New Blog....
I'll be moving my blog posts completely to www.mrandmrsganem.blogspot.com. Visit us there to hear all that is happening. I am cautioning you though that it may be a while until I am able to catch up on all that has happened!
Goliath -
I am teaching a lesson this Sunday at church on David & Goliath - I drew a life size Goliath so that my class can have an idea of how big he really was. It even was eye opening for me...
His legs look a little funky but you get the idea...
The red mark is my height...
Isn't he just cute...
D-Backs Game.
We were able to get amazing D-Backs Tickets again this year... and Andrew & I were lucky enough to be able to go with my parents. We had a lot of fun I think.. it was fun to be able to spend time together. Although the D-Backs lost... it was still a good and close game. We were even lucky enough to see a few seconds of the Wiggle's Concert that followed the game - oh lucky us!!!
Don't they just look thrilled?
Isn't she just cute?
My attempt at getting everyone to look at the camera...
Bon Appetit.
I love to cook. I love to try new things out. I think it is fun.
Tonight I decided to make a pizza from scratch - not any pizza, but a stuffed crust pizza. I have used this recipe once before and the result was... okay - but tonight it tasted AMAZING! I think Andrew & my mom both liked it! Andrew even said it probably was the best homemade pizza he had ever had - were they just being nice to me? Who knows. I thought it tasted pretty good though...
a) crust all rolled out and stuffed with cheese. This is after I had cooked it some & if you look closely you can see the cheese from the crust melting out.
b) pizza ready to go in the oven - I buttered the crust & sprinkled it with garlic salt and mozzarella cheese.
c) pizza cooked & cut. You can see where the cheese is in the crust... mmm so good.
d) gone. My mom, Andrew & myself were able to finish the pizza ourselves. It was pretty good if I must say so myself.
Engaged: Creativity.
Anyone want to take a guess what this is?
Why yes - it is Rice.
Pink Rice.
& how do you think it became pink?
Does that answer your question?
Now your next question should be - What is she going to do with colored (yes we have it in other colors as well) rice?...
You'll just have to wait to find out!
(by the way I cannot take credit for the creativity of this idea - this all goes to my mom & Linda)
Engaged: Apartment cont.
As I mentioned before, the couch was delivered today & we LOVE it. We better love it too after all the work it took to get it in "the barn" (long story) and I don't think it is going to be too easy taking it out either. So long story short - WE LOVE IT! I love how it fits and looks in our apartment... and the most important part is that it is comfortable. I am excited to decorate and fill our apartment, the couch felt like a good start. My camera REALLY picked up the different ways that the fabric/material was laying at the time - so please note that our couch in person does not look so "streaky".
This second picture is a big thanks and kudos to the girls at work. We all had lunch this past Friday with the ladies from our insurance companies and it was a lot of fun. They're all so sweet. They gave some of the best gifts too! It was just fun to get together! I thought the picture of this sign (Thanks Jacquie) just about sums up the lunch... Thanks Ladies!
Engaged: Apartment.
Fourteen Days - FOURTEEN DAYS until Andrew & I are married. We are both ready for it to be here I think. I am ready for the planning to all be over and to be able to settle into a normal routine. I am excited for the big day though. It is going to be great. We have had the help of so many people during everything - we are both grateful.
Amid wedding planning - we have been working on our apartment, which I have mentioned before. We are going to be living in "the barn". Well it is an apartment on the second floor of the barn. It is actually really nice! You'll see the barn below - if you look closely you'll see the stairs in the middle...
Here is the living room area... our couches will be delivered Monday so it will REALLY look more like a home when those are here...
& here is the kitchen. It is all clean with a fresh coat of paint right now.. I have to take pictures now since I'm sure it won't look clean for a while again :)
A little bit of everything..
As you can tell from my lack of posting, things have been a little busy around here between wedding planning, work, and just every day life. So to sum up what I have been doing.... YES YOU GUESSED IT.... here are some pictures!!

Happy Fourth.
Fourth of July this year was a blast. We spent a lot of time with Andrew's family and I loved it. Sunday night we were able to watch fireworks (through the branches of a tree, yes, but we could still them) that were set off from the Peoria Sports Complex. It was fun - but because of our view I did not get to try out my camera on them... which is fine. I instead was able to use my camera on Andrew's cousin and his girlfriend who was visiting for the weekend. I at first was not sure if I liked having this holiday on a Sunday, but after all, I am not so sure if I mind....
Sharlene & myself
Monday was the real celebration. We had a family party/barbeque at Andrew's house but it was so much fun. A few months back Andrew's cousins had thought of the idea of Zucchini Cars - yes it is exactly what it sounds like.. cars made out of Zucchinis. So what did we all do Monday? We had a Zucchini Car race complete with a legit pine wood derby track. It was a lot of fun and I think the entire family enjoyed it, even though there were only 6 cars in the race... it was a fun evening filled with family, friends, food, swimming, laughter, and of course you cannot forget the Zucchinis!

I saw three cockroaches tonight.. three.. THREE!! Not only am I disgusted and freaked out by one cockroach - but three? Tonight they must want to keep me up, cockroaches really gross me out. You can bet that tomorrow we will have new (& tons of it) cockroach poison bait thingamajigs placed everywhere tomorrow... I can't handle those things. Gross.
Okay - now you know about the one bad thing about living on a "farm" - bugs! I promise our house is not so dirty too that there are just bugs lurking underneath piled up garbage, the bugs all really just are the result of living on a "farm" and due to the irrigation we have been getting lately.
So what have I - or we- been up to lately? We - Andrew & I - have been busy busy busy... this week we bought our TV, we bought our couch, bought the paint and supplies to paint our apartment, and have started getting the apartment prepped for a fresh coat of paint. On top of that we have both been working, so it is hard to find a time when we both are in the mood to work. One of us is either tired while the other is ready to work or vice versa. Maybe we should just work in shifts? Hmmm. This week has flown by. It has been nice. I am ready for the three day weekend as well - bonus! I am excited for Fireworks. I really want to try out my new camera on Sunday night and cannot wait to see what becomes of it. I still need to learn how to use the dang thing but I love it!
New blog to check out - a room somewhere.
Coworkers.
I love the people that I work with. I don't know how many people can honestly say that but I can. This is what I get at work after finding out that I was accepted into ASU's nursing program...
