Ok! Let me introduce the girls' new next of kin, Baby Joash Toh! Just arrived yesterday :)

My two Ah girl

For quite sometime, I have been obeserving the girls' behaviour. My mom told me children 三岁定性. So I quite concern my children turn out a good personality & happy person.

Abella used to be serious & introvert. She was not expressive, seldom smile. Im so worried she turn into a melancholy child. But eversince she recovered from a fever two months ago, she has become more cheerful, more smile on the face and sometimes even do funny act. She talks alot too, listen and express what she wants. Im so glad she's more interacting & fun now.

However, the used to be cheerful & talkative Clarabelle has become temperamental instead. She is always moody, selective listening and dont speak up. Thought she is still very funny, always do silly act, playful, always want to have fun and dont bother much things.

Last night, Abella took the school bag I've left on the table despite I told her not to. Clarabelle being embolden, took another bag, both happily playing with it. Then the daddy happen to pass by, quickly they placed back the bag. When daddy walked off, Clarabelle : " Oh! No more..." (puzzle? she meant daddy walk off)she took the bag again, So did Abella. So daring huh? Dont put mommy in the eyes??! So I called the magical words, "DADDY!!!" Immediately, their face turn green (esp Clara), quickly they putted back the bags.

The daddy received my sos, came asking what's happening. The daddy gave them a good "briefing" after listened to my complained and walked off. Abella accepted our explaination and went off playing again but Clarabelle instead, display her temper over her unsatifaction. She lay herself flat on the floor. This is her trademark. Even Abella knows. Whenever she lay flat on the floor, she is angry with something.

The loving Abella saw moody Clarabelle, came telling me: " Mommy, Clarabelle is sad..." I acknowledge Abella but I have to ignore Clara cos I know she wants to catch my attention. I dont give in either as I want her to learn to accept discipline and explaination. By displaying such attitute on her unsatifaction will not help her any.

After sometime, she realise I dont budge. She stand up mumbling she wants to sleep and tried hopping onto the bicycle. Abella saw, quickly went to assist her. After she got seated, she still displayed a unhappy face then closed her eyes pretending to sleep. Sweet Abella took the front seat and offer to fetch her home...(puzzle? that's their kid's talk) She wants to cheer her up : " Clarabelle we have reached! Are you happy?" Clara finally smile and cheered "Happy!" but very soon she turned moody again. Abella continue to pacify her: " clarabelle dont be sad huh? Be happy ok?" but Clarabelle just dont budge. Dishearted Abella told me : "Mommy, Clarabelle dont want to be happy... she wants to be sad..."

Awwh... Abella is such a love... so sensible with a heart of empathy...

As for Clarabelle, most probably we had to find another approach to correct her character. Maybe by soft approach or reverse psychology, I have to try it out very soon...

Exhausted girls

Last night when the daddy came to fetch me from work, the two girls were so worn out and already dosed off on the seat. Must be having alots of fun outing with the daddy whole day...

Yes! Today is the first time the girls are going to the movie theatre! And after so many years of confinement, daddy & mommy first show too! Heheh :)

It was an wonderful 2 hrs show. I like this movie very much. Breathtaking landscape of Antarctic, soul catching soundtrack and tap-dancing performance. Some of the scene I like extremely are, the part where those penguins gliding down the icy mountain, is too exciting. Then this 5 "amigo accent" penguins mocked at the sealion when it landed itself on the iceland after a thrilling chase with Mumble and when Mumble fall out with Gloria... They are too cute! I think the girls enjoyed very much too. They were so engross throughtout. Of course plus the nacho n cheese :p

The day has finally come...

A year ago, the maid was waiting for us here to start her new work journey in our family.
A year later, we brought back the maid to this same old place, transferring her to another employer.
That also means from today onwards, I will have an addition portfolio, Minister of domestic chores !!

Not very please with the addition title though, Im actually excited about reinstating back my privacy & personal lifestyle! Heheh!

Now I can walk freely in the house without the fear of bumping into the maid seeing me with inproper atire;

locate where I keep my stuff even with my eyes closed;
display all my fragile items without the fear it may be broken by carelessness;
decorate my house to my likeness without the fear of it may be re-oriented by someone.

I am so excited that this " no intruder's day " had arrived :)

Beside that, today is also another big milestones for us and the girls. After sending off the maid, we went to the school to do the registration for the girls' 2007 entry. Hopfully this place can provide the environment we want for the girls.

Creative pressie

This is a little pressie I just received from a colleague. She told me she just pluck whatever material she has to do the wrapping but this is so nice & creative... especially the snow (made of cotton wool), dono if those were recycled?! kekeke... :p

I'm dreaming of a white wet christmas

It has been raining consecutively non-stop for 3 days!

No, not even stop for 2 or 1 hr... just continuously raining cats and dogs then drizzle then heavy down pour again! The house is going to be like the xmas tree, not decorated with xmas ornaments with aura but damp laundry with mouldy smell. Even the hippo dont help. The floor is freezing cold and sticky. The quilt become a cold wrap... everything is so f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g c-o-l-d ...

