Well...it's exactly a month since I got back from PLKN...and I'm lost!
I have yet to decide which course and college to further my studies. Taylor's Diploma in Hotel/Tourism Management OR Taylor's Business Foundation OR Foundation in Arts at HELP.
There are so many factors to take into consideration i.e. course fees, career prospects, campus area, syllabus bla bla bla....
Taylor's Diploma in Hotel/Tourism Management starts on the 15th this month, TBF on the 20th. HELP punya Foundation in Arts start on the 1st of September.
I had my first driving lesson today. Damn fun...drove all the way to Bukit Jalil. Not easy to change lanes on highways. Haha...naik bukit masih boleh tahan.
Well...I've been really stressed up lah and still am stressed up. Haha...I'm the only 5s1 2008 guy who isn't studying. Put Syl and Angela who are in PLKN aside. I dunno I dunno I dunno.....
Hotel Management is 90% practical...which is what I like...I don't really like to study unless it's something I'm really interested in...Business is almost all theory...but I don't mind studying that.
Oh yeah...to add to my last post about my PLKN life. I also donated blood. Haha. 2 bags of blood sucked out of my tiny system. At first...they took our bloods and did tests on our blood. My blood is clean! So I was eligible to donate. Firstly, the nice nurse would wrap up your arm to get your veins sticking out, then she would take a huge straw shaped needle and poke it into a vein...and hot blood will ooze out into the bag. Haha. It was very ticklish! I was laughing almost the whole way and Lester squeezed my blood bag and I could feel the blood going back into the body. Gross, but yeah, it was an experience.
College ah....................
Please ignore my lousy English. Not really in the mood to really think of cantik-cantik words. Just wanted to blog. Again, ignore the English.

Yo yo yo! After err...4 months...New entry: PLKN!
It's almost a month since I came back from PLKN. Yeap, I was lazy to update my blog, because there's loads to catch up with...food, friends, family and college (food especially). Hehe. Alright, Let me share a lil bit of my PLKN experience with you all, my dear readers. Before I start, I wanna thank everyone who wished me luck before I went for my stint in NS, I'm sorry I couldn't reply all your messages. Just like to let you guys know that the sms messages you guys sent gave me lots of moral support. I would also like to thank those who've smsed and called me on weekends to kill the boredom, Lung Wang especially. Not to forget my family who went all the way there to pay me a visit.
Kem Geo Kosmo wasn't the nicest, newest, most beautiful camp. But I can't complain. I love that place and it'll forever be in my memory...the people that I've met and lived with there for about 3 months. Surprisingly, I adapted pretty well. I love my stint in PLKN. I had one of the greatest experience of my life.
The place is okay. The dorms were huge, 30 beds per dorm. There were 8 dorms and each dorm comes with its own toilet blocks where you shit, pee, bath and wash your underwear. There were a few ponds, really dirty ponds, obstacle course, football field (which we never set a single step on it throughout the whole programme), basketball court and many more.
82 days there went by real quick. It was really an experience. The first few days...walao...It was seriously tough, I got really homesick. I was never that homesick ever. I was ready to find any excuse to get myself out of there, it was agonizing, we practically sat in the hall for hours doing nothing. Basically the first 2 weeks sucked, it was all orientation and stuff as well as receiving our class uniforms, PT clothes, class shoes and sports shoes. I was thankful that I got clothes that were fitting and I gotta say, I look good in all the uniforms =p
I think when the third week began...things were simpler. I adapted, I didn't resist PLKN, I learnt to accept it, that's the only way that allowed me to enjoy myself and stay positive throughout the 3 months. We had plenty of activities. We have a few modules: Modul Pembinaan Diri, Modul Kenegaraan, Modul Khidmat Komuniti and Modul Fizikal. Modul Pembinaan Diri...was almost like kindergarten classes...but it was fun, I enjoyed almost every class. Modul Kenegaraan...aiyo...those are the most boring classes where they teach you to love the country. Modul Khidmat Komuniti...where we went out to play (haha). Basically in this modul...we get out of camp every Wednesdays and Saturdays and visit places. My group visited Hospital Slim River, UPSI, INSTUN, Akademi Bomba dan Penyelamant KKB, Taman Sinar Harapan and Loji Air Sungai Selisek. No, I did not go gotong-royongs or paint buildings.
Modul Fizikal is paling best one la...Haha. We had kawad, Tempur Tanpa Senjata (something like Taekwando), kayak, flying fox, absailing, obstacle course (kembara halangan) and Wirajaya! Wirajaya paling syok. We went jungle trekking, set up tents, cooked, slept in the jungle, did night duty in the jungle from 3am to 4am, luckily didn't see anything paranormal. We also played with M16 rifles...haha...played with it 3 years ago with Kadet Polis, so I wasn't that excited. But it was damn fun. One day of theory in camp, the next day...we left camp at 4am to Padang Sasar Jugra to tembak-menembak. Haha...nice la...
Ghost stories and encounters...got la. But I don't wanna talk about it here.
There are companies, basically, your team or groups. There are four companies: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta. At the end of the training...only one company wins best company through accumulation of scores from competitions such as volleyball, merentas desa, kawad, pertolongan cemas and memasak. My company Alpha...got last place. Haha. I had a pangkat later on, I was Ketua Platun L2 a.k.a. Ketua Bilik L2...basically the head of dorm la...Thanks to Aizat who recommended me to the teachers. Haha. So I have an extra certificate as Ketua Bilik.
Well...I believe that 3 months in PLKN changed me. I've learnt to become more appreciative towards everything I have like my family, friends and myself. I've also got to know people from all walks of life, learnt different cultures and customs and maybe a few words of other languages like Kadazan (thanks Lester =D ). Other than that, I've got to understand myself, my personality and feelings better and I've also learnt how to socialise and get along with different types of people. Also...become...a little bit more disciplined la, little bit only la.
Oh yeah...botak ok what...Save time from styling my hair. Used less shampoo also. Haha. But I still miss my fauxhawk la...Quickly grow my hair...grow...
So to those who've kena-ed PLKN, congratulations and be happy, it's an experience of a lifetime, accept it, it's gonna be fun and you're gonna enjoy it. To those who didn't kena...makan tahi =p
Well...I've met some expectations from my previous post.

-I'm more independent.
-I haven't overcome my fear of roaches T_T

-Learnt new stuff (of course la)
-I've improved my stamina for sure.
-More matured.

Well, 3 months of PLKN is a wonderful chapter of my life that started and ended sooner than I expected. I must say, I had fun, I was exposed to many new things, I believe that certain parts of me have changed for the better and it's been a wonderful and awesome experience.
