go around calling people "GorGor", it means you are 1. Secondary School Girls 2. Ahlian. But well that pretty guy was quite hot and he reminded me of 2pm Junsu (the hotter version).

Still couldn't get over the fact that the guy is 1990-er so I asked again "You're really a 1990-er?" then he said "yeah" Gave him a frown + a super doubtful face without saying anything. "Why? Why? Why?" HAHAHHA Panic mode+repeat continuously HAHAHA. Okay just wanted to tease him, he didn't really look old but he was tall and mature looking.

Bought clothes from them, then passed by this guy who was really enthusiastic. Kept telling us how cheap his clothes were and was a little aggressive, not really keen of buying from him cause the clothes are not very cheap. We left after he talked for like 5-10 minutes, his expression wasn't that pleased. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ hate such people.

Had enough of shopping so we left and bumped into this 4-D theatre. 10000won for 4 people (if I didn't remember wrongly) so we went to took the ride.

Took the Snow Coaster (the second one from the top row) and the girls screamed their heads off in the theatre LOLOL. The seats were vibrating LIKE CRAZY and it felt damn funny cause... I guess I don't have to say out cause it will be a little embarrassing LOL. But anyway, pretty fun and worth trying out!

Noraebang next! Planned to visit the Noraebang at Dongdaemun but we decided to just go back to Hyehwa area for our singing session. Love Noraebang omg I hoped my voice was better that night. Screw you cough + fever + flu :(

HIGH HIGH, I'M SO HIGHH

Then we went to our hostel Bong House and asked to book a maxi cab for our way to our next hostel Seoulwise Guesthouse the next day.

Bong House is.. okok I guess. Location is not too bad, but I don't think I would want to stay here in the future. Mr Bong (the hostel owner) is a pretty friendly guy, but his English is not really good and he tends to be a little forgetful.. But it's all good.

Okay more posts later on.......................
