Last Night...
Last night was hard, really hard my head is still pounding and I can barely function hard. Dave spent most of the night tossing and turning because he couldn't get comfortable with his boot on or off. He kept taking his boot off and then putting it back on; man is velcrow loud in the wee hours of the morning. JT had another nightmare and ended up in bed with us, needless to say, I was smashed, or at least I thought I was. Next came P-money also with a nightmare who carefully crawled up onto my chest and fell asleep, now I truely know what being smashed is, multiple muscles became numb. Needless to say as soon as they were asleep I carefully wiggled my way out from being trapped and carried each one into their rooms. I'm beginning to think that I might need a HOT shower and another ibprofin to take away this pounding headache and these sore muscles. Thank goodness for Home Alone 3 to keep the little ones occupied or else I think my head might pop. Hopefully Dave is getting a good rest over at my parents.

Ending and Beginnings...
This weekend to say the least has been quite interesting full of many endings and new beginnings within our family. Most have been emotionally filled with happiness as well as sorrow.
Friday morning Mr. Tax Man decided to deposit part of our tax return and so we were able to pay off a few bills, thus ending our relationship with a few companies. I don't think that words could describe the joy and relief that it brought.
Saturday evening was the last race of the season for Utah Winter Cross, it was put on by UWX and the Utah Highway Patrol with benefits going to Make A Wish Foundation. I was happy/overwhelmed with excitement at the idea of having my husband back on the weekends and not out racing. Unfortunately it was not meant to last long. As I was pulling out of my parents coldesac I noticed I had missed a call from a 435 number and knew one of two things either Dave's phone lost its charge so he was borrowing someones to let me know his race positions or he got hurt. To make a long story short it was the latter. Dave tried to pass a few slower racers on the outside line and unfortunately cased the triple and broke his right ankle. I am so grateful to have amazing parents who agreed to watch our children and then take them to church in the morning as well as having amazing inlaws who took them Sunday night until later today when we got home. Needless to say this evening was full of endings and beginnings. The season ended for all of the racers, it also ended the year of riding for Dave, he is not able to work for the next 3 weeks and then when he is able to it will be "light duty". As far as beginnings that occurred on Sunday morning when Dave's surgery ended, he is the now proud owner of some serious hardware which include 2 plates and over 30 screws. He also now owns a handicap permit, a pair of crutches, and an amazing shuttle driver. (yep that's my new position)
The last beginning and ending is one that has brought many tears to our family, my dear Aunt Shawna lost her earthly battle and humbly accepted her new calling in Heaven. She fought her battle courageously with hope, love, and laughter always present to know her you couldn't help but fall in love. Family functions will not be the same without her presence but memories thankfully live forever. More than anything I am grateful for the knowledge, comfort, and faith which I have been given.
Sorry for those who read and are lost but sometimes thoughts aren't meant for anyone but me.
