We were all pretty excited to find out the Daddy-Daughter Council dance was going to be Harry Potter themed. Liesel already had her school uniform and robes to be Hermione Granger but Ireland is a Ravenclaw and wanted to go as Luna Lovegood. Fortunately, we have lots of geeky friends so the Professor Dumbeldore costume wasn't too hard to procure.
Whitney and Tim picked up the accessories while they were at Harry Potter World in Florida.
I pulled out the same pattern I have now used 3 times for Little Red Riding Hood, Hermione and now Luna.
I have to admit I wish our schools required uniforms. Not only would it make life so much easier, but they look so darn cute in them!
They were pretty Harry Potter'ed out.
They were quickly sorted into their houses since their house was pretty clear from their costume and had some food. I'm told the chocolate wands were delicious! Then they were off on a horcrux hunt- little symbols hidden throughout the rooms. Every time they found one, they got a stamp.
They mixed bath salt together- you can see it on the table above and Liesel is holding hers in this pic below.
They made monster books!
They also got to make their own wands. Ireland is pretty proud, no?
They looked pretty sharp for the photo booth!
All told, I think they did Harry Potter proud.
