(you make me) dizzy with gladness
So much has transpired over the past few months.
Simply put, I've got no motivation to blog.
But because someone is, I decided to pick up again.

Won't be blogging as frequent, I already know that no one ever reads my blog anyway :P

And right now I am just happily living my fairytale dream (with the exception of school of course)

Miss this place.

Are your parents your role models?

Parents set the example for their child. Be it in a bad or good way, they are always looked up to. Your child is watching, whether you like it or not, are you exemplifying the right behaviour for them to follow? Children watch, and learn really quick. Mimicking someone else is the easiest way for a child or teen to pick up stuff, which can eventually become habits. Especially for my generation of youths, it is essential for good upbringing and moral righteousness to be brought forth into the growing years. Respect for elders, love for others, courtesy and good mannerism, practicing abstinence, and abstaining from drunkenness & smoking are supposed to be taught and inculcated in a child's personality and attitude from a young age. It saddens me to see how terrible this world's become and I really fear for the generations to come.

Elder siblings are also looked up to, but with not the same level of respect and awe as compared to a parent. Of course that also means that elder child must set a good example for their younger siblings. I am the first daughter, and it presses me in many ways, to love protect and care for my siblings, as well as excelling academically and in precious life skills. I am nowhere near the epitome yet, but I am striving my best to be an inspirational and motivation to my Alissa & Isaac.

Past two days had been full of surprises for me. Am very encouraged by my friends and their lives. Yesterday was an extremely tiring day at work. It was worse than my Monday's opening shift. I wasn't expecting Thursday opening to be so busy. I had no time for a breather at all. I had to be on my toes so that I could please both my manager and the customers, it was dead tiring for me. I didn't even have the time to take out the fresh trays of icecream when the old ones ran out. Stock check, booming sales, new signages; all had to be completed yesterday, just in time for the Christmas season too.

Surprise #1:
Raymond came by Serene for dessert!!! I was so very pleased to see him after so long!! He was able to fulfill a task for me that day too! I am so very glad he was able to do me this favour. Raymond if you're reading this, I still owe you one!

Surprise #2:
Nicholas Lim Xian Cheng came by too!! But it was after my shift ended while I was waiting for the rain to subside so I could leave the place. Apparently he knew Kim from Island too! So he gave me a lift to Queenstown MRT! Pleasantly surprised and also grateful for the short catchup time with him!

Surprise #3:
Mumsy sprung one on me by telling me we were having dinner with my third aunt! I was ecstatic! She is my fave aunt out of the four!!!! :)

Surprise #4:
For some weird reasons Jason Ang took the wrong bus home and landed up somewhere nearby, so he popped by the jap restaurant I was dining at and ate with us! So sweet to listen to his stories and see him again!

Well today brought new forms of happiness to me, it came in the form of my cousin and another friend lol! After gym training I went to Marina Sq for dinner with the same aunt and my cousin (with mumsy & IZ). This time Alissa wasn't around cos she went to work at Vivo. I had planned to meet my cousin Heng Guang to shop with him for a present!

Surprise #5:
I was walking about the food court deciding on what to eat when I bumped into Charles Nicholas Tan! He was alone so I invited him to join my table! Made friends with my mum, aunt and my cousin. He stooped around long enough for 3/4 of my shopping time with HG and boy, did we have so much fun! Those two boys together, despite a 4 years age gap, can be quite a bunch to handle. Anyway I did enjoy my time spent with both of them. Such precious memories :)

Dear all, I am currently watching a drama "Easy Fortune Happy Life" (Fu Qi You An Kang) and it stresses the importance of family ties, kindness and memories. Prolly the reason for this blog post.

Nonetheless enjoy the weekend, just in case I don't blog!

B Hahah yes I am back!

In reverend awe of my Maker
Meet Daniel, he is one of immense faith and courage. He had the favour of many kings, which also lead to many other people disliking him and are even jealous of him. Think about how we can be like Daniel, especially in today's society whereby there are so many idols that can take precedent over our lives?

