11 inches heels

The catwalk guru, Benjamin Toh shows how to walk with an 11 inches heels. I don't get why some girls like to wear high heels, someone |I used to know like to wear them, but complains her feet hurts like every five minutes %&@#. I like girls who are confident enough to wear whatever she likes, either it be Crocs shoes, sandals or ever Converse sneakers. I like girls wearing Converse sneakers. Ahem, I'm drifting here but you get my point right?

Vogue for Virtue Charity Fashion Show 2012 - 21-4-2012

This is the third year I attended the fashion show at Queensbay. I was there in 2011 and 2010 too.

Earlier I was walking at Queensbay, and someone was walking next to me, I did not really pay attention who it was until someone called her name out. It was Amber Chia..lol. Of course no photos, its not my style to ask for a picture from celebrities.

Mr Marco, I met him at the International Integrity Conference last time. He is from one of the Hotels in Penang.

Bid for charity, two Clarks shoes were sold at RM1000 and RM700 each. Well, I wore Clarks shoes but mine only costs RM419.

How Ernest Emerson got into the knife business

Ernest Emerson made his first Balisong cause he cannot afford one for his training. Now, he is the president of Emerson Knives, which supply knives to the US Military. Here is a man who follows his dreams.

I wonder can I start experimenting in making knives, not to make a company, but just as a hobby. I do have a few blank blades laying around somewhere.

 

Civet Coffee

I was sitting in my office when I got a call from the Training Programme Department for coffee. Its funny that even though I am in administration now, I am closer with the training people, maybe because I am an ex lecturer.

It's not normal coffee that they invited me for, but its kopi luwak (civet coffee). It is made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract. This coffee was widely noted as the most expensive coffee in the world with prices reaching $160 per pound

How does it taste like? I feel it is stronger then espresso.

I am a nostalgic guy, and I have good memory, so I smiled when I saw these pictures of Penang in the 80s. I did not take these pictures but I will acknowledge the owners if known, most of them are found in the Internet.

Komtar in the in thing place to go in the 1990s. This image shows the building of the foundation of Komtar. Sadly things have deteriorated for Komtar in the new millenium, I would not even go to certain areas of Komtar at night without some weapons at hand.

Those were the good old days :)

Life is sweet

Panic at Queensbay

I was walking at Queensbay when suddenly I saw hordes of people going out of Queensbay. Earthquake tremors. Did I feel it, actually I felt a little dizzy before, but I thought it was my head.

The shops were closing while people try to go down the escalators. I thought, the chance of getting crushed to death by people was higher than the building actually collapsing. So I chatted with a guard while waiting for the crowd to be cleared.

Finally I managed to get outside the building. There was already a large crowd there.

I was wondering why so many people stayed so close to the building. If there were strong tremors, they might be crushed by the falling debris. I guess they have not watched so many disaster movies as me.

A few minutes later, the fire department was there with their trucks, sounding the siren and getting people off the beach. I guess that was for the tsunami precaution, since last time, there were some people killed when the tsunami hit Penang after the Aceh earthquake in 2004 if not mistaken.

The shops closed early that night, around 7.30 pm.

And the cause of all these is..

Last Weekend at Queensbay

There was a Hello Kitty show at Queensbay. You can even win a Hello Kitty car if you apply for a debit card, but I don't think that any man would drive it..lol

Then Hello Kitty made a live appearance.
