Jocelyn & Jieying came to my house to surprise me in the morning! They gave me a mirror & a dress! Thank God for them! I was surprised!
Long flight! Had flu on the plane (China Airlines) Cant take the air on the plane! Very stale. Thank God for His creation! Beautiful sunrise/sunset, clouds…Vast heavens man… I watched 2 movies on the plane too, The Bucket List & 27 Dresses. Thank God! Was praying that there would be The Bucket List on the plane =) The Bucket List is a simple meaningful show about 2 aging strangers who are going to die and they create a list of things they would like to do before they die. One thing I took from the movie is the part where the Christian guy asked the other guy 2 Qs: - Do you have joy in your life? - Have you brought joy to other people’s lives? These made me think and reflect upon myself how to answer this Q for myself. 4th may 2008 Arrival at Westgate Leisure Resort! Nice place, comfortable, full of utilities, especially kitchen utilities! We have dishwasher, washing machine, DRYER, ironing board, towels, etc!!! It has a lot of things!! I’m so amazed…haha..especially by the dryer! The dryer is amazing…It dries the clothes TOTALLY…dun even need to hang out to dry further..can just straight away fold and keep already…woo….and the dishwasher also…it washes and then dries them as well!haha… We went to Publix supermarket to get groceries…but we went macs to eat first…bought like $80+ worth of groceries…me and wei teng (my roomie)..haha..two of us share… By the way, the water here has a weird smell! And after boiling the water there’s still a smell and weird taste to it…I miss S’pore’s tapwater =( But anyhow I just thank God so far…I know He has been with me and watching over me. I know His protection is upon me and He is providing and blessing me. =) By the way there’s no internet connection!! Sadded. Don’t know how man. Praying that there will be internet connection…so that can communicate with others in S’pore. We’re thinking of getting the cell phone here so that we can communicate among ourselves here and also want to get a bicycle here because the bus here (trolley) takes very long to come, frequency like every 30min. 5th may 2008 Had paperwork done and also drug testing in the morning..then they brought us into Seaworld to play! We didn’t play the rides cos we were in the wrong attire( formal wear-_-) , so we only looked at the sea creatures etc. My goodness! The creatures are so pretty!! Amazing. Took many photos. Had a fun time before we proceeded to eat lunch at A&W!!! Retro lo..so happie there’s A&W here. Haha. The float was good, but the food was ok only, no curly fries =( By the way, got my job assignment. Working as FSA cashier in the culinary operations at Smoky Creek (some café there). Then the US notes are all the same size!!! Unlike S’pore’s one with different colours and sizes lo. I wonder how I’m gonna change money to the customers. Hope I dun get it wrong. Hee. Went jogging with Zhong Kai. Jogged all the way to Seaworld and back. My goodness! I first time jog so far la! Took us about 30min to get to Seaworld, then the way back I walked a little too..haha. It was a good time. I was just praying for better situation with the guys cos me and wei teng are with Zhong Kai, Kee Yang, CC, Hongda and Baorong. So it was like 5 guys and 2 gers. The guys found us very slow and got pretty irritated with us and all. And they kept suaning us-_- So I was praying that things would be better and that God help me see the circumstance in a different way. Thank God because at least me and Zhong Kai kinda thrashed things out while jogging, like talked about it etc. So things should get better =) We had potluck dinner together!! Thank God for new friends made! Gotta know the 2 other gers in our same apartment, but closer to one of them (Fengru). The 2 of them don’t know each other one. Fengru is very friendly! And she intro-ed us our neighbours, Vanessa and Joy. So interesting. Then we had dinner together! Vanessa and Joy cooked fried rice, Hongda made barley and mashed potato, Baorong made baked potato with cheese, Zhongkai they all brought nuggets and pizza over too. Me and wei teng didn’t cooked anything =x we only provided the place. haha. Fun! There were like 11 of us having dinner together, sharing the food and all =) Just praying that I can try cooking cos it looks fun and want to see how my own cooking would be like. Haha. One day me and Wei Teng shall cook. Haha. 6th may 2008 I spent time with God. Thank God for the time with Him in the morning =) Thank you God for waking me up to spend time with You =) I then had breakfast with Fengru and then took a little nap then we went walmart. I made new friends Claire and Denise. We went walmart to buy more groceries-_- haha. We bought oyster sauce!!! Ordered bicycles too. Will go back and get them. We went back in the taxi that is cheap, only $2 per person. Haha. Then slept again-_- then we cooked!! Night was fun. We cooked corn soup and mashed potato with bak hwa and had a sumptuous dinner =) Played some card games and found out that Joy is a Christian! I’m still not too sure to get her to pray together not. But it’s a good start to know that there’s a fellow Christian around =) Thank God for answering that prayer! I believe He’s gonna provide even more and with the Holy Spirit’s prompting I shall go and talk to her and ask to pray together =) 7th may 2008 We had orientation in the morning till mid afternoon and we took our uniforms and employment pass…our uniforms are bad bad!!!high waisted and thick material and floral…haha….madness Went to florida mall later on and shopped there..haha…it’s huge and has a lot of shops man…haha…then finally got internet access!!got dial-up though…not too bad already…ha…cos we cant have wireless here cos it’s a resort… |
