ROM in....

8 days' time!

It will also be our 9th year anniversary getting together.

Have been really busy with all the preparations, and since I don't like last-minute work, somehow I am more relaxed for the coming one week before our ROM. Yes, it is just a ROM...not to worry so much. Hope everything will turn out well.

Have been down with food poisoning since Tuesday. Very bad indeed. Can you imagine you have to visit the loo every 30 minutes...I am amazed how stubborn I am to not go home and continue working. hahaha. I believe I am a sadist, to myself. Have been eating tasteless food for days, and I can't even finish my portion. Sorry that I have wasted quite an amount of food, but I really can't eat much. Worse is I need food before I can have my medication, so I have to force myself to eat. However, I am quite thankful that I got this food poisoning....which can help me to eat less and slim down? hahaha...a blessing in disguise?

Great meetings with friends and colleagues...really spent my day well yesterday meeting them. Many people think that I am crazy enough to go down to West for Christmas celebration when I am on leave. "You are on leave, but why do you still have to go to work?" So on and so forth...But I don't think it is a hassle at all. In fact I enjoyed doing it, and I am glad that I did that. I met up with the consultants, and know them more. You need to know them well in order to work well with them, that's what I think. They are a bunch of bubbly and nice people, as long as it doesn't concern work! Oops! Met up with my dearest primary school friends too. As usual, they are very entertaining...lolz. Never-ending conversations...I realise that I actually love to talk. A lot. Some how that trait in me has hidden deeper and deeper inside me over the years...what has happened I have no idea. Well, all these meetings won't be so smooth without my best chauffeur, boi!! Really appreciate that he went down all the way to Jurong with me to meet my colleagues, celebrated Xmas together, and accompanied me to meet my friends as well. Thank you so much! :)

I love December! It is a period where there will be many gatherings and updating on "current affairs". hahaha. It is also a time to look back and reflect on the things that you have accomplished, the setbacks, the joys and sorrows. If only our memories can be turned into a video clips, and we can archive them every year in our computers...when we are free, we can click on these clips and play them. It will be wonderful! We will need a whole lot of memory storage for this. Ok, enough said.

Meeting with the moo...

Had a fruitful week as we have finally confirmed our photographer & videographer yesterday.

Initially, we thought that Moo is too expensive, and therefore we have sourced for many other companies that can provide the same services. So, what makes us go for Moo? Well, I can say that their works are very impressive indeed, and they did receive many good reviews from their clients, including my friends. Another thing is, Boi and I feel that photography and videography are the most important part of a wedding as it will be kept as memories 10, 20 years down the road...So, we come to a conclusion that we shall go with the Moo! :)

Next, hotel is really a headache for us.Went MBS to see their ballrooms...not very impressive, but still ok. Rather expensive, given that there are nothing much given in the perks, and they don't allow any negotiation. Parking is a very major issue (according to reliable source), therefore we have decided to strike off MBS. And...that leads us to a loss in direction. 20 to 25 tables, where else can I find? So we were back to square-one, and started our sourcing again. Here's a list of venues to look out for...
1. Grand Copthorne Waterfront
2. Marina Mandarin Vanda
3. Meritus Mandarin Court
4. Orchard hotel ballroom 3
5. Grand Hyatt Hibiscus ballroom or Salon (if I am not wrong, I think I saw this in their website)

and I also contacted The Art House for their pricing for ROM...
Not very smooth as places around TAH are undergoing renovation and construction...and there will be noise!
Shall update more after we have seen those venues.

Still digging for photos dated 2003 - 2004...still can't find...have no idea where the soft copy is. Sad.

Yesterday was 11.11.11. Many weddings were held...and it is an important date for many people around the world. Got quite irritated with the 6-ones as it was posted so many times on FB by different people....So I keep seeing 11.11.11, like some kind of programming or stuff...haha...

Boi's cousin wedding today at Amara Sanctuary. So coincidental that his cousin is one of the RE consultants. Will expect to see many familiar faces later...Alright, time to change. Meeting Boi in 15 min's time! :D

My brain is fully occupied with...

W E D D I N G S T U F F !

Visited Carlton last Thursday when there were two weddings running concurrently. Empress 4 & 5 are nice, but seems like Carlton isn't very flexible with some arrangements. Quite disappointed with that though.

Went Pan Pacific today...everything is very good other than their ROM venue. Not anything near good, to simplify my description, very normal! 30 tables seem quite alot to us still, but well, who knows if there'll be any addition to the guest list by then. The coordinator is very friendly, unlike that of Oriental, which is a double plus point. Since we only coordinate with the event coordinator, he/she must make us feel approachable and comfortable to talk to. Else, it wouldn't be a happy one. Anyway, quite tempting, but still, I have another Hotel in mind to visit first before jumping into any conclusion. Discussion with boi is also very important.

As for photography & videography, we are more or less settled already. Waiting for boi to have meetup with the company before I can actually say anything.

Alright, busy week ahead with my work. Shall put this whole matter about wedding aside for the moment. Night!

Wedding preparation: Hotel selection & photography

This is a real major headache...still thinking which one to choose.

Went for Intercon's show last saturday...everything is good except the price. Haha. Well, should be able to use that as a gauge.

Currently in the list:
1. Pan Pacific Marina
2. Mandarin Oriental
3. Intercontinental
4. Marriott (is it true that the divorce rate is very high??)

Boi checked out Moomedia, and the price is really Wow!! No money...sad. Still searching for alternative, any good recommendation?

Too many things to handle recently...very occupied, happy and sometimes, it can be quite frustrating. Hope an organiser can help me to sort my stuffs. :)

Start of a busy week.

Just attended my secondary school friend's wedding...time flies...happy to see her find a wonderful husband. :) A great gathering with my classmates and schoolmates too. A good chat updating each other on their own life so-far...everything ends at 11pm, and our dear Chester had to give all of us a lift (he was the only one who drove). :)

Wedding...my turn is yet to come...yar, the whole world of mine is asking, and not yet, really..everything needs planning, so just have to wait.

Woke up early today morning feeling quite lost - the effect of not having enough sleep. Typing this while travelling to office..it's going to be a very busy day!! Tired.

Ok, time to get off the bus..

Suddenly feel the distance

Truth hurts, but I am happy that I have said it.
Should we even get married? I dunno. Have been thinking about this for quite some time...i think i am an individualist. Believe it or not, I wish to live alone somewhere where no one knows me. I dun need to accomodate or do things that i dun like. Anyway, i dun like to talk...and i can't outspeak anyone..

Maybe i should just leave Singapore...still thinking...

Blogger app, at last

It's been about a year since I last blogged. Perhaps no one will bother to visit my blog anymore, but thank to blogger app, I am back!

Recently, I realise that I can no longer stand this lady whom I see almost everyday. I was totally disgusted by her actions, words and 'abusing' her authority. Still trying to make myself adapt to her and accept her. Being so old and yet immature, thinking that everything should go het way...well, the more I say, the more I feel disgusted. Shall not make my mood worse.

Alright, a few updates on hammie.
She is really lazy.
She likes me to scratch her back...she normally will lie flat on the ground with her eyes closed when I do that...and soon she will fall asleep.
I manage to carry her without her struggling.
She is really cute!!

Boi and I are planning our ROM next year end. There are so many things need to consider, don't really know where and how to start.

Hmm...alright, good night!
