Oscar Photo Shoot Dec 2012

Oscar is our newest sensation!

A Star is Born... or rather saved from a shelter.
This is his first photo shoot.
Disclaimer:
These pictures don't include the one's that were taken of him in the Christmas Tree... ripping
down ornaments... trying to bite the lights... and clawing at the plastic pine needles.  He even
unwrapped a gift or two. I swear I found a blue bow in the bathroom.

Even though we had a professional photographer (me) they all happened to come out a little blurry.  Maybe
because he was constantly moving....

Anyway, back to our real photo shoot:
I told him to just "look natural" and he went for this "c  r  a  z y" sort of look instead.
I asked him what kind of prop he'd like to use, and he didn't say anything. He just grabbed
some tinsel. I think it works, so I let him have it.

After a few minutes, he just got up and walked off. Or was that me...?
I can't remember. I think we both just lost interest or something.

Cross Roads

I think I'm at a crossroads with my blog as well as other community sites on the Internet.
It's been a while since I posted anything on my blog.
I guess it's because I didn't think anybody was really interested.
I've since then had pages on Pinterest, Etsy, Copious and Facebook.
Without generating much interest on all but Facebook, I'm thinking I'll
say good-bye to all the others.
So if you are one of the two people who likes to keep up with what I'm doing,
just go to my Facebook page or J's Jewel's and I'll try and keep it current until such time as there is no interest at all.
You can still email me @ dgdesign@bellsouth.net
See ya,
Julia

Spring Is In The Air

With the beautiful weather outside, I have all the windows in the house open in the daytime.
I love this time of year.
Today I was looking out our bedroom window and I could see the cherry tree
in full bloom. And if you listened closely, you could hear all the huge bumble
bees buzzing around. The whole tree was buzzing with them.
Tonight I have the upstairs window open and I can listen to the thunder crack.
It sounds awesome.
Here comes the rain....

Molly's 22nd Birthday

This is really late in coming but....
We took a picture of Molly's birthday cake.
Dad put all the candles together in a sort of birthday bonfire mega candle.
She had an easy time blowing them out.
Her birthday was November 28, 1990.

Kittens, The Sequel

Annie and Jax have been with us over a week now.
Little Maggie passed away on Thursday morning in Molly's arms.
We are falling into a routine with them. Feed, play & purrrr, potty, nap, nap, nap, nap...
and do it all over again.
They are still on the bottle, but gradually going to solid food. And they are starting to figure
out the cat box.
I think dad has grow as attached as anyone.

Basket of Kittens

Molly came home last night with a basket of kittens. She found them just behind the building where she works. No sign of momma. Just three little squeeking kittens. The gal at the flower shop next to where she works took them to a vet to get advice on how to care for them. Their maybe 3 wks. old. She came home with a small bottle and some formula. They have to be fed every few hours. I haven't talked to Molly today, so I don't know how things went last night.
Molly is at school today, so I guess I'm technically kitten sitting... I guess that happens when your
a sucker for a cute face.
