Yes, I love Christmas & have at last started making some Christmas cards (& decorations).  Work has got worse but luckily crafting is such a good stress reliever.  Luckily we're on holiday this week & having a few days away in London :o) (& hopefully recharge our batteries).  Today's new Sentimental Sundays challenge is "Brads, Buttons &/or Bows".  The image I used was from Crafter's Companion (I think), the paper from my stash & I finished the card with a punched snowflake, button, Bakers twine & greeting.  Our fab sponsor is Paper Pretties & there is the chance to win 6 images of your choice so I hope you can join us.

Sorry for the rubbish photo

Celebrate the Season...

I really need to make more Christmas cards as I've only made a couple over the year & Christmas is creeping up on us (a bit too quickly for my liking as I have lots to do).  As our challenge at Sentimental Sunday is "Bling It Up" (+ a sentiment) I seized the opportunity & made a card with a Pink Petticoat's Diva Doodles digital image.  I colored the holly with Sakura Tiara pens & added gems for the berries.  The poinsettia is die cut from glitter foam & the centre is micro beads (the DP is from my never ending stash of papers),  ooh I added a bit of Glamour Dust too in case there wasn't enough sparkle lol.  Our fab sponsor is PPinkyDolls Art & do I hope you can join us.

The challenges:
Crafty Hazelnut - Something Beginning with P (Poinsettia)
Sparkle - Layer It Up
Coffee, Chocolate & Cards - High Heels & Purses

It's Clean & Simple All The Way!...

Oooh how I miss my papercrafting, blogging & visiting all your fab sites so I've decided I have to try & make more time & making CAS cards will certainly help? (hopefully lol).  I have learned to crochet which is something I've wanted to do for years but could never quite get the hang of it (only the basics but it's a start & I can make little flowers, which I've always wanted to do), so I am really chuffed!

On to the important stuff:  this week's Sentimental Sundays challenge is "Use Kraft Cardstock" (+ a sentiment).  For my card I used Pink Petticoat's Mr Moustache digital image stamp which I mounted on black card, added some twine & stars.  Our sponsor is Oak Pond Creations & there is the chance to win 3 of their wonderful images but - You've Gotta be in it to Win it! LOL   I hope you can join us & I look forward to seeing your fab creations.  Don't forget to check out the DT blogs for lots more inspiration.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend & thanks for looking :o) - Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back in the swing of crafting/blogging.  Hugs xxxx

Catching Up...

I am really going to try & get back to regular blogging cos I do love my lil blog :o)
This is a card I made a while ago for my son's birthday but haven't got round to posting it yet.  It is very simple but I do like these monkey images from Bugaboo which I coloured with ProMarkers.  I've been lucky enough to have a couple of my cards published in magazines in the last few months & will (hopefully) get them posted soon too.  We're away for the weekend so I won't get any crafting done then & I've just gotta hope my mojo has returned next week so I can get back to creating.

Missing Mojo...

if found please return here.  It is bad enough when you have lots of lovely crafting time if your mojo goes awol but when you only have limited time it is even more frustrating! I think the fact that every surface in my craft room is yet again covered with paper & every crafting item I possess (well not quite but it looks like it lol) doesn't help SO as I have a (much needed) day off from work my mission is to have a good ol clear out & tidy up (wish me luck).

I missed last weeks Sentimental Sundays challenge cos I just couldn't come up with anything that I wanted to post along side my wonderfully creative teamies & this week I had to make something cos it is my MILs birthday & I'm not happy with the card at all it has had to do.  The challenge is "Decorate your cards inside & out" (+ a sentiment).  I used a Hunkydory crafting pack I got free with a magazine.  I hope you will be able to join us & there is a fabulous prize up for grabs from our very own Calypso :o)

Just a couple of challenges this time:
Suzi Bee's - Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments - Add a Sentiment

I'm really sorry I haven't had time to visit your amazing blogs lately too, perhaps that is part of the problem - I'm lacking inspiration, I will try as soon as I can xx  Have a great week & I hope the sun is shining where you are (& you manage to fit in some crafty-tme :o)

The Sentimental Sundays challenge has had a little break but is back today with a new challenge which is "Christmas in July" (+ a greeting), luckily the weather here has been far from wintery in fact it actually feels like summer!  My card is CAS mainly cos still not had much time for crafting & also cos I saw a similar card on Pintrest & thought it looked cool.  I punched circles of scrap Christmas paper & edged with gold ink, I used a tag punch for the tops of the baubles & finished with ribbons, peel offs & a stamped greeting. I hope you can join us & you might even win a prize from our fab sponsor Zlatoena's Design :o)

Yes today is the last Jellypark Friends challenge & I am proud to say I've been part of Claire's DT from the very beginning, which was July 2011 - yes 3 years! I have no idea where the time has gone but I've loved every minute :o)  For our last challenge the theme is "Christmas in July" & I used the Christmas Robins digi stamp which I coloured with ProMarkers.  The papers are from my (very large) stash of Christmas papers & I finished the card with some Kraft card, tags, brad, wooden snowflake & gems.  I really hope you can join us for this last challenge & I look forward to seeing your creations (it's never too early to get a head start on your Christmas crafting).

Summer...

Today sees the start of a new Sentimental Sundays challenge which is "Summer" (with a sentiment). Our summer weather here is the UK as always is a bit hit & miss (at the moment it's more miss than hit unfortunately lol).  I made a tag (which was actually made for a swap group I'm in on Facebook) & kept it clean & simple cos I love this image which was a part of an Acid Drops & Whatnots stamp set I go free with a magazine :D  I coloured it with ProMarkers, used some Glamour Dust on the water & the sky was made using chalk & a cloud die cut.  I inked the edges & finished off with an eyelet and ribbon.  Our fab sponsor this week is All Dressed Stamps so there is the chance to win some gorgeous images.

When I Grow Up...

Well I never wanted to be a nurse (when I was a little girl I wanted to be a shoe designer, then when I was in secondary school I was going in the Navy but I met my now husband so didn't go) but I do work in a doctors surgery.   This week's challenge at Sentimental Sundays is "When I Grow Up" (+ a sentiment).  For my card I used another Jellypark image, this time "Girl in Nurse Costume" but this time I coloured it with my ProMarker blender pen & chalks & I like the naive feel it gives (well for this card at least ;o).  I kept the card simple (mainly due to time restraints but also cos I think the image is so sweet) just finishing off with a couple of flowers & pegs.  I hope you can find time to join us.

The challenges:
A Gem of a Challenge - For a Child
Freshly Brewed - Red, White & Blue
Open-Minded Crafting - Patriotic Colours

Jellypark AND Sentimental Sundays Challenges...

OMG I just don't have enough time lately to fit in as much crafting as I would like, I really don't know where the time goes.  I have just had a few days away in London which was fab but there have been so many things to catch up with since I got back I am struggling and I think I left my mojo in London too which doesn't help lol.  So hence the double post.

This week's challenge at Jellypark Friends is "Bold & Bright" due to lack of time & aforementioned mojo I made a quick bookmark, luckily it was saved by Claire's wonderful "Girl Eating Chocolate Bar" image which I coloured with ProMarkers, used a scrap of DP, added some sequins & ribbon.  On the back I stamped a Inkadinkado Kid Quote.

moment I took the photos on the lawn :D  Our sponsor is Bugaboo & I hope you can join us & have the chance to win some fab images.