But all these did not dampen the girls' mood any, cos they have their.... little red brolly!

See, just holding the brolly, they can be so contented.

This morning, finally can see the sunshine! Yeah! Can bring the children out!

"Mommy, can I bring the unbrella?"

"Yes, you may."


Dont leave your house without your umbrella, especially now is the raining season.

Double decker bus

Wondering what's Wonder Twins Power Girls' adventure today?
Ha! It's mommy's adventure too! Cos mommy gona bring us to take the double decker bus alone,without daddy! (of course ka ka going also but we only afraid of daddy... kekeke)

See, today we are extremely pretty too! Yes, it's the pretty pinky headband mommy bought for us last christmas. Clara found it. We putted it on ourself. So happy it's still fit snuggly on our head :)

Wow!!! Double Decker Bus is so huge! We took the steps, 1 2 3 4 5... and reached the 2nd deck. We gota the front view seat. Cooled man! A 100" plasma screen infront of us! This view is so magnificient!
I even have a personal mirror! Oops... better sit properly... cover my modesty.

Mommy say we are going to vivocity, can see many water fountain, cable cars? (what is cable car... anyway) beautiful sea and children playground! Yeah! Here we come, vivocity!

I always find the western culture very interesting. Read from Crazymommy blog about her black Friday Loot and I really yearn for those yard sale. You can 喜欢，喜欢 (as you like it) put up a sale signboard in the yard and starts selling. It's always interesting to see what "garbage" others have and it's could turn out another pericious.

This is a good concept. Very earth friendly. Things can be recycled, so less trash, less cost, save material, save money and good buy!

I thought of proposing this idea to our community center especially after spring cleaning and find my house has so many useless things and are collecting dust and the store room already fullhouse...
Then I saw our notice board "1 day Flea Market @ $20 "...

2. It's shopping Christmas Season
Before I start pondering on my new year resolution, better start putting down the name list and get kicking to hunt for xmas pressie for all my little ones :) Hm... Im like owning a big company huh? Closing year also very busy. People busy releasing FY, counting the profits. Me? Busy spending money shopping for gifts, xmas gifts, birthday gifts (wow! December have so many bday boys & girls) and this year kana many wedding invitation too... nxt month another one again... *can faint*

Anyway...

3. Reading " my paper 我 报 "
Not long ago, I picked up 我报 and it's such a pleasure reading it. Beside having Logic 9, another version of suduko, their contents are rather comprehensive and interesting. Most probably also their fonts are bigger and with fancy headings and illos, making the paper reading more fun.

当 不 死 苍 蝇 !

我有一个非常悲观的朋友，不论遇到什么事情总是往最坏的地方想。 买错了一双鞋，难过了一个星期； 被老板批评几句，担心丢饭碗，愁眉不展是她的心态。

有一天，我 Ms Shenton 看到了一个名词：逆境商数 (AQ, Adversity Quotient), 马上就让我想起这个朋友，因为她的 AQ 特别低。

什么是逆境商数？说的简单一点，就是遭遇到逆境或者不顺利时，心里的承受能力。

让我用一个生物实验来说明。
有一个著名的教授做过 这样一个实验：
首先，他把一个玻璃瓶放在桌子上，让瓶子的底部朝窗口有光的方向放，瓶口开着，然后把几只蜜蜂放进去。结果，蜜蜂在瓶内朝着光亮的地方飞去，想在瓶底找出口，结果只能撞在瓶壁上。这样一而再，再而三地飞，经过几次撞壁飞行后，蜜蜂终于发现光亮处只是一个出口假象，自己永远无法飞出瓶底，它们只好认命，在平底有亮光的地方等死。

教授把蜜蜂到出来，依然把瓶子平放，这次放进去的是苍蝇。令人惊讶的是，没过多久，苍蝇就飞出来了。

为什么苍蝇能找到出路呢？原因是，苍蝇经过多方面的尝试，不停转换方向和飞行方式，它们一碰
壁就换一个方向，因此很快就找到了出口，飞出瓶子。

苍蝇靠着不断尝试新方向，最后让自己脱离困境，而密峰却拘泥于光亮的瓶底，不知变通，不知找别的出路，因此深陷其中。可见，苍蝇的AQ比蜜蜂高得多了。

这个故事告诉我们，与其坐以待毙，不如多方面去尝试，因为多一个尝试等于多一次机会，比坐以待毙浪费时间好多了。

我们经常会碰到一些自己解决不了的问题，可是自己的问题总还是得自己解决。加强自己面对逆境的承受力，这样才能靠自己的力量解决自己的问题。

Wow kow! Finally finish typing this using hanyupinyin! Cant believe during school day, I actually gota 1st in an hanyupingyin competition... now I took almost half hr to complete this! Hmm... time to brush up my hanyupinyin too, if not how to teach the girls then... -_-" *sweat*

This article inspired me alot though the idea of being an HOUSEFLY is very U-N-C-O-O-L-E-D ! And I thought they are actually 莽头苍蝇 anyhow bombard... -_-, the writer had beautified them... kekeke...

Anyway I want to be an beautiful, high AQ butterfly! Heeheehee :p