My cousin gave birth a few days back on the 27th! Her daughter's name is Devonshyre. Wow honestly I've never heard of that name! But anyway I am really looking forward to seeing the baby gal :)

Late night movies with the family is becoming the norm. Tonight is another of such nights. No need to worry about safety when heading home nor ridiculously set curfews. We watched the next three days at vivocity. When alissa said the beginning was draggy, she didn't exaggerate at all. It was reaaaally boring at first with all the trial and error and precise planning. I really take my hat of to whomever this brainchild is. Breaking out from a prison is no easy feat (unless by the power of God; see paul & silas' story), and the plot is pretty simple yet rich. Amazing!

Time for bed, mumsy asked me why I had slept so early last night. Attempting to sleep duper early now onwards! God bless!

Swirl of happiness
milkshake dream

Milkshakes are one of my favourite comfort drinks. Avocado, banana, icecream shakes... You name it. I love the creamy texture and thickness of the drink, simply pleasurable. One of my favourite hangouts when I am out with Chari is Swensen's! We can spend hours chatting there over a glass of icecream shake/rootbeer float.

For some reasons I feel slightly disengaged about Sunday today. But one thing I definitely enjoyed was fellowship with my gals Cass & Rachie, and the short touch & go with Han Rong & his two good friends - Justin & Wilson. Didn't go for youth service today, told Stephen I couldn't be on duty as I had my final vocal lesson for the year today. I have certainly learnt much about breathing techniques and breathe management from Ms Karen Tay. It was especially refreshing to attend class today as she went through my favourite singing topic - harmony. I am extremely blessed to be able to harmonize naturally without much effort needed. Singing with Ms Karen was so surreal, especially when she harmonized with me. It was beautiful... though I would very much like to be singing the alto part instead.

Pleased with myself, I did vetting & editing for an important document last night. I will not divulge what that was for security purposes. I know my work will impact & help my friend. Instead of seeing it as a favour being done, I was actually really joyous and willing to do it. Praise the Lord.

I will be scooping icecream @ Island, Serene.
Yes I am going back to work, opening at the main outlet with Uncle Stan. Am kinda excited but nervous at the same time. Yeah it's ironic since I am one of the long service staff at Island. Oh well I pray everything will be fine & dandy tomorrow!!! :)

Maybe I'll ask my aunt if her office needs a part timer...

Han Rong's 2nd Bookout!
Taken in March 2009 @ Timbre The Substation

This boy is my polytechnic coursemate whose also one of my closer guy friends. He enlisted 8th November and today was his second book out. Today was also the very first time I saw him with his clean-shaven head. Very very adorable-cute!

Sakae Sushi ala carte at White Sands shopping centre & we bumped into Teck Hui and his gf Stephanie! My friendship with Teck Hui dates all the back to secondary school days when he was classmates with me from sec 1-4 :O *shudders* lol thankfully he wasn't in any of my classes in NP even though we were also coursemates. Teck Hui has certainly grown a lot in terms of maturity and size (ok he shrunk, becoming much fitter). Things the national service put you through. Han Rong has also became a lot more animated about his experience in BMT. Gosh I am kinda glad for the stuff he's going through in there but I pray for his safety! Field camp for the boys next week.

Anyway I bought my 2011 planner yesterday, I got fed up with the crazily inflated prices of my usual organizer so I decided to splurge a little more for a better quality one. Afterall the designs for the usual one I have are getting more ridiculous zzz!

Meet my red grandluxe monologue planner, it's 12.20SGD but so far I'm very pleased with it!

In contrast to my '10 planner

I have written birthdates in already and am eagerly awaiting 2011 to arrive.

Meanwhile, Christmas and New Year's first. Am really looking forward to the celebrations at church! :) Praise the Lord for my splendid 2010!!!!!
